+ 10 WATER AND LONGEVITY!
Anti-aging and longevity are often confused. The former is reversing the aging process with various hormone replacements. Whether or not this helps an individual live longer is debatable. Longevity is the prolonging of the life span.
Perhaps it may sound like an oversimplification, sufficient water consumption may prolong one’s life span, yet it really is not. Most doctors are probably not fully aware of the benefits of sufficient water consumption.
Flu sufferers are told to drink plenty of fluids, yet few doctors stress this enough with healthy patients. Part of the annual exam should be discussing fluid intake.
Water regulates body temperature, lubricates joints, and helps distribute electrolytes (sodium and potassium) through the bloodstream. Sufficient water intake is important for internal body cleansing and maintenance. Poisons that accumulate in our bodies are removed quickly through the urinary tract giving them less time to settle in various body parts and organs. Allowing them to settle in body cells or organs can only mean trouble over a long period of time.
Someday a study will be performed on the relationship of water intake, longevity, and overall health. Undoubtedly the study will conclude that people who drink large amounts of water are healthier, and live longer.
Insufficient water intake leads to reduced kidney output. Reduced kidney output over a long period of time can lead to kidney failure. Drinking plenty of water is like purchasing an insurance policy against this, and it is a low cost bargain. Kidney stones aren’t fun and sufficient water intake helps reduce the chances of facing this problem.
Hot days and exercise make the need for fluid intake imperative. Failure to drink fluids in these situations can cause dehydration. Fortunately most bodybuilders do drink a lot of water!
Car owners flush their radiator and cooling system periodically. Water consumption is analogous to flushing the bodies internal system, removing impurities and replacing them with clean fluid. Our body is no different than a car, it simply runs better with clean fluid. Filtered water is much preferred over regular tap water. However, even tap water is far better than nothing.
Try to develop good water drinking habits. Always keep a glass of water on the night table. Make sure to consume a glass of water after every meal. Keep a glass of water on the desk at work. If work entails driving or working in the field, always carry plenty of bottled water. Obviously, there will be more trips to the restroom, but that’s great. Although it’s a little inconvenient, it brings a lot of good health.
Water intake is subtle. It’s not that you will feel so much better, it’s that many serious illnesses may be avoided. Avoiding serious illness increases the chances for a longer life.
Sometimes the simplest answers are the best. This is a no risk, no brainer scenario. There is no doctor to convince, there is no risk versus benefit to consider, the only risk is not doing it, and there is nothing to lose. It’s not unconventional medicine, it’s conventional common sense. If it is logical, it will work and that’s the theme.
People search the world for answers and are willing to pay large sums for results yet there are times when the best solutions are as close as the nearest sink.
Drink a minimum of eight 12 ounce glasses of filtered water everyday! Never stop.

+ for a great post.
All this talk about thick blood or high hemocrit etc., 1 liter of water 1st thing in the AM (along with an additional 2-4L/d, or 3-5 total L/d can help alleviate this).
If I can add, I’ve found that drinking water during or after meals impedes my digestion. Not sure if it flushes the digestive juices or what; but personally I’ve found drinking water in between meals, to 5-10 min before a meal has helped my digestion immensely.
Water helps with digestion pre food because the body will rob water from elsewhere to digest it properly if it's needed. Of your slightly dehydrated digestion with be a slower process.
Water
Fish/krill oil
Beetroot juice
Is absaloutely perfect combination for healthy blood and blood pressure.
The results are noticeable within days
if my pee is anything but clear I drink more water. its 108 in sacramento, 1.5 gallons easy.
JayD718Anti-aging and longevity are not scientific terms, and I feel they're open to interpretation. IMO, anti-aging doesn't really refer to reversing the aging process, but instead haulting or slowing the aging process. Also, just the pharse anti-aging doesn't have anything to do with injecting hormones. You can buy anti-aging health supplements at the vitamin store, or anti-aging creams and so on, which have nothing to do with injecting hormones. Longevity, I do agree, refers to the lengthening your life span.
I totally agree with you about how important water is for the human body, and the many important functions water does inside the body. I know many people debate over whether tap water is better for you, or filtered water. Besides any harmful toxins that could possibly be in the water, there are many minerals that are filtered out in the process of filtering water, that are very good for you, which is why many people believe that tap water is the better choice. You also have to include bottled spring water that isn't filtered, when discussing which water is the best for you. There's also filtered water with added minerals.
Personally, I like to drink bottled water with added minerals, so any possible toxins are filtered out, but I'm also still getting some minerals that I wouldn't get if I were drinking regular filtered water. I think it's especially important, when working out on a regular basis, and when using the different compounds that we use, to make sure we drink at least one gallon of water every day no matter what the source! Even for the average person, drinking an adequate amount of water every day is very important for optimal health.
What I'm about to say may sound like something I thought of while smoking weed or whatnot, but it's just a thought I had. I was watching something about sharks and whales on TV, and they mentioned that whales never get cancer. So, I was thinking that maybe that's because they always have an adequate intake of water. Ya know, because they live in water! Just a thought I had while watching TV.
I'd think you'd be hard pressed to google HGH or anti-aging and not see links that mention both. So I disagree, although there may be homeopathic anti-aging "treatments". It does not mean there are not "injectable" treatments as well. So, the phrase anti-aging does have something to do with injecting hormones as well as not.
Do you know what the main food source of a whale is and what it's nutritional value is? I think that is a more probable reason (among many) ...so are you going to stop bogarting that joint or what?
JayD718I hear what you're saying Greg, but I was just trying to say that the term anti-aging shouldn't automatically be associated with injecting hormones. But, maybe I didn't express my opinion in the right way. Regarding the joint; YOU DIDN'T PUT IN ON THIS, MAN!! LOL! But if you want, Ima get you high today! Cause it's Friday, and you ain't got shit to do!!!
This thread is making me thirsty.

LMAO drinkos filtered water after your pretzels!
I just wish water tasted better. I still manage to drink a gallon a day. Probably should be more though especially when I am working outside and sweating buckets.
Try adding a little lemon juice this got me drinking much more water.
I use BCAA's most of the time for flavoring. I have a bunch of different kinds of mint growing in the garden now so I will make a big jug of water with mint leaves and usually a lemon thrown in.
I usually try to keep some flavor in mine also. Sliced Cucumbers, strawberries, lemons, limes, or grapefruit (my favorite ). Supposedly helps also with keeping that fat burning through the nights, but I just find it refreshing..
You should move to my neck of the woods. Tap water is a deep 300' well. Tastes better than bottled water. If it wasn't against the rules I'd be selling CENSORED water from REDACTED USA
I have well water myself. I love it. And I notice I don't seem to think like all the city and plastic bottle drinkers around me. Maybe it's an unconnected variable, but I'm not planning to risk it by moving.
Solid advice. +2
I drink a gallon of milk every day Some times more.
I thought that was good enuf but an ER doctor said thats not. I need to drink water as well. I also stay away from soda coffee tea and pre-work outs.
Always a great reminder to stay hydrated. So very essential to optimal performance. To piggy back on this subject I will paste a link to an article describing the dangers of dehydration as it relates to performance.
