Tattoos and bodybuilding

ad

So I've come to the conclusion lately that I'd like another tattoo but since i compete I'm kind of thinking about not getting one. I already have one in the middle of my back. Do judges judge differently on this?

It comes down to where do you see yourself ?

mine now has black and orange on it so its hardly noticeable with the stage color is on, ill probably wont get another since I dont wanna risk it hurting me in the long run on stage

it really does depend on the tattoo and the artist, ive seen guys with their whole body tatted and you couldnt tell from 15-20 feet away, tattoo's that are done with all shading are normally very light and some MT2 would cover it up easily. where as dark lines and colored ink is not gonna help much and would easily be seen by judges!

I don't think it looks good on a bodybuilder. At least on stage, that is. A judge will judge you based on appearance, so think about it that way. Ink hides or can hide muscle and give appearances of asymmetry. Think about it this way... If your whole left side of your body had tribal on it, and your right side didn't. It would be a complete distraction and most would assume that you're not fully symmetrical due to the way we simply see things, even if it's completely untrue!

thats what I figured too. mine now isn't in a bad place nor is it to dark so ill probably just keep it with just one

Good, keep it at one until you're done with contests for sure. After that, go crazy! Haha.
