After My Lung Cancer Surgery

ad

It's good to be back.

Since being diagnosed back in August 2012 and after undergoing my lung cancer removal surgery back in December 2012, just 2 months later, I am finally back in the gym and doing what I enjoy most.

I was advised by my doctors and surgeons that it would take at least 12 months before I could expect to be back in the gym, but after bowing my head for long enough, I had a massive point to prove to myself and my doubters.

I HAD to know if I could I return after undergoing such an invasive surgery.

Admittedly, I am out of breath after just a few sets and I feel like I have an elephant sitting on my chest if I walk for much more than a few hundred yards.

But I MUST say, IT'S AWESOME TO BE BACK LIFTING THE PLATES AGAIN.

were you a smoker ?

I am a smoker, but that's not what caught up with me, Mate.

I had been on a 20 week bulking cycle and was using 500mg of Equipoise a week as part of the cycle. (As well as other products of course). Besides the benefits of Equipoise, it can create a condition within the body called Polycythemia. (It's where the body creates too many blood cells for the body to cope with).

Because of this, I unexpectedly collapsed at home after coughing up copious amounts of blood for three or four days. (I say unexpectedly, because for the days before I hadn't collapsed LOL). After being rushed to the hospital and being admitted into the I.C.U for 22 days because my left lung had collapsed, after they performed some tests, they found a carcinoid tumor happily growing away in my right lung.

So in one way, if I hadn't been on the juice and collapsed from the alveolar hemorrhage of the left lung, they'd never have found the tumor in the right and who knows where it would left me?

A long reply to a short question, but I'm jut being honest and thankful for getting my life back, Mate Smile
