If I'm not sore the next day I feel like I've wasted a workout and my time. You only need to work each muscle group 1-2 times a week anyway. That should be plenty of time to recover. If you are working each musck e group once a week and you are sore for two, that gives you 4-5 days to recover and grow.
if your back is sore you have bad form probably from going too heavy on the weights for biceps - if your jerking to get the weight up thats a clue - you should be lifting with eldows steady at your side and only your arms from the elbow down .
Clearly you're new at lifting weights. I've been sore up to four days after a workout.
russel12Haha good one bro but I been lifting since I was a kid! I got really sick lost near 40 pounds 3 years ago now getting back on track! But these 3 years I am lifting dead serious and every single workout in 3 years got me sore! !
I love getting sore. It tells me I hit it hard enough to do some damage.
Nothing worse than getting sick and losing all the hard work/gains. I lost practically ALL my gains 22 years ago when I had a motorcycle accident resulting in a compound fracture of my left tibia and fibula, then the site of the break became infected and I was on IV antibiotics for six weeks. Boom! Had to start all over. Two years of hitting it hard and gaining 40 lbs, and within a couple months I lost 30. Just a bump in the road of life. Drive on brother!
Over the years. I have found that, for me. Stretching between sets whatever muscle I'm working that day. And holding that stretch for ten seconds of so has really helped. AND making sure u r taking n all the right nutrients everyday to recover from workouts. If my diet starts slacking I can definitely tell n my recovery time.
Anytime you get into a routine and stick with it for a while your body gets used to that. So switching routines is a big change on your body, it means it is trying to recover. Don't worry its not a bad thing. It's always good to change things up
Soreness for upto 3 days is normal especially if you have changed a routine.....
RustyhookerHows your multivitamin intake? Soreness from lactic? Body aches/test flu?
Fill us in....
russel12No multivitamin bro. !! I should go get some and no test flu nothing!!

russel12U kidding mate lol? I was wondering if its a bad thing I know how testosterone / steriod works
