+ 1 Migraines

ad

So I just finished a 6 day migraine last night by taking a sumatriptan injection. Needless to say the past 6 days left me feeling worse than shit.

So my question to you guys is how many of you also experience migraines? Have you figured out what trigger yours? And howmdo you guys gonabout dealing with them?

I get chronic headaches from arthritis in my neck and disc herniation real bad. I tried everything from acupuncture to cortisone injections and different meds. The only thing that has helped me is fioricet which is a barbituate but is non addictive that works real well. Check it out.

I have gotten them after a flash of light too. I also wear my sunglasses everywhere. But usually the light is just the final trigger, it is rare that I get one unless I am really stressing about something. It's like your brain revolts on you.

One trick I have found is at the very first sign of one (tingling/numb fingertips, a weird spot in vision, or just a really weird feeling) I will slam a redbull. If you can get the caffeine in you quick enough it seems to either get rid of or very much shorten the duration and severity of my migraines. But if you missed the window of opportunity you will just be wired up and unable to sleep (after puking your guts up) so that can suck.

I will have to give your way a shot Tread, knock on wood mine have been very infrequent lately.

I take aspirin daily and the past several times I've taken a good dose of ibuprofin (600-800mg) it actually gives me a damn headache. Not sure what's up with that...

I do believe in wearing my sunglasses and it does help me

I was wounded in the 90s and ever since than I get migraines at times that make any pain I have felt feel like nothing. I have to go to the VA and get Meperidine HCl injections. I hate that shit because it makes me foggy and not clear headed.

I don't not what initiate them and they are not that frequent but damn they can knock you on your ass!

Man that sucks. I know what you mean about not liking the meds. The last time I went to the ER they gave me Demerol and phenergan in my IV and I just kept puking. I literally thought I was about to die! They finally gave me some dilaudid before I stopped hurling

Yes me too brother! Same exact effects its like out of the frying pan and into the fire.

When they tried prescribing me them pills that melt under your tongue at the first sign of one always had me feeling really sketchy the next day or two. It's bad enough the day or two after getting a bad one being paranoid that another one is coming on ,lol

Yeah I use to live on those damn Maxalts. I think the taste made my head hurt worse, lol. Now they have generic Maxalt and its just a regular pill so it doesn't taste like shit

You know that could be it, 3 times I got them a couple days after a HALO jump from 36000ft. So I don't know if the drop plus the pressure has something to do with it but that is the only pattern I have recorded with any consistency. But yeah I can't even open my eyes they feel like they are going to explode right out of my skull lol!

If I get really stressed out about something it is almost a guarantee. I have not had one since starting on TestE back in March. Also my allergies and asthma disappeared as well. I still sneeze a little now but not anywhere near what I did before AAS. I really feel for you guys that get migraines for multiple days. I am fortunate mine are always less than 12 hours.. Knock on wood

Allergies and bp have been the major triggers for me. I just started back taking allergy shots a couple weeks ago and I also started Micadis for bp. Since I've started I haven't had a migraine but its a little too early to tell. In the past I would get migraines weekly and suffer from minor headaches daily

Here's an interesting article on the allergy/migraine connection..

Yeah I've had to go to the ER several times from them. Ill just lay on the bathroom floor and puke for hours on end and get so fucking dehydrated that I have to go because I can't stop puking and I can't hold down water or Gatorade. There's been a couple of times that I've thought of suicide or asked my wife to shoot me but she hasn't done it yet, lol. The car ride to the ER is the worst and i have to make her pull over multiple times so i can hurl. Luckily, I haven't had one that bad in over a year

I take it you get the "aura" too. It is like your eyes have gone batty, the center of my vision is a blur which leads to puking and pain. Lucky I have only had one rise to that level in the last couple years.

Truthfully I didn't even know they were migraines until I was in my late 20's. I started getting them when I was 13 or so, I always thought it was something I ate. To this day I cannot stomach a bagel lol

I don't get it every time but I usually get a dull headache first and ill notice my saliva/mucous has a different consistency. Then I get extremely sensitive to sound, light, and scents

Yelp. They are for me too. Good luck homie
