+ 1 Im a walking Project - Noob needs serious help!

ad

I am a MESS, and a total N00b, so bear with me, and speak in Digestible bites, please ;)

I need to raise my Test levels (should that be done before I do anything else - like with some kind of PCT to stabilize me before I do anything that might drop my levels even further?) pretty badly, I have Herniated Discs in my spine, and I REALLY REALLY need to Shred. I just need to drop bodyfat as quickly as is humanly possible. I have tried EVERY Diet known to man, the best i can do is Intermittent Fasting combined with SUPER Strict Paleo (NO carb Paleo) and even then its got to be done while maintaining Ligament and Tendon strength because I JUST suffered a knee injury I am Rehabbing.

I dont really care about Muscular Size Improvements or Muscular strength gains. Strength gain would be NICE , but I need to be Smaller, not bigger , and if I cant get stronger without getting bigger I frankly couldnt be bothered. In fact I would pretty much sacrifice everything except for my tendon and ligament health to shred all the BF off me in one go. (Magik wand style, you know)

I have 4 seprate Issues

1) Knee injury caused by Judo.
Happened a month ago and is healing rather well, but would like to get back to 100% or better if at all possible. Hyperextended the knee by a 320 lb Black Belt sitting on it.

2) 3 Herniated discs in my spine
(Between C's 3-4-5-6) weakness in left arm, muscular atrophy. couldnt move it at all for a while but it can move all directions now, just weak as shit. This is what has lead me to Steroid use as an alternative. this has been going on for 5 years now and my body has gone to shit - Ill try to post pics but its not pretty. At all.

3) LOW testosterone levels. Like 300s low.
Doctors basically told me they wont do shit until they are below 200.
I used to live with three women and fuck like a racehorse until they gave me meds to "fix" my Autism... now Im lucky if I pop off once every 2 weeks , and I went from looking like the hulk to looking like the Blob. I am tired ALL the time and I dont know what to do about it, And Im done with the "well you're still breathing and not bleeding, so nothing is wrong with you" mentality/treatment.

4) IM BIG AS SHIT.
Always have been. Like 400 lbs range whether in shape or not. I would like to shed all of my BF as fast as humanly possible. Im 6'6" tall and have a 46" waist and 40" thighs. I also wear size 6X gloves. Ive done Martial Arts all my life, and I can drop into the Splits right now, kick above my head, all of that. Never had an Issue moving, but would like my cardio to be better if at all possible.

(Oh, and Im kind of Broke right now so the cheapest soloution would be best - I spent my savings going to an Unexpected funeral right after going to my yearly certification. - either that or I will just have to wait & save up, either or)

NOTE
I work my ASS off EVERY DAMNED DAY in a losing battle to Fight my Genetics, so PLEASE dont tell me to "work out" or "run" or anything about Diet. I have a VERY strict Regimen - 5X more strict than some of the Pro Fighters that i work with - which nets my ass not even 1/10 of the results. If you arent going to be helpful p[lease save your comments and jokes for someone else.

Thank you in advance to those that are Helpful.
~J

Mon - reserved for Private Lessons, Usually my only day off. Shop, pay Bills, whatever.

Tues -
classes (11a-2p and 6-9p)
Throw 1000 Strikes on heavybag (full force work it in between classes or after)

Throw 1000 Strikes on heavybag

Open for Padwork until I have to work, it varies, usu 2-5 hours.

Reads to me like you dont want to advice from no-one, PRO or not it seems you believe what you are doing is right and no way on earth are you going to change your ways.

Viking asked you for some self-shots, why are they not up yet is there a problem or something ?????????? if you dont want to talk to the guys talk to me instead, maybe i can teach you about proper nutrition, believe me i have been to places and levels in this lifestyle you could only dream about and i can truthfully tell you ignorance is NOT bliss.

TheFlash85's picture

its your diet, trust me I just watched my brother go from 112kgs down to 80kgs in 3 months, no juice, all natural, he cut out nearly all sugar, dairy and ate everything green and organic, no red meat or anything processed, so things like zuchinni, broccoli, brussell sprouts etc and a small portion of chicken breast, he looks like a new man, all in 3 months.

Dickkhead's picture

Hi bro,

I am very late to this thread and am having a hard time understanding the heat of the debate. Is it that you want to use steroids as an alternative to a traditional diet to cut body fat?

Wrong chemicals.

Growth hormone (HGH) will take the fat off anyone - even someone your size. Trying a juice cocktail to do what I think you want to do is going to be a mess.

GH is expensive, unfortunately - but if you're looking for chemical help - IMHO - that's what you should be researching.

Best,

GearHead

Djimbe's picture

There isnt really much of a debate - there are 1-2 assholes that make no sense and want to talk shit, and everyone else seems to be pretty cool.

the Issue seems to be, in a nutshell, that when I do what everyone else does to cut bodyfat that my body cuts muscle and leaves the fat there. Thats the most consise way to explain it... and in fact the bodyfat part was extra, the fucking vanity issue.

Then there are THREE OTHER problems listed up there that everyone seems to ignore that if were actually healthier/fixed would all contribute to my general health.

so really the Isssues are:

1) anything I can do about my disc herniations?

2) anything I can do about strengthening/repairing the MCL in my knee?

3) Low Test. I dont know if I should be just trying PCT-type solutions or if something other is needed.

The reason that I listed them all together is so that there werent any interactions and a cohesive plan could be made. Should have made four seperate topics, i suppose.

edit: fuck it, I tried to reply, but I increasingly feel like this is a very dedicated trolling attempt.

If you really work out with pro fighters / coaches everyday and they can't help you, how in the fuck do you think strangers on the internet will do better?

Seriously man, if you are eating 16oz of meat and 16oz of veggies a day and still maintaining 400lbs, you are a medical mystery and should be studied to understand how we can end world hunger.

And if you are trolling, touche and GDIAF.

ThePortugee's picture

Definitely the vibe I get from this. I don't like to call people out, and I usually give the benefit of the doubt, but this story is just getting rediculous...

I know you think I'm being an ass, and that Ed is an ass... But does that include Viking as well?

Dude, when a professional bodybuilder of vikings caliber offers to give you the time of day I'd humble myself before the king and do as he asks. You couldn't pay for an opportunity he's giving you.

Hey now. Wtf?

True. I am an ass.

lol.. I don't even know how you could begin to say otherwise... you are a very loveable ass indeed..

Dickkhead's picture

Bro,

Believe it or not, everyone here wants to help. Sometimes folks have styles that can seem abrasive. I think we have some medical doctors that are part of the community and if they see this thread they would be the ones to offer you advice on 1 and 2. As far as 3 is concerned a regular doctor can administer test replacement or augmentation, you don't need to go to a specialist for that these days. And if your test is low, it is certainly not helping you with the weight, so why just not take the issue up with your doc? I would handle this as a medical issue first before using the resources on eroids to self administer Test.

...everyone here wants to help.

Nice response bro. +1

guitarplayer1's picture

I don't want to come off as an asshole but if i was in your shoes I would start with

1, Surgery then PT
2. Surgery then PT
3. Find a new doctor or clinic that will prescribe some test.

In the meantime your diet is what is really holding you back my man. From what you tell you seem to be fairly active but it's a basic calories in, calories out method.

The knee doensnt need surgery, appearantly. It is just strained, not torn (i guess) but if I stand the wrong way it still twinges like a mofo. its not every step i take, mind you hell its not even 1/100 steps, but you can still tell that everything is not healed yet down there.

The spine is another story. Basically the sugery that i really neerd is not yet in Vogue even though its less invasive and has a higher chance of success than fusion, but more doctors are used to doing fusion so they still want to put a hardware store in my spine. Im told by those in the know to wait until the attitudes change wich should be in about 5 years.

Test: I live in pennsyltucky. Its so backwards here. And Im not just talking about medical stuff, its everything. They still have Blue Laws. :/

Denser's picture

...calories in, calories out method.

Absolutely true. It's a simple formula, but caloric needs are not so easily determined due to the all of the metabolic and lifestyle variables. +1

kodiakGRRL's picture

I m not going to touch the disks or the knee..

low test.. until you get bf down I suggest a trt type of approach ie 100mg/week.. you want to be careful because of increased hemoglobin and making your heart work harder than it needs to while you are still trying to strip fat ...

diet, strip out all the sugars .. carbs that can be turned into sugars.. ie rice, pasta, breads... use high fiber carbs, anything with colors, stay away from potatoes, unless it is a redskin or sweet potato.. look up some ketogenic diets and stick with leaner proteins sources

Denser's picture

Good stuff GRRRL. The carbs can be killers, especially for endomorphs. And many people don't realize that potatoes, pastas, breads and most fruits vegetables will spike insulin and store body fat. +1

Engineereddisaster's picture

Bro, after looking at your list, no fricken wonder you are 400+ pounds. Bro just because the sausage come from an Amish kitchen still doesn't change the fact that it's leftover lips and assholes. Pork ribs? Holy shit. Butter from a grass fed cow? Lol. That shit is all fine and dandy but I'd really be interested in your daily caloric intake. I think the chicken hearts and liver are fine, but I'd bet your ass is frying that shit in vegetable oil. Correction, vegetable oil from organic Amish corn. Bro, give us your daily caloric intake.
What is your caloric base line? How many calories can you consume without gaining or losing weight?
Bacon? Lol. Oh wait.. It hasn't been cured so yeah that's totally healthy. Bro, you need about a teaspoon of healthy fat a day. Let your body supply the rest. Just because it's healthy fat doesn't mean that you can consume a garbage can full of it.
Come in bro, give us your daily caloric intake. I'd be willing to bet that this is what is kicking your Ass.

Djimbe's picture

Food: Im eating 12-16 oz of meat with 16 ounces of veg every day. I dont have the time or patience to get much more fancy than that. I usually do like a lb of chicken hearts (or bacon, or Livers or kidneys...) , with a lb of collards (or broccoli or kale, or Spinach or cauliflower...), wok them shits up with dried spices ginger onions and garlic and thats what I get to nom on all day or Ill do 4 pieces of chicken (2 legs 2 thighs) or 4 pork Chops, or the basic weight equivelant - again with the sauteed greens. Once a week Ill do beef ribs or my chili, mostly for variety, and usually on mondays because I have time to dick about.

Its pretty much always a lb of veg, because 99% of days I use one lb bags frozen. if Im more hungry I might do a protein shake, but I havent even reached into the tub that i have in like 2.5-3 months, thats how rare it is.

Excercise:
I can just tell you what I do, I have no little convenient device or calculator to tell how many calories holding Pads burns off you. But I promise that after you have done it for 30-50 rounds that your arms want to fall off. I know that after an hour of drumming I have to drink at least a half gallon of water to continue because I sweat that much out.

Greg's picture

So you're just eating the one meal a day?

1 pound of chicken hearts and collards is about 1000 calories... what else do you eat and drink in a typical day?

guitarplayer1's picture

Ditch all this crap and never look back my friend. It's all Caca!!! If you want to get serious then get serious!

Chorizo Sausage (Ahmish farm)

Djimbe's picture

Umm why?

Chorizo Sausage (Ahmish farm)
Kilbasa (Ahmish farm)

I dont NEED these in my diet, you are correct, but I eat them once every couple of weeks , and they come from an Organic grassfed farm. What about them specifically makes them "bad"? the spices?

Beef Bacon (ends)

Both bacons are uncured, and that means no Processing, so what is the Issue here?

http://authoritynutrition.com/is-bacon-bad-or-good/

Pork bacon (ends)

http://www.marksdailyapple.com/a-quick-guide-to-bacon/#axzz2lbVBNQfi
http://primaltoad.com/bacon-is-healthy/

A good source of healthy Saturated fats, Omega-3s, Choline, and Long-Chain Triglicerides. Again, I know the farm that these come from and the conditions couldnt be better, and the Protein to fat balance in bacon is actually 4 to 1, which is one of the highest protein to fat balances found in any meat, fish or fowl found on Earth.

Chicken Hearts

chicken heart are a good source of protein, CoQ10 (check out this article CoEnzyme Q10 for Healthy Hearts), riboflavin, folate, vitamin B12, pantothenic acid, zinc, selenium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, copper and manganese.

Chicken Livers

http://health.wikinut.com/10-Health-Benefits-of-Chicken-Liver/3b-2o7wl/

as for both of the above:
http://www.marksdailyapple.com/organ-meats/#axzz2lbVBNQfi

Soy Sauce

1-2 tablespoons in stir fry or marinade is unnacceptable? Why?

Palm Oil (Red African)

Red palm oil has the highest level of Alpha Kerotine on earth. Period. and its the only Bioavailable form to humans. I dont see the problem here, either.

guitarplayer1's picture

it's not that they are "bad" BUT if your looking to lose weight you may want to eat foods that give you more volume and less calories. Take chicken breast for example. You could eat 8oz of chix breast which would be 280kcals, a cup of brown rice which is 150kcals and double veg of your choice which is 100kcals give or take..

520kcals total and you have a full plate of food that will fill you. If you want all those vitamins that you are stating then take them as a supplement(they have no kcals).

How much bacon could you eat to reach 520kcals? I'm sure not enough to fill you. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a little to get the weight off. Find foods that you can get the most volume to keep you satisfied.

Some of the stuff you have on that list I would not eat while trying to gain lean muscle mass much less try to lose weight. That is my preference though, others (such as hardgainers) might want to add those foods to there diet.

On another note all those foods are high in sodium and I think you know where we are going there.

Why don't we try and replace those items with some lower calorie/high volume/lower sodium foods and get that weight down.

Djimbe's picture

Let me start with reiterating something:
I DONT CARE ABOUT BODYWEIGHT.
I know that to little people you think that it matters, I can tell that it seems like some huge number to you guys that think getting to 225 or 250 is some big deal. Its not. but trust me when I say that if I get as ripped as HELL Im not getting much below 375. MAYBEY 360 at lightest. I was 422 with 12% bf before I hurt myself.

Im not hearing anything about body recomposition, just strict caloric deficit wich will make me a smaller version of the same bf% dont want that. dont care about that. I was my leanest At 411 and my FATTEST at 320. And I have gotten within a warning shot of 500 before. i come from ppl my size - my cousin is 581 now, and we call him "House" because he can pick UP your house. I know 1 thing, that FOR ME scale weight =/= BF%... not trying to speak for anyone else, but honestly thats part of my frustration.

8oz of uncured bacon = 322 kcal, replace the rice with Kale and you end up with more Fibre and a more filling meal with slightly less calories. And i often DO have Chicken. I just cant eat chicken EVERY MEAL. I eat Bacon 1-3 times a week. I already told you that i eat the sausage 1x/TWO weeks The organ meats are more nutritionally dense than chicken breasts. And thighs and legs have more blood than breasts and are more nutritionally dense.

Its like this: IF my diet were TRULY the core issue, I would have covered it by now. Now I know that this is anti-american culture but I souldnt have to eat like an Auschwitz Victim to get results. Im not eating Cake and Ice Cream like its a Birthday Party every day. if Im fat on the above diet then there is something hormonally wrong with me. I know that we are not used to thinking like that but the difference between a guy like my friend that CAN eat cake all day and I is what? Our hormonal balance. Alter that and you change the game. And yeah, I know it wont happen in a week, but there has to be something other than what Im doing already because its a LOT. Nitpicking a diet thats probably better than 90% of peoples here - who are probably all leaner than me - isnt the solution. and its a REAL diet which has to include an amount of variety that i can MAINTAIN - not one that sends me binging off to the sweets shoppe every other day while I CLAIM this is how I eat.

Sodium: I dont have any probs with BP or anything related. Im nowhere near being type II diabetic or anything, my cholesterol numbers, everything is good.

I understand that these things are USUALLY the issue. But if my issue were usual I frankly could have Googled it. Its hard to make others understand when you have mild acromalgia that this is just the size you are. I think that the Testosterone issue (low T/trt) is more on point, and after listening to the guy on the link that was given me it sounds EXACTLY like my experience. I also have some serious injuries catching up with me, and really need to get my shoulder healthy again so I can train harder once more.

GETBIG1988's picture

No way in hell you were 422 at 12% body fat come on these guys are not stupid don't try to BS them

Ronnie coleman is that you?

say it for me one time......LIGHTWEIGHT

HllwdBdBoy's picture

Look bro, just because you don't like what you're hearing doesn't make it true. Sounds like you want the "eat whatever the fuck i want diet and lose weight" diet. It also sounds as if you are looking for AAS as a magic pill. Injuries have nothing to do with what you put into your body so IMO just by getting your diet right you will start dropping weight without a single rep.

Results are made in the kitchen bro

Greg's picture

To recomp your body, you still need exercise and diet. You've been asked to provide your baseline, and give an example of your daily diet. you have yet to do so.

AAS has side effects such as increasing your BP so when someone suggests a lower sodium diet they are suggesting an on cycle diet. the ratio carb, fats, and protein needs will also change.

You still seem a little defensive. No one is attacking you. You obviously know a bit about nutrition. But how can someone help you if they don't know anything about you? if I assume your caloric needs are 3000 per day but you need 5000 how does that help you reach your goal?

You are 6'6" tall
you weight is?
your age is?
your BF% is?

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Alright lets get down to business here ...... speaking for myself here but i know it will help the other guys to get the full picture of what we are trying to deal with here without giving you bad or dangerous advice..... you look like you have got the site functions down pat so hitting a few self shots up showing different angles of your body would be a great help.

I train people every day and i could NOT even attempt at giving you any advice without viewing your body from multiple angles.

Also...... as you just stated above ^^^^^^^^^^ you say you can drop 25lbs and be RIPPED....... quit dreaming my man..... let me have a look at you and i will tell exactly whats up!........... Alright bring those pictures or this thread is just going round in circles and will be locked down due to being non-informative.

Bro, with your size and skills, you could make some decent coin as a personal bodyguard. You mentioned money being tight so I thought of this as a possible solution. Maybe if you're already committed to a full time job, then part time may be possible. Good luck bro.

Djimbe's picture

How would one get into something like that? And would having a Felony Conviction hurt it? I kind of beat up a cop when I was 18, and Ive had Issues with getting emloyment ever since. If you have any Inroads to something like that please let me know. I bounce at Clubs currently under the table, but where I live you dont make much - like $40-60/night. (its not a big city)

Denser's picture

I don't know how to get into this industry. I was just thinking about your size and judo/martial arts skills being what I would look for in a personal bodyguard. Ask around. Ask your fellow bouncers is they know how to get into it or anyone else who does it. Do a google search. Good luck bro.

potty's picture

Djimbe, please post your diet and workout routine.

I agree it isn't as simple as calories in / calories out, but if you just shoot test without figuring out why your diet isn't working, you'll likely spike your estro, making your adipose tissue more insulin sensitive and you'll just get fatter.

People here want to help, but you aren't giving them to tools to help you.

So please tell us what you eat and how much you workout.

Djimbe's picture

As you asked so politely, how could i resist? (I was actually getting there I just wanted to reply to all the other stuff in the thread first. But seriously thank you for posting/asking respectfully.)

Ill put it in the OP, so look above, Please.

So that style of fasting has never worked for me, quite the opposite I end up either maintaining or slightly gaining. And it's kinda miserable for me.

I follow slow carb (look up Tim Ferris and the 4 hour body), but the key is to constantly provide food to your body, so it never goes into a starvation mode. So most importantly eating within 30 min of waking up and keeping your blood sugar low. I would seriously recommend the book though, you'll probably learn something new and he's a really interesting writer.

But I've also been doing this with a total test of 280 / 300 and it's been successful. (I had my testosterone checked four years ago and it was 440 and has been declining but all this time my Dr. also told me it was normal. Only recently did I realize that 400 is the level of a 70 year old man. :/ )

So in addition to your testosterone levels, what do your estradiol and LH / FH levels look like?

And more importantly, have you had a thyroid blood panel? Low test levels won't cause you to gain weight, low thyroid and high estradiol levels will.

sigh, apparently I couldnt convince my doc to add them? I have a TSH level of 1.25 mlU/L and a T4, Free level of 1,0 ng/dL unless its written on here some other way I cant tell you - but I am by no means an expert at readingthese things so perhaps Im just not sure what it is written under?

I own all of Ferris' books, I tried the Slow Carb thing and all that happened is my weight stayed the same but I would slowly lose muscle mass and gain fat over about a year.

Let me be clear: I dont CARE about being LIGHTER - my WEIGHT is irrelevant to me in every way. I couldnt care less if I weigh 1 lb or 1M lbs. I just want my BODYFAT RATIO to go down. Id rather be 600 lbs with 4% bodyfat than 250 with 30%, you dig?

I think we all understand what you want.

Your thyroid results look normal. Have you ever used something like the bodybugg or bodymedia.com armband to track your daily caloric expenditures and tracked your daily caloric intake / macros?

Honestly, your bloods are not whacked out to the point that they would alone cause massive issues.

And your diet is apparently lower carb-ish.

So, unless you've really been earnest about a food log, and recorded calories and macros accurately, I'd say that is where you need to start.

Or talk to this guy http://www.eroids.com/pics/before-after-48-lbs-fat-loss

He made a pretty drastic turnaround using trt.

Thank you so much, an actual lead!
After looking at it this is EXACTLY one of the things I was looking for. You're awesome, thank you seriously for the help.

No problem my man. There's actually quite a few guys that have made turnarounds like that in the pic section if you have time to scroll through it.

Djimbe....You have 3 herniated discs in your spine...but you can kick above your head at 400lbs? Crazy! Some really unimportant info is glove size 6 (has no merit). But let's talk test levels...You sound like a big bear but your test level are of a little girl..(no offense) I would advise getting some TRT and if the doc say no, find a new doc or jump on some period at your age 300-500mg a week should do the trick but get bloods done by week 4-6 to see how your levels are reacting and your estro levels are doing. you can't fix herniated discs but you can build a strong frame to help support the back like core movements for strength and building strong abdominals to help support that lagging back. Let's be honest with each other and again no offense but it sounds like your age might be catching up with you not to mention the injuries. maybe look into some nandrolone for some post therapy and try and at least rebuild your core and start fresh.

Man click on my avatar - thats me doing the splits. That was a month ago. I listed my glove size so people can get in their head just how big my Bone Structure really is, AND get in their heads that WEIGHT is not an Issue for me, BF% is ALL I care about. I could honestly care less what I weigh.

And yeah, I tried seeking TRT and the doc was like "well your JUST above this number so Im afraid to ..." seriously thats what he said. He was afraid of losing his license.

Could you please be a little more specific with your reccomendations? 300-500MG/ week of what exactly? And I dont understand "maybe look into some nandrolone for some post therapy" You mean Post cycle therapy, yes? Should I even do this before to try to normalise my levels as it is? if so art what doses?
