+ 1 New Member Introduction

ad

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself.

I'm approaching 42 years old and have been involved with fitness on and off for most of my life. Like many people, I've had periods of consistency and periods where life got in the way.

Over the last year I've focused heavily on improving my health. I've lost approximately 55 pounds, cleaned up my diet, stopped drinking alcohol, and returned to regular training. My current focus is fat loss, overall fitness, and maintaining strength while managing an old shoulder injury.

My training currently includes:

Kettlebells
Heavy clubs/maces
Walking and conditioning work
Battle ropes
Mobility and rehabilitation exercises

My short-term goal is to continue reducing body fat and be in the best shape possible by my 43th birthday.

I've already spent some time reading through the forum and have been impressed by the amount of knowledge and experience shared here. I'm looking forward to learning from everyone and contributing where I can.

Thanks for having me.

You will lose strength if you aren’t strength training. Is that like not allowed? By doctors orders? If not you should add it in. All that stuff is cardio and cardio won’t retain muscle.
