+ 1 Why we are secretive about using gear
Recently this topic came up between my wife and I. She is the only person that knows about my use and even though she doesn't understand why, she stands behind me. Even after she initially found out because I left a vial out in the bathroom. And most recently she found a needle wrapper on the floor. Well this lead to a conversation about why steroid use is so discreet. I first explained to her that she was the only person who knew and I was going to keep it that way. I told her to look around the sports world over the past 10 years and all the rats that got busted felt inclined to indict others to take the pressure away from themselves, thats the world we live in. You just can't trust anyone, even those closest to you will use it against you if shit ever hits the fan. For me personally, those around me who I trust would never understand and vice versa. With the exception of my wife. I have one friend who I have been close to telling and I know he would want to jump right in. But this dude is just reckless. I've watched jump from one prohormone to another no cycle support, no pct, and constant binge drinking. I decided I just can't be responsible for him. So how does everyone around here go about this? Are you all by yourselves in this? If you've told friends, how did you go about it? and how did it turn out?

If you were arnie or sly they don't care but if your a nobody god forbid it lol
Here's my thought process. The people that are cool with steroids already know you're on by looking at you. The people that aren't cool with steroids will judge the fuck out of you and call you a cheater. So in reality, you gain next to nothing by advertising.
i have actually told a lot of people, not necessarily directly either. my wife found out shortly after i started and was really upset at first, and she still doesnt like it but accepts it. ive found out the hard way that the more ppl who know, the more that want to do it too and want me to not only get it for them but also do everything for them. nobody wants to take the time and research to learn for themselves, and also i hang out with a lot of ppl younger than me that want to cycle too and i dont feel right about it at all. ppl im sure gossip and talk about it, but i really dont care. yeah its illegal but i dont associate with ppl that are concerned with obeyng the law lol, and do enough of their own illegal substances. they do their things, i do mine, we all get along just fine. ppl know tho regardless - i put on 35 lbs in 3 months my 1st cycle, and as my buddy i work with explained, no protein shake will do that
Hmmm if your doing something illegal, keep ur mouth shut its nobodies damn business, and they won't be sharing a cell or splitting ur legal fees, so what's the upside?
Only my girlfriend knows. Now she has been researching and wants to try some Anavar. I even have to remove all my gear and anything associated with it (needles, PCT, etc) completely from my house when my parents come to visit. They "suspect" I am taking something and I think they snoop around trying to find it. The less people that know the better. AAS are illegal without a script, scheduled the same as cocaine or heroin. I wouldn't be going around telling people im a coke head or heroin addict. Word can spread pretty fast and get you in trouble just as quickly. If people want to think I am juicing, let them think that but I am not going to validate anything to them.
I'm open with it to my family and friends. My mom jokes with me whenever I fly in to see her if I'm on or off. Because that way she knows how much food to make for when I visit. Lol.
Please bros don't take this the wrong my dad taught me that if your ashamed of something then don't do it. It may have backfired on him because I took one in the quad in from of him like two weeks ago. I'm not saying I flaunt it or even talk about it but if someone asked me I would tell them.(no cops) I'm pretty open to women i date and they never seem to mind for obvious reasons. My current girl hits my lats for me. I absolutely understand why a person wouldn't want people to know but if your on good gear it's obvious anyways.
My wife of many years is the only person who knows. I would never share that information with anyone else.
Ive found its one of those things the less people that know the better off you are. People suck and can be vindictive. I get asked and tell them no.
two people at my gym know i do, but all of my family and close friends know. i dont care. everyone that knows me knows i dont go in fool hardy. i do things right with the best knowledge possible. so even the few family member that i knew prior to my use were against it, after i started again asked some questions and are now for it. i do keep my source secret, and the forum ;)
you can never convince an uneducated person theyre wrong!!!
I live in a small town with massive blabber mouths. It's already all around town that I juice. I'm only open about what I do with three people: my wife, my doctor, and a close friend. For me it's more a legal thing keeping me quiet rather than what people think. I could careless about what they think. But I really don't want to end up with three hots and a cot any time soon.
.
Most ppl I know aren't educated on the subject AT ALL! Have you ever tried to explain to someone that AAS is not the big ugly monster that its been perceived to be? The risks are minimized by proper use and education. You can't explain that to the average joe who hangs on to every word they hear in the media. So in dealing with those ppl, I just don't comment. It's none of their business anyway. But friends and family, they all know. I have 3 relatives now who are interested in AAS because of the education I've given them. One is an uncle who is 55 years old and suffering from low testosterone. But in a nutshell ,I keep it to myself because its exhausting trying to explain and educate someone who has preconceived notions.
What he said^^^^. I'm not ashamed of it I just don't want to be judged when people have no knowledge or experience on the subject
I couldn't agree more. I often find myself in debates with friends. If they see me reading a bodybuilding magazine the first thing they say is, "yeah thats natural. I'd look like that too if I was on steroids." When in reality they have no idea what kind of work goes into it. Especially when it comes to sports, specifically baseball. They see a-rod hit a fly ball to the wall and get caught and say, "see when he was juicing that would've been a homerun." But then if he hits one out or starts to go on a streak they automatically assume he's cheating. Pure ignorance.
I used to be pretty big and people would say that's just because your on roids. Hehehe I mean so people think "ya man just take a shot and you'll be big". It's hard work no doubt. Hitting home runs is about bat speed more than actually being big but Barry sure swung that thing fast. I'm gonna eat something...
That's the type of shit that makes me want to just straight up fucking rage brother. Flat out ignorance.
isnt that the truth, yes you can get bigger on cycle, yes you can look better, yes you can feel better. BUT i put in 10 times more work on cycle to make those gains. if they only really knew how much harder you work on cycle versus when you arent
You grew a beard. Sweet. The boobies were better though.
I try to show support for steroids whenever the topic arises. I give my 2 cents why its not nearly what the media makes it out to be and rebut all the misinformation when possible. I even did a speech on why we should legalize steroids and regulate them in the States. I don't go around telling everyone I do steroids but I will pick and choose who I tell and I don't give a crap usually.
Its these old gizzards that can't stand anyone breaking the records of the players in the early 1900 they have rigged the games so its impossible. In baseball they changed the composition of the ball so its alto more difficult to hit a HR. Now even though all of the player juice the pretend to be against AAS that way they can have their cake and eat it too. They get all of the benefits of AAS the game stays exciting and competitive and if a player brakes any records of the old timers they go after them and destroy them so they can keep their beloved Babe Ruths of the game. Would baseball be Americas pass time if Babe Ruth was beat by some Cubans and Dominican Repulic Spics that you cant even pronounce there names?
Is it really cheating if they ALL do it?
Very true, baseball traditionalist do not want to see records broken, especially by non-Americans. The sport was a different game back then, but I believe the Bambino would even dominate the sport if he played today. Back then he was a drunk that ate shitty, loved to smoke, and womanize. With those bad habits he still dominated. With today's sports technology he would only be better, and he would only lengthen his career if he cleaned his act up. He was also a big lefty that could hit and pitch, which is always in demand. The Babe was an athlete, there is no reason why he couldn't adapt to the rules today if he grew up in this era.
I know. Killing baseball with all the bat changes its ridiculous. I know a high school kid died because of a line drive( god bless him and his family) but why change the entire game ??!! Accidents happen. Like college football making them kick off closer. Their taking all the exciting things out of the game. I often find myself thinking when I'm watching a game "this would be so much better if all these guys were on roids". Bring back the XFL lol.
Its nobodies business what you do. So theres no reason to share it with everyone. For me my girl knows. I told her when we were in the process of getting together. And she is cool with it. She supports whatever I do. Then I have a friend that knows. There are a lot of people that say that im on steroids or ask if I am. I always tell them just train hard, eat and rest.
I don't tell anybody at all
people fear what they do not understand.
I haven't told any friends.. Just my girlfriend because honestly they will use it against you given a shitty enough reason.. No need for the stress imo..
One word.... " media". They have solidified in people's heads that it is immoral, wrong, cheating, ( insert your negative word here) to use steroids. They make it seem as if once in a while an athletes desides to dope and he/she is an evil villan, even though the rest if their team/sport mates are doing it also. It almost seems like a " it's not good to cheat" lesson for kids that had gone south and blown out of proportion. I'm convinced every pro sport franchise is aware of every single player that is using, and keeps that card in their hand to use if they ever need leverage against any certain player or team. Just my 2 cents
A very good documentary to watch is Bigger Faster Stronger by Chris Bell ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1151309/) I have personally see this video turn skeptics into aas users!
I think the only person i would tell is my gym partner although i would NEVER recommend it to him since he isnt at the right stage in the gym
