Which is your Favourite: Pull-ups, Chin-ups or Pulldowns?

ad

Just wondered what everyone's Favourite vertical pull exercise is, Pull-up's or chin-ups (Bodyweight/weighted) or Pulldowns/neutral grip etc (Machine based)? Include Muscle-ups if you can do them!

I know they are slightly easier than pull-ups but mine are chin-ups, purely for the additional biceps and forearm involvement you also get.

Have a Great weekend everyone.

They can all have there place in back training but I would say old school pull ups have built more big backs than anything else.

It's a bit different to the exercises being discussed here, but a great little video I've just watched with some great psychological tips & training methods discussed by a guy with some of the Hugest arms ever!:

I prefer pulldowns, can get a better contraction and pump doing them, but I'm working on improving my pull up volume so who knows when that's up to par I might prefer pull ups.

I remember the first time I ever saw this Big grizzly bear looking bloke when I was 16 doing weighted pull ups with a 20 kg dumbell hanging inbetween his legs - I thought it looked so fu**in cool at the time!

Getting the weight belt off is killer after going to failure isn't it Lol
