+ 1 Our Lifestyle

ad

I have been training since I was 19, over 20 years now. I got into AAS about 15 years ago. Since then I have done many cycles but also went long stretches (years) with out touching the stuff. But no matter if I am on a cycle or haven't been on one for years, I will eventually get asked the same question... At a party, or a job sight, even a new gym some jerk off will eventually ask the question "Are you on steroids?" Let's be honest for most of us the answer is yes. But even at that, the balls of some jerk off even asking something like that. These people use to piss me off but then I finally got it. They think this because they can't comprehend the discipline, dedication, and sacrifice it takes to transform our bodies into works of art. These people don't get it because (A) They never had the balls to even attempt to change their bodies or just try to get healthy. (B) They have tried several times and have failed miserably (C) Are just plain jealous. When some one would ask me this question in the past I would tell them off or give them an attitude with some insulting remark. Now I just say NO THIS IS 20 YEARS OF HARD WORK! Unless you live our lifestyle outsiders will just never understand.

There are (2) different types of people who ask that question. 1. a person who just wants to make themselves feel better to know you have a "secret" that they think is the reason you look that way. and 2. the guy who is looking for some himself because he has failed to pay attention to anything a veteran had to say about diet, discipline, training, form and consistency. There is no over night or magic steroid it's not supposed to be easy if it were than everyone would be well built and toned.

I remember before I even touched a supp I got accused of being on roids and I wasn't even that big at the time LOL.. I just assume it's jealousy when those same ppl started like me but never gained much and complaining im juicing was a way to save their ego...

I take it as a compliment. If your using and not being accused of being 'on'. I'd question your training or diet. I get asked 2-3 times per week and I'm really not that big (in my mind).

First I saw a shirt online that read "No I'm not on steroids, thanks for asking". Second your right they can't even wrap there mind around it. From those that know I have started down this road, the thing I get the most is "why?". To which I reply "Finish that damn cheeseburger. I can't understand you."
