+ 1 Anavar side effects?

ad

Hello, my first post here and also first week on Anavar. I am 41, 5'4, 144, been lifting for 6 years, currently prepping for my first figure show with a coach (bulking/building). To start off, I am pretty anxious usually, take very low dose of Zoloft at night for anxiety. Just so happen, that the week I started Anavar, I had to deal with chit load of stress, so I don't know what exactly did it. I am on super low dose of 2.5 in am to start with (we are planning to go to 5 and then 10). So on the third day of taking it, I had (as I usually have ) about 3 cups of coffee during the day and went to the gym. I literally felt like I couldn't catch my breath, like I have asthma or something. I felt stronger and moved more weight, but felt sick and left without finishing my workout.

Next day, I had one cup of coffee, was fine, but then had BCAAs (sometimes I drink it throughout workout) and felt that again, like hot flushes, and can't catch my breath almost, but not that I can't breathe. I don't know how to describe it really. I finished the workout though. Today I only had 1 cup of coffee, 2.5 mg of anavar, no BCAA and I am aware of my breathing, maybe slow heartbeat? And also couple of times before bed I would have very short palpitations (just couple of seconds long).

I never had any heart problems, anxiety yes, but Zoloft helped. I do have benzos so I take a little during the day and before sleep. I understand that its first week and me having anxiety before kind of explains the symptoms. Will this go away? I am staying on 2.5 mg, I take no pre-workout, diet is 100%, just 1 cup of coffee. Or am I gonna drop dead? Smile I can suck it up if I have to.

thank you for any input

Caffeine doubles the uptake of anavar and can make you heart race.I noticed this while taking a pre workout and var and would feel the same way, like I couldn't catch my breath. There is a post on here that alludes to this.I lowers my dose of pre workout and it was all good.

Thank you! Me too, I lowered caffeine and only take BCAA and I feel better.

Hi, I just wanted to update if anyone is going through the same issues with Anavar. My side effects went away after about second week. I feel great any the gains are awesome! I can't drink as much coffee as before, which is fine and sometimes can't fall asleep. Other then that I am on week 6. The only thing is that my coach wants me to do 7 weeks and that's it and then wait for 6 weeks and so another 7. Does it sound right? I was thinking doing the whole cycle - 10-12 weeks. I just literally started making gains and looking different. Why stop me :( Does 6-7 weeks sounds too short to you guys? Thank you!

I ve never heard of 7 on 6 off ... most people go at least 8 and then 8 off .. most people peak about week 5/6 so quitting in week seven is a bit early in my opinion

Thank you! I will go for longer then.

it isn't out of the realm of possibilities that you are having adrenaline rushes ... also, steroids in a general sense do contribute to anxiety issues.... if you already have anxiety issues then it may exacerbate them. do you do any yoga or meditation in the evening to help with the anxiety?

bluerysalka's picture

Thank you, that makes sense. No, but you know what, I am gonna start mediating tonight. Not gonna hurt Smile I feel better today, as I just had one cup of coffee and dropped all the vitamins (B complex, D, fish oil and BCAA). Maybe I am a special case, but I feel like var makes everything else more intense.

Also, would vitamins interact with var in any way? It's probably super dumb question.

From a mans point of view i also have high anxiety and when I start my cycles I have a time frame of getting used to the higher bp and anxiety. I have to adjust my medication to fit.
Like meddx said check out the medications influence on each other including the var.
Be careful using multiple compounds even if there not all aas compounds they all still effect different chemicals in the body.
I wish you the best but drop the var if you keep having these issues. I myself can no longer take dbol or adrol because of the sides.

ok, thank you! It has been a week and I dropped everything (all vitamins, BCAA, etc) and will try for another week. I am hoping that I am just adjusting to this.

Gettingbig's picture

It could just be an adjustment but for people like us that have to struggle with anxiety it sometimes just isn't an option to get used to it.
If you can var is a wonderful compound.
Wish you the best

thank you!

A combo of Zoloft, Benzos and Var...even in low doses could trigger issues...do a Web search and look for contraindications with administration of the 3 drugs mentioned... Smile

Do you have any food/drug allergies?

Update stats and post an unidentifiable pic... Smile

+1 for pointing this out, brother.

I researched Zoloft and Var - no issues there. I don't ever take benzo on the regular, I have it and it took throughout the week (again, in very small doses) just to come down. No contradictions with benzo either (me and google are good friends, so did all the research b4 asking Smile No drug or food allergies. I am hoping that its just my body getting used to this stuff and it will go away. Thank you!
