Hey, i was about to do a ipl laser hair removal and The woman asked If I was taking any steroids.
Obviously i said yes, since i care about my health and she adviced me not to go through with the treatment and i asked her for the reason and she claims that she has had customers on AAS complaining about burn marks After the treatment, permanent burn marks.
I am wondering If there is any logical sense to this or If the patients just has sensitive skin so to say.

angusI actually bought one of those professional laser hair removal machines. I don't know if I'm allowed to post the website so I'll refrain but it was from china and it was north of 3k once it was all said and done. I had spent close to that having someone else do it and I wish I would have just bought the machine because it was way more effective.
Having said that I will admit to burning myself with the machine but it was from the light reacting to very tan skin. I had blisters all up my arm but that was the only time I noticed any burn marks. Granted I am only one person but I can speak about my personal experience. I cannot speculate why the tech would tell you what she told you but I can tell you that people are afraid of what they don't understand usually and those technicians are trained to err on the side of caution.
Shoot me a PM if you want the web address. I know of one other person on here that has bought one. I have no affiliation with them nor have I ever, other than buying that one machine.
Probably due to a reasonable percentage of those on gear having at least a small degree of folliculitis.
Everyone or can i rule it out If I am not currently suffering from any symptoms ?
Hair follicles would need to be looked at very closely under magnification by an expert, symptoms or not to limit risk.
