Its a marathon not a sprint
This has been my mantra of late and its very true.
I like seeing my results in the mirror and enjoying the ride. I like this phrase cause for each of us its not just about the destination. Everyone is in a hurry to get to a point but all of us know that once you reach one point you set up another point.
So I for one am enjoying the ride. I love seeing the changes and improvements. and yeah I want to get to my goals as quickly as possible. It's a marathon not a walk. Patience goes along way in this game. Mass does come but everyone even phil and kai had to work hard and patiently for many years to really get as big as they are now. Take a look at the top pros out there and research the amount of time it took them to get there even with good genetics and gear.
When you get into to much of the I want it all and I want it now mentality is when I think alot of people get into trouble. Especially with gear. I was stupid in youth trying to do just that. I restarted my AAS journey from scratch. doing things right. You know what by pacing myself and not sprinting I have made better gains and achievements then when I was in a hurry.
My constant goal is always to get as big as I am when I am pumped at the gym. as I get bigger so do the pumps so im always chasing that goal. lol
I have yearly goals and cycle goals as well. I treat them all like mile markers or landmarks along the marathon route for motivation.
Whats the hurry anyways even when we get to a certain size we think we want now it changes and we always want to get bigger or more cut or fix symmetry...etc. so be dedicated and motivated but dont be in such a hurry you risk setting yourself back in the progress with injuries or worse yet ruin your body or health trying to do too much gear to fast or too soon to help in the sprint.
Make goals, push yourself, dont underestimate the power of hard wokr and dedication. But also enjoy the moment and small milestones in your marathon. Don't be in too big of a rush to get to the finish line. Trust me in this lifestyle there is no finish line. Cause this race is against yourself and noone else.

Took me until my current (3rd) cycle to realize this.
hell of a post bro! I struggle with this daily lol!!! But its sinking in little by little....
Thanks man. I think we all struggle with it. its in our nature and the drive is what keeps us here. Thats why I use this as my mantra/motto lately.
Yup, i litteraly have to tell my self SLOW DOWN lol...Im about to start my second cycle and was thinking deca, Eq, npp lol and finally came back to reality and decided to be smart and go back to 12wk Test E cycle lol...i just wanna blow up so fast...oh and be ripped the f*ck up at the same time lol!!!!
Wooo hoo! Ain't it the truth! How many guys ya see blast on that 25lbs superfast then lose it? Body can't adjust that quickly. Or drop 20lbs fat in a month only to rebound? Body freakout in starvation mode. Slow n go ;)
yep you cants start sprinting 1 mile into a 25 mile marathon and expect to stay in it.
