+ 5 Slow and Steady - FTW!!
Man it's been years since I was last here. Just wanted to share a little of my journey. Like most young people all I wanted was getting big and shredded in as little time as possible. And steroids was the magical formula that would turn me into superman overnight. Truth is, this game is a marathon not a sprint. Everything about it is easy come easy go. If you use high doses or advanced drugs for quick gains, trust me, after PCT you will keep about as much as you would have with a low dose test cycle and good diet. Same story with extreme diets, when you go off it you just go back to normal. It's been my experience that to get anywhere and stay there, lifestyle changes is best. Small consistent sustainable changes is the way to go!
If you're like me and simply want an aesthetic ripped physique year round and not looking to make a career out of this, stick to low dose 12 week test cycles and a good diet on-cycle and off. They're easy to recover from, and you will keep 90% of your progress after PCT. The speed and ease at which you recover your natural hormone levels post cycle is key to keeping your gains, thus using 19-Nor steroids aren't wise if you plan on staying in perfect condition post cycle.
As attractive as tren is, for the non-competing bodybuilder IMHO it's a waste of money. Yes, its gives insane strength and recomposition but it's much harder to recover from post cycle than test. Chances are any lasting gains post cycle will be about the same or less than with a normal low dose test cycle.
Chasing the quick fix has also led me down the DNP route. Speaking as someone who has actually used it, unless you're a damn fool and run it over 600mg per day, it's not going to kill you. However it is still extremely dangerous, even at low doses. I've ran two cycles of it at 200-600mg per day, the first cycle I experienced the usual sides, hot all the time, soaking the bed with sweat at night etc. nothing I couldn't handle. However during the second apart from the usual sides, I started to experience numbness in my hands and feet. This is the side to fear guys, I stopped the DNP immediately yet these neuropathy problems took over a year to clear. If you're thinking about using this stuff, DON'T! It can cause permanent nerve damage!
So for all you folk new to AAS, my advice is to keep it slow and consistent. AAS is a tool only for those already in shape looking to get better. Progress naturally first, learn to stick to a good diet year round and progress in the weight room unaided. Don't bulk and cut too fast if you want to maintain aesthetics year round.

much respect the honesty. i dont know to many ppl that didnt fuck up. , i majorly did. but live and learn be cool my friend.
Most people try to compensate for a poor diet by pumping lots of drugs, but without learning the fundamentals of diet they end up reverting back to right where they started. I call them yo-yo's. You know when they are on cycle cause they puff up and you when they are off because they shrink right back down. Now, take some one like you said and have them run a 12 weeker of test and proper diet and continue on with that diet while off, i.e. lifestyle change, and they will continually keep growing and not look like a yo-yo. You know your cycle was a success when you look just as big off cycle as when you did on cycle. Then the next cycle makes you even bigger and so on. Alot of yo-yo's gain 15 lbs or so on cycle and off they lose most if not all of it so they run another and gain the fifteen back and then loose it and so on and so on. Pretty easy to spot a yo-yo in the gym.
Good post cant hand out karma yet but a thumbs up and karma sent at ya anyway. Im 41 yrs old, new to aas and about to finishup my 1st cycle yest.onl 500mg week and im confident I can keep a good chunk of what ive gained but I will be happy if only a fraction stays. Way back when I started researching this . I saw tren and deca and thought hell yea. Thats what I need but the more I looked into it and spoke with people I realized eh, not what I need but too many people mostly young are lookig for a quick fix and god forbid you tell them they are doing something wrong. They just dont wanna hear it. Anyway good post. Hopefully people will read this and think before doing something foolish. And like Brooklyn says, yea take chances for sure, you will never get anywhere without doing that just be smart about what you do. Thanks man
That diuretic is for cunts... i guess they say you are what you eat.
This is a great post!! +1
Good post +1 hopefully you don't get flagged for bringing up you-know-what
What I will say is this: people are always quick to point out that taking risks can lead to regret later in life. And this is true, but ignores the flip side. That is, not taking risks can lead to even more regret down the road. This is why I try to be as non judgmental as possible.
