Copied exercises

ad

I am pretty religious about going to the gym... I do similar exercises every week... There is this guy that is always eyeballing me... I have always dismissed it. This guy now is doing practically my whole routine w/ out even speaking to me... Now I get why he was watching me though... At first I thought maybe he was gay? Now I understand that he was studying my routine, because appearantly he didn't have a good one of his own... There are a couple exercises I do, that I've never seen anyone else do until now!! At first I was like wtf that guy stole my routine, but in hindsight, I realize i should consider it a compliment... It goes back to the old saying "the best form of flattery is impersonation" In respect I stole my routine from several articles and exercise routines in flex magazine... I worked a lil harder to develop my routine than he had to, but when I was in school, if I sat next to this guy, I would have copied off of him!! I guess it all works out in the end...

I always pick up new excersizes by watching people at the gym, and I know some of the younger kids and older guys watch me perform some of my excersizes. The one day I did reverse curls, I felt half of the people in the weight room were staring, they must not have seen it before. Reverse curls make my forearms explode. A lot of people you see lifting don't know what the hell they are doing, my gym even offers a free 30 minute secession, with a personal trainer every month. Some of these scrawny dudes that lift shit for 30 reps, then say to their buddy that they are going to get huge, should take advantage of that, because they have no clue what they are doing. I see it all the time, and it pisses me off when they are clogging up the equipment I want to use. I don't have the time, nor is it my job, to tell all of the idiots at my gym how to eat, train, and what supplements to take. I had excellent teachers and coaches in school, that ran good weightlifting strength programs during the off-season of sports. I'm guessing from all of the inexperience I see, it isn't going on any more. I know my old health teacher/football coach, was let go of his position and later became a principal at the preschool, and he was in charge of many of those programs. It is too bad no one filled his shoes there.

Very true mate. I changed gyms about a year ago. There are 3 or 4 exercises nobody else did when i first joined, now half the guys do Them on a regular basis. Still makes me laugh, but is also a compliment!
