Left hand always numb?

ad

Like the title says, my left hand is always numb. It won't do it if I keep my arm straight, but if I bend my arm for any length of time my hand starts to go numb. It's really annoying because I wake up in the middle of the night with a numb hand. I'm pretty sure I injured it doing skull crushers towards the end of my last cycle which was about 4 months ago. It hasn't got any better since then and I'm afraid to start a new cycle before it gets better... I'm hoping you guys have some words of wisdom to help me out?

This sounds like you may have Ulnar neuropathy. The Ulnar nerve is commonly entrapped at the elbow from repetitive movement such as skull crushers. The treatment for this varies from rest, to Pt, cortisone shots and as a last resort Ulnar nerve release. To definitively diagnose this I suggest you see your PCP and get a test called an EMG. An EMG is a nerve conduction test that can identify the nerves causing the symptoms. For now I would avoid any repetitive movements of the elbow, apply ice and take antiinflamatories.

I should mention I have pain in that elbow when doing certain exercises

Yes it is mainly with heavy tricep stuff. I'll give that a try. Thanks
