Test prop pain?

ad

Hi there. About to run my 3rd cycle. Ran 2 previous Var/Proviron/Clen cycles at the maximum dosage I'm going to ever run Var. The gains I made were nice. They were beyond bikini and bordering on figure gains. I'm working towards solid figure gains.

Thinking of running test prop. Haven't been much of a pinner though. With a small insulin needle, I pinned my quads for 3 days of hcg after a long cycle. The injections didn't really hurt going in but the delayed onset pain/soreness (started about 2 hrs after each injection) in about a 6 inch radius of the injection site was amazing...like a 7 out of 10 pain level every time and hurt for 2-3 days each. Been really nervous about that ever since. I read somewhere that test prop is a painful injection. Does that mean it stings going in or that it has that delayed onset pain thing I described...or...both?

Also, any ladies had experience with hair loss on test prop? If I have to stick with Var to avoid considerable pain (I can stand a bit for the cause) and possible hair loss I will just run it again. It's gonna take me 3 more years of Var cycles to gain the size I want though. LOL. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Why were you pinning hcg?

Why did you pin the quads which are tricky to pin if you are newb to pinning ...

size is going to come in large part to diet ... training ...

hair loss is kind of gradual thing unless you are running a dht and then it falls out in clumps.

pinning a new muscle is going to involve some pip until your muscle gets used to it i would start with ventro glute and delts with a strict rotation schedule.

also, there really is no need to expect any pain from test prop in particular as the pip associated with it was from past brewing practices.

“Why pinning hcg?”
Coach recommended after running around a 20-week (maybe 22 weeks...hard to remember offhand) cycle. That was 3 days and clomid for I don’t remember how many days but my menstrual cycle returned after that.

“Why quads...tricky...?”
Coach recommended. Perhaps it was the best way he figured he could get me to calmly do it? He walked me through while on the phone (“...you can do this...no, you can...come on...ok sit down in a chair...”)

“Size is going...training”
Trying to move past my 50+ year old muscle growth rate/retention battle. Been training 2-3 hrs/day (not including LISS a few times/week) 4-6 days/week for 5 years. Just pulled back to a more reasonable schedule and volume but wanting to move beyond where that has taken me so far.

“hair loss...clumps”
Ok. Do you mean a gradually inevitable thing for females who cycle in general (but to varying degrees because all are different)?

“pinning a new...schedule”
Ok. Didn’t realize this. Ok if I go through with it I will do this.

“also, there really is no...practices”
Ok. Good to know.

Thanks so much for jumping in to reply!!

-never do anything in this game without knowing why...

-hard to know if someone is putting the pin in the correct place especially on quads where it is easy to stick the pin in the WRONG place when you can't see what they are doing

  • spending too much time in the gym... good to cut it back also since most people who are training chronically UNDER eat, make sure you are eating enough to support new muscle growth.

-yes gradual in a general sense but some compounds you experience and issue where you are pulling out hair and it is NOTICEABLY more that what you normally experience ... clumps

I think the pain from pinning prop is not as bad as people make it sound. When you’re injecting it in the Glut it’s even not noticeable to me.

Hmmm...tricks? I'm too easily moved right now. I had just given up on the idea but now I hear there are tricks. LOL.
Pin size -- it was a tiny insulin needle. I'm a complete pinning newb but I can't imagine that a smaller needle exists. LOL.

Hot pack -- I didn't try a hotpack as the pain usually set in while I was out and about and that didn't occur to me after my brain had been whirling for a couple of hours about how my leg might fall off or have to be amputated because I did something weird to it -- and sadly wasn't going to be able to explain to the doctor what that was. LOL. Very good idea though.

Rotation -- yep, out of necessity I switched legs (if that's what you mean?)

I will try to dm Grrl if she doesn't chime in here. Thank you

If your not used to pinning prop in the thighs can hurt.
Try your glutes but with eod pinning your going to need more injection sites to avoid scar tissue.
Use the search function for site rotation.

Frustrating stuff. Man! A week?! Yikes!

Yeah, that kind of sore is just -- ugh! Made me feel unwell. It wasn't like DOMS...it was worrisome. I think the fact that it was my first pinning experience made it extra worrisome because it made me wonder if I had done something wrong. Anyway, I'm not doing the test prop. I was only half committed to the idea anyway...obviously. I'll stick to my Var for now. LOL.

Augh. You are confirming my fear (re: the pain). To the hair loss/growth, I do usually experience body and facial hair growth on cycles but I've read there is a risk of head hair thinning related to DHT levels.

DOMS I can do and I actually enjoy a bit but that injection site soreness was something else. I think I skipped a leg day because of it...and I have a pretty good pain tolerance level. I've birthed kids! LOL. It was just that easy, Tbone (giving up the thought of running test prop). I'm just not feeling the thought of that injection experience. Currently writing out my li'l anavar cycle for my baby gains. It's ok. This is the first time I've started it relatively lean so I'll enjoy actually seeing the gains from the beginning. Slow bulk. Shorter cycle this time. 'Bout 12 weeks. We'll see. Thanks. :-)

Thanks Tbone!
