Why do I feel like shit after working out?

ad

Most people would feel good, I feel nautious and have a slight headache. is it because im just gettin back to it or maybe my zero carb diet?

You need pre-workout carbs and after a workout there is about a 35 minute window to get crabs in or your body get catabolic!

I was in the woods hunting the other day I seen a big hairy beast. I yelled Greg, Greg but I got scared and ran away...... :-)

Odd, I was doing the same. I was yelling, "Zeb, Zeb", (because Zeb0312 does not roll of the tongue so well).

Anyway, I was run off by some Sierra club types who thought I was a brit hunting for a zebra.

Zero carb diet will definitely do it bro. Which is why even when dieting i make damn sure i eat some carbs pre and post workout

Carbs bro....
I eat good carbs with all my meals up til around 5pm because I ain't as active after that time. I switch to veggies then and add a little more fats in as well...

I always keep switching it up to.....

Just my 2 cents.

Same thing I do. I can't have a good workout without carbs.

Watch out!! It's Uncle Rhabdo, the clown. He also needs to watch out for ketoacidosis.

Its because you are carb depleted, I am the same way when I leave. That's why I have carbs when I get home. Put some gummy bears in your gym bag and eat a handful when you get out, you will feel better after about 20 minutes.

You need carbs. That train of thought is old school about no carbs loses weight. Have your carbs earlier in the day, especially at breakfast, up your good fats and protein. But you need carbs. Just stay away from shitty ones like white bread etc. Go for brown. But you need carbs!

I feel great after a work out but if I drink whey protien after I feel the same way as you so I don't use whey at all because of that I have to eat food instead

irongame427's picture

Same here drinking a protein shake after will make me sick and wanna pass out.

Op this used to happen to me every workout for like 6 months, it stopped when I made sure I ate enough during the day especially carbs, made sure I didn't eat to close to a workout and that's pretty much it. For the longest time like halfway though my workout I'd start to feel like total shit, like I'm gonna puke, then after I'd get home and pass out for like An hour and then feel ok. It was so weird because I used to be able to lift for 2 hours, drink a massive shake after and 30 mins later be starving for real food. Come out of the gym feeling awesome on a high not like I'm about to puke and pass out.

Carbs = energy...

No carbs = no energy. What you want is a low carb diet... not a zero carb diet.

7gothic's picture

HUH??? LOL
The amount of carbs you're getting from eggs and cheese wouldn't fuel a field mouse.

7gothic's picture

ZERO carb diet???
There's your answer.... I'm surprised you don't feel the same way just checking the mail.

ashop's picture

Most cases its diet related and in your case its Definitely that zero carb diet.
I always walk out of the gym feeling like a million dollars but I never cut carbs too low.

Both likely. Not enough info here to give much advice.
