Quick question for those that compete or have some idea about bodybuilding judging. So here is the scenario. I was in a show and got 4th in the Open light heavyweight and 1st in the Masters over 40. Here's where it is weird to me. The guy who took second in the open lightheavy class also took second to me in the masters over 40. Plesse explain how I lose to someone and literally 5 minutes later beat them????? Or you could say he beat me then he should have beat me 5 minutes later.. I'm not complaining I'll take the 1st place, but he and I were both like WTF! So what's your thoughts?

Some times it's politics but also posing could have something to do with it. It's all about your presence on stage! Posing isn't everything but it has a good bit to do with it. Hope that helps.
Judging is always subjective.
Remember the mess that figure skating was.
Lots can happen in minutes in competition.body changes by the minute in a depleted state.
That's the only thing I can think of.
