So heard plenty about hoarding gear and have started to get quite an overstock my self. Got me wondering how long does a bottle of oil last if kept at a stable room temp ?
What about orals like AI's and such ?
I once took 1 year old doxycycline and had a very bad reaction to it.

cdaddy7I store all my gear in a lock box in my small closet where no light penetrates so they will achieve longevity...remember expiration dates are just the way FDA and pharma companies make money....otherwise we would wipe out these 3rd world populations that we send our expired abx to along with other drugs
AnonAs you and other suggested "dark" , so I have moved mine. It wasnt in the dark, but I didnt exactly have it sitting up on my widow sill either lol.
As far as the expiration thing goes I was right there with you on that, and have taken plenty of expired products, but them my reaction to the expired Doxy was quite unpleasant so my thoughts have varied a bit now.

Anonthere are studies that show when stored properly, gear can have the same effect 15 years later. If memory serves, this was proved on a solider/test subject. If this is in fact valid, it would show that time does not denature the hormone if preserved.

Well made UGL's can hold for 2-3 years in the right enviornment (cool dark place).
If doxycycline gets hot...the drug turns bad. Not sayin you did it....in general meds are in cupboard next to stove. Very hazardous. Roids last wuite some time. Few years if kept in cool dark place. Sock drawer etc
AnonKept the doxy in a bottle wrapped in foil in the refrigerator.
Good to know about the oils though, Ive got them in a translucent box now, perhaps I should change that.

Sun and heat, oxygen slowly can break down the effectiveness. Like skunky beer is called "lightstruck" so they went to dark bottles.
AnonMy Dr at first thought I had become allergic to the stuff I have taken so much over the years, but as soon as I told him it was old he asked me to try a fresh batch and it was no trouble.
It is also possible that it was more than just one year old, but he warned me one year is really the max for certain drugs.
Not too sure but you should get two yrs on oils, and longer on orals I would think. After the exp date they jus lose potency it's not like they turn to bacteria lol
