Wrist pain & wrist strap?
ad
After doing a bunch of house remodel projects my wrist has been bothering me a bit. Pushing weights bothers me a bit. My wrist gets tired easier so now I'm wondering what to do next. Do I use wrist braces for extra support. Do I use them and when not needing them work on strengthening the wrist somehow. Or skip the brace all together.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sucks getting old lol

after my 6yrs in the military I had a long career as a brick mason sure know the ins and outs with wrist pain. few tips tricks and tonics for ya amigo. I say yes to wrist wraps when lifting heavy if your dealing with nerve inpingement wrist curls with a light dumbbell will help also get your gal or another person to hold and pull your thumb and pinky finger and shake your relaxed hand for 5 min followed up deep message to the wrist and meaty party between the thumb and pointer finger daily for a stretch you will regain strength and feeling in no time.
Have to do some serious wrist exercises. I have and had the same problem as you. I use wrist straps in the gym now and also do wrist exercises when not in the gym. If I didn't I would be sore as hell the next day and it would prevent me from lifting.
BigBmajWorking on wrist flexibility has helped me a lot. Bending wrists and hands, google it maybe. My wrists used to hurt often.
My carpel tunnel issues were acting up so I decided to try out versa-grips. They have been very helpful on all of the pulling exercises and I have seen a big improvement in my wrists. They cost about 50 bucks, but were well worth it for me.
They are also used as an "arch support" during pushing movements, but I have'nt been using them for that.
Yeah I was thinking of trying them. Pulling is fine for me. I had carpul tunnel in my other hand from doing too much drywall mudding and painting for my basement reno. It went away and has stayed away for a while luckily. This pain I have is only on the backside of my wrist when it flexes back. Not a lot of pain but I'd rather do something now before it turns worse.
try wrist wraps. i use them when i am doing heavier stuff. only like 20-25 bucks. sounds like you'd benefit more from them vs the versa-grips.
