Completely utterly depressed and out of shape FAT

ad

Guys,

I am severely depressed, I started working in the oil fields about a year ago and have probably lifted weights about a month out of that year letting myself go. I have started drinking almost every weekend and have gone from 225lbs to 245lbs. so I have gained 20lbs of what I am thinking is pure fat. I have lost all of my muscle and no longer have cuts n bicep veins.

What can I do? I go to the gym and its just flat out depressing to look at myself in the mirror. I have no muscle cuts and can barely put up 135 ten times. I have been considering running some stuff to really get back into it and I have been on my low carb diet again for a week. What do you think guys? should I run some stuff? I honestly know that when I run stuff it forces me to stay disciplined and focused. I know it should be the other way around but I have a weird mind set. my profile pic was me at about 225lbs I refuse to post one right now as I cant stand to look at it....im not to far gone but im getting there.

I am 6'0 tall and my cycle history is 1 cycle of Test E for 12 weeks.

Thought ill share my input as I have previously been in this situation before 2 years ago, I initially told the other half am hibernating in the winter, and decided to lay of gym for 3 months eating nothing but junk. Takeaways near enough everyday! I was really enjoying myself but I ended up really over weight and losing a lot of muscle mass. First time I could see love handles!! looked awful!

Then randomly I was looking at my old photo and took a recent one and I promised to not let myself go again and get back to how I used to look. Felt disgusted to see how I let myself go.

I found the easiest way to motivate myself, is to have no junk food in my cupboards, not even fizzy drinks, so I don't get tempted to eat junk food.

If you really want to eat a kebab or a takeaway, save it for the weekend, once a month.

Depending on your goals, I think cardio is something you may want to consider and of course diet is the key to everything, no matter how much gear, cardio will make any difference if you are not putting effort in the kitchen.

Don't give up! we all been there.

Just so you should know it took me 3 months to shed the extra fat, watch those calories Smile

Out of curiosity, how's it going Nate? Also, why does nobody recommend HGH? I'm new to this, so just curious...

MrAdamo's picture

Probably cos it's so damn expensive.. HGH is incredible for burning fat, leaning out, and staying young - but even a minimal dose is far, far more expensive than Testosterone-based compounds, and so it's really out of reach for most of us. I used HGH for a short time, and found it highly effective even on a low dose, but it ultimately became too expensive and I started looking into Testosterone.

For example, a 12 week cycle of Testosterone Enanthate on a high, 'performance enhancing' dose of 500-750mg p/w is likely to cost you around $100-150USD, whereas a 12 week cycle of HGH on a low, 'therapeutic' dose of 1-2 IU per day will probably cost you around $1000USD or thereabouts. And if you're looking for a serious 'bodybuilding' dose of HGH, then you can double or even triple that amount. I've heard of guys taking up to 12 IU per day, which even at the best UGL prices, would be thousands of dollars per week..

HGH is the fountain of youth for the rich and famous. It's illegal to prescribe for anything other than a handful of specific medical conditions, but there are big loopholes and workarounds that Doctors in the 'Anti-Aging' industry will use for wealthy clients. It's very common in places like Hollywood and Professional Sports, where peak physical condition and a youthful appearance is essential. It's the reason that 50 year old celebrities like Tom Cruise still look like they're in their 30's, and so this is the main reason its so expensive.

But hey, if you can afford it then go ahead! I would definitely take it again if I could afford it..

wow was i on the same boat before summer. i ballooned to 252-260 at my highest from 230. i lost my first 10 pounds doing an hour of cardio a day, watching what i eat, and doing some light lifting that i normally would have laughed at when i was lifting routinely. 2 months later im down to 229/230 after getting my macros in check and lifting in order. when i first went back to gym i absolutely freaked at.how bad my lifts were but that motivated me more. i said okay, back to square one...so i lifted with better form and with better contractions...now, its still weak but for the first time in my life ive benched 235 , DL 365 and squat im at 300, no gear ...except for some clen and ECA which are absolute horseshit (by horse shit i mean than i could have easily gone without them and seen same results) my best advice? dont.be a bitch about it. sorry for being blunt but you need it. i went from 225 to maybe 115 and it gave me a clean slate to start from. so go now! lift angry and eat right. youll get used to the movements again , your weight will drop, you will lift more, and everything back to normal. its as easy as it sounds.

Ok lets do this, time to get serious!!

Diet: I would drop carbs slowly, go for 100g first day 75g second day and so on till you about >10 carbs a day and continue that for the long haul until you meet your goal weight, I would NOT do a cheat meal or refeed until about a month or so into your no card diet.. I saw your pictures from before, looks like carbs make you fat so guess what, drop the carbs and alcohol.. DO NOT DRINK!! this is so important..

Supplements: Well this is what motivates me in the gym and gets me there in the first place.. you can buy a good pre workout but I make my own, I buy all the bulk stuff online so you can always get it. I use Creatine Carnitine, Arginine, Citrulline Malate and a bit of insta coffee... THIS SHIT WILL GET YOU THERE.. put that down and you will have no choice but to hit the gym..

Training: Start off slow, watch some good videos from the pros, mimic what they do... don't fuckin worry about weight just worry about the tension and feel your muscles, Im sure you know how to lift but throw your ego out and just make sure you get in a solid hour at least, minimal break.. throw some cardio in there, while you on the machine focus on what you want to be!

I know you might know some of this shit but it's good for other people to push you and get you going.. do this and you will be where you want to be in a month or two and you can go from there.. I guarantee you will see weekly changes with that low card diet and training.. dont cheat!! Also, feel free to pm me and I can help you with your diet if you need, I am currently cutting and have just got back in the gym after an accident myself so I know how it is to be over 20% BF Lol!

A Cycle is out of the question for you right now. Anything you gain will come right off when it's over.
Diet and training is the key right now! Drop the drinking.

What changed when you went to work in the oil fields? I'm going to guess that you have a hard time eating right and training because of your job. If that's the case, you have to find a way to make it work first. Looking at your pictures it's evident that you know how to do it. You just need to make a routine and stick to it. Muscle memory is an amazing thing, with some discipline you should see good results without gear. Clean up that diet and lose the booze.

As for the gym frustration, dude, turn the headphones up and wear a hoodie with the hood up. Zone everybody out and work your ass off. Who cares if you're pushing 135 or 335? Work on your muscles, not your ego. Just make sure that when you walk out, you're spent.

That's blows man but you need to dig deep and make that shit happen. A tiny anytime fitness is perfect! Get the ball rolling and you will be king of that place in no time.

I've been in the same fat, down on myself, frustrated place bro. My wife had 2 kids in 15 months and got switched to 12 hr shifts. I didn't have time to piss ! I never went to the gym, ate like complete shit and got about no sleep. You can rebound from it but it takes A Lot of work. I hated going to the gym when I first went back. Once you start to see change from nutrition and actually going to the gym, it will get better.
I wish you the very best man!

I think cross fit would get you going. It will jumpstart your motivation and being around people can inspire you to do better. It happens man don't be hard on yourself you just need to adapt and start slowly. You'll be fine. You're 25 years old, tomorrow is a fresh start. No more drinking and get your life together before you spiral out.

Justanotherguy's picture

Your issue is a phycological problem bro. Running any AAS won't do anything. You need to find the root cause for why your unmotivated and drink.

Hustle28's picture

Don't get near any gear go get a bloo test first ...... Also if u have no muscle base stay away from low carb diets. Get motivated man stay away from the alcohol and cut the crap out of ur life as of right I don't anyone will recommend u to use gear. And being on gear shouldn't be an excuse for u to want to get in shape aas is to polish up gains today is a new day my friend get ur ass and build some muscle for 2-3 months then slowly reduce ur carbs so u can get low enough to get back on a cycle if ur diet and training are right only

Make sure to get a blood test cuz what if u didn't recover from ur cycle since u did cycle before the adequate age of 25+yrs old

Hustle28's picture

That's great well then there's no excuse for u not to be building muscle then ..... What were ur e2 levels?? Bro I work 14-16hrs sometimes and I just make time to prep my meals all u need is an hr in the weight room 4-5 times a week. U could be struggling with energy cuz u dropped carbs way too fast take it in phases ......

Time+tension = growth (gainz)
