Anyone have accutane experience?
ad
Alright I have been cycling for about 5 years. Occasionally I would get pimples on my face just a couple. Now I got a couple cyst ones on my face and always have a bunch on my back. Its really a pain in the ass. I know Accutane has harsh side and can be very liver toxic. I also read that it can take care of the problem permanently for many if run for 6 months or so. So I have tried antibiotics and every other option there is. So I think im gona go with the last option and that's the Accutane. Anybody have anything to say about this?

I had really bade acne a few years ago, my doc put me on it for 6 months, but as time went on i kept gaining weight(not from the accutane).. the more weight i put on the longer I had to be on it, in total i think i was on it for 15-18 months. In my experience it dried my skin out that much it looked like i was shedding. It worked a treat and cleared my acne up really well, I'll still get the odd pimple here and there from time to time but no big deal. Side effects continued for years after it was discontinued, but everything is fine now except for 1 little private thing that bothers me a bit, not 100% sure if the accutane caused this or not.
I had the patience to listen what my derm said. I went through all other treatments before even thinking about Accutane. Hey breaking, you say it fixed yor acne permanently. Is that even while on cycle?
breakingfaceEveryone is different. But the goal of the protocol my doc. had me on was to provide a permanent solution. That's been my experience both on and off cycle, and I run some pretty extreme cycles.
How long did you run it for and at what dose? I know everyone is different but I just want to get an idea from someone elses personal experience
breakingfaceAccutane saved my face from horrible scarring. I had steroid induced acne. I spent over a year taking multiple oral antibiotics and RX creams. My skin was constantly inflamed, painful, and covered in acne. Eventually I put my foot down and told the dermatologist that I was done dancing around and wanted an actual solution. A few months of accutane permanently fixed my acne issues. I dont even have to wash my face anymore.
People say accutane is harsh ( something I contest) but how harsh is year after year of rx creams and antibiotics.
There was one other solution, you know.
tried minocycline, doxycycline, arythromycin, Bactrim, benzoyl peroxide cleansers, everything. My dermatologist says that the last option would be Accutane. And believe me we went through everything
breakingfaceYep. Same story with me.
There are so many alternatives don't jump to accutane before you try some other things. Minocycline or doxycycline could help you a lot. Accutane is very dangerous especially if your buying it online and not going through a doc. We're talking about unreversible digestive issues brother!!! Try some hot salt baths as home remedy.
blackrock90i'm in the same boat man, check out my post below!
I'm gonna buy it soon and run it... i've been having some sort of acne/pimples since high school, even off cycle.
