I'm glad I found this post. I consider myself a pretty devout christian for lack of better words. I've only ran one cycle and I've been training for 6 years. I can't really make any excuses for myself. I mean would Jesus use gear and spend hours in the gym? Probably not. I think it's more about the distraction issue as it's not healthy to be obsessed with anything. But with that being said, we're all obsessed with training and our progress, and it's alot better than most obsessions, I just personally can't say it's "right" as a christian.

I am also a Christian. I believe that we create our world. If your heart is in the right place and you treat others with love and respect then we are all better off.

And on the illegal use of steroids..... As you can see the United States government is about as far out of whack as it can be, so I don't let them create a moral standard for me or my family.

Harley1969, forgive the bold red. I don't always feel the need to be the loudest person in the room with the bold bright colors but I want to be sure you get this. You have been gracious and humble through this whole thread. Even as I fired shots directly at your faith and all that you hold sacred. THAT is what I always thought made a good Christian. Im sure if you asked your Pastor he would say doing juice is a sin...but if he asked you if you were using you would lie and so no ....which lying is a sin too....everything in Organized religion is a sin....thats why i choose spirituality it causes me to be responsible for my own actions and the repercussions thereof....honestly we have no idea what Jesus would think about steroids but i can assure you of this he'd have far more to say about the corrupt tyrannical government the U.S. has become and the murderous wars they promote that kill millions of innocent ppl.

Abaddon and I live in a house divided so to speak. He does not believe in God or Jesus and I do. I was raised in a Pentecostal church, where women didn't cut their hair.. wear pants or makeup. I loved going to church I love the people I knew there and I enjoyed the fellowship. As I grew and I became a teen it didn't take long before I wasn't following my churches idea..(NO pants, makeup, short hair) So I started going to different churches and trying to find my way... Now as an adult I am non denominational.. I do not believe it's fair to put a title on something that every single person will interpret differently. I can not stand here and tell anyone they are wrong for believing or not believing.. that's why it's a belief (psychological state in which an individual holds a conjecture or premise to be true) If someone wants to believe in aliens, unicorns, fairies and vampires who am I to say they are wrong.. I don't know.. no one does. To me it's a state of having something higher than myself to hold fast to. Will prayer alone heal someone? IDK it's never worked for me.. but can't I say it doesn't. I know that in times of darkness when you are alone, scared and have no one.. it's nice to have faith.. not just in the all mighty God, but in something greater.... just believing in the things that I would other wise shut out. Now, back to the topic.. as someone that comes from a group that believes you need to do certain things, look a certain way and blah blah blah.. do I think I'm going to be punished for not doing those things or doing other things that are frowned upon by some... NO I DO NOT! I do not believe that by doing something like steroids you will be a punished. Just like I don't think I'm going to hell for having piercings, tattoos, wear makeup and show some skin... It's all in the interpretation.. I can read the bible and you can read the bible.. and we will both see certain things differently. So you've got to take the outside worlds opinion on what to believe and throw that out.. just as it's your believe it's your idea of what you think it right or wrong that really matters.
