+ 1 Second Cycle Recommendations
Alright guys as I’m closing in on the end of my first cycle (4 weeks left) I’m just trying to prepare myself for my second cycle. Currently I’m running 500mg Test E weekly for a 12 week cycle. I’ve got my PCT and everything else already but I just wanna plan ahead and make an order so I’ve got everything.
So I’m seeing a lot of controversy of people saying to just run Test your first few cycles etc. I’m also seeing where people are running Test and adding another compound.
Looking for people who have ran several test cycles and people who have added another compound. You guys who have ran test only cycle’s wish you had done anything different? And you guys who have ran another compound with test for a second cycle, do you wish you had ran just test?
Just looking for some positive feedback, yes I’m new to all this and have been trying to soak in all the information like a sponge. If some of the more experienced guys would like to chime in I’m all ears.

First, you need to establish your cycle goal. Are you trying to bulk? Cut? Recomp? Strength? Mass? Etc... Then you pick the compound or compounds based around the goal.
For most people, riding Test only cycles will do wonders. If you want more, try adding in another compound for your goals. Just make sure you know the proper procedures and safety. This would be like how to control e2, prolactin, pct, organ support, etc...
bgukxllsThis may be a hot take to some but your first cycle, you don't even need 500 mg test. 500 mg test is quite a lot. 250 mg test with deca or 250 mg test with an oral would have made for a better first cycle in my opinion. Even better you could have just done 250 mg test, easily doubled/tripled your baseline and went super hard in the gym. That way your next cycle could have been 500 mg test.
Regardless, I don't think there's any harm or foul in doing a 2nd compound on your 2nd cycle. ---but
The MAJOR thing here is your AGE. If you're a growing body, throwing in strong AAS compounds can mess with your HPTA bigtime. This means hormones being out of wack, messing with your natural growth progression, etc
I see that you're 26 years old. Seriously could have waited a bit longer to get into AAS. Regardless, I'm not judging because I think my first cycle was a bit younger than that.
To give you some insight:
If you want a bit of a leaner/dryer gains with strength, look into Anavar. If you want some bulky gains, strength, look into Dbol/Deca. Anavar and Dbol are orals, Deca(NPP) is an injectable.
Most importantly, make sure you have the DOUGH to do a proper cycle, and a great protocol to PROTECT your body/HPTA from things potentially going wrong. AI/Serms/PCT/HCG gotta know about all these things.
AAS affect more than the 5-6 hormones we know about. Most of the other mechanisms and how AAS affect other hormones in our body, of which there are hundreds of hormones, we have little knowledge in modern science. We also don't fully understand how they affect kidneys and other organs that are vital for our longevity.
Sorry if I sound like an old dad. Just want you newbies to be smart about how you do things. You seem pretty levelheaded though.
I would never advise anyone use a 19nor for a 2nd cycle.
Yes I’m still learning and trying to soak in all the info I can. I’m fortunate to have a mid 6 figure income, and my wife is on board with my decisions. She’s a Nurse Practitioner and keeps me on track with bloods. So running a proper cycle is not an issue for myself, but I also put this post out there for other new guys to hopefully gather information from. I definitely appreciate all your input, I’m definitely gonna hit another test only cycle and then 3rd time around I may throw something else in. Once the time comes I’ll decide, I’m a pretty big guy so not sure where I wanna go with a second compound yet, I do like getting bigger though!
I agree with a lot of this, however I think a first cycle should be Test only. You do not want to add in too many compounds for your first cycle in case issues come up. For beginners, a Test only cycle is perfect as it allows them to learn how they react to it as well as how to control e2. Simple AI and PCT protocols with also be learned.
The basics are boring in the beginning but it works well for learning and better growth in the future.
I'm in the same boat as you. I've got some anavar and cardarine I want to run on this next test cycle(cut) but I'm still planning everything.
Reading through these comments is making me realize I need to dial in more of my health and bio markers and do stuff slowly so I don't have a repeat of what I did 1st cycle. (injury)

Yes I’ve placed an order for my 2nd cycle just to have all of it ready. I’m thinking first 3 cycles will all be the same then I’ll shoot for something new.
Keep doing the same cycle till the return (in gains) decreases, then add 1 additional compound and repeat. It is a marathon not a sprint.

Not_A_LukeYou could go a few routes. My second cycle was test/deca. Deca bloat is awesome - your joints feel like they've had a shot of WD40

I’m in your boat right now deciding what I’m going to run second cycle. I’m thinking 600 MG Test weekly 12 weeks | 40 MG Anavar Daily for 5 weeks. I have also been toying with the idea of replacing the var with DBol as it’s cheaper and I wouldn’t mind looking huge for 5 weeks. Just the aromatization that urks me with DBol and test together. So if I went this way I’d probably reduce the test to 300 MG well the DBol was in there for the first 5 weeks then drop the DBol and up the test over the following few weeks.
No rusty I think I misunderstood.. I thought he was dead set on using a 2nd compound regardless. My 2nd compound was eq but I ran many test only cycles 1st to find my sweet spot dial in ai understand blood work ext. Sorry I dont know how to reply just to your comment lol

I definitely agree I misunderstood I ran a few test only cycles at the beginning only thing I switched were esters to find my go to and get understandings of what serm or ai suited me best thanks bro
If you tolerated test well then add a oral or 2nd compound. Do something easy that won't aromitize or give you sides (tbol for oral kickstart) eq for 2nd compound.. Just options do some research --

Sorry brother I wasn't trying to give bad advice I thought he was dead set on using a 2nd compound regardless ( that's usually how most are unfortunately) I agree I ran alot of test only before using a 2nd compound. I stayed low dose tried different esters until I found my sweet spot and the ester my body tolerates best.. thank you for clearing that up --
Second cycle will still be a straight 500mg test weekly for a 12 week cycle. I guess I’m more or less preparing myself for when I do add a compound. I know everyone’s end goals on a cycle are much different, and require different compounds. Just putting some feelers out there to add to my knowledge, and get some different perspectives. Thank you for the feedback!
Like Rusty said just replicate your 1st cycle and improve everything outside of gear that can be improved. My 2nd cycle was the same as my 1st cycle 300mg of test and I made similar gains if not better since I overate a bit on my first cycle.
Awesome, thanks for that man. I’ll definitely be sticking to the same thing my 2nd cycle. Wife is in the medical field for the diet, blood work etc is a little easier for me.
RustyhookerMy first 3 cycles was test only with 300mg a week being 3rd time as my biggest. Gained each cycle too. Blood work, diet, gym mods all change the end result.
Awesome, I’m 100% gonna run Test at least my next cycle and then may add another compound. Bloods are looking amazing right now, diet is on point and my workout is very good in my eyes. I was just really hoping this thread could help some of the newer guy such as myself get some good updated feedback. Most threads are years old. Always look forward to getting feedback from you.
