So Im into watches, and handbags for my wife and jewlery. There is a HUGE market for Replica and 1:1 reps of Luxury Brand items. This occurs alot. And the Grey market for Luxury Brands is booming so I can see people trying to pass off fakes as real.
If you are going to buy Grey Market I suggest Japan. They are pretty strict on selling fakes.
You ever been to China Town in New York?
Dude. Literal basement shops with all fake LV, Gucci, and any designer brands items you can think of.
Seemed to be a majority of their income it’s a HUGE industry.
Part of why Intl. inherently holds more risk is they can open absolutely anything, and often time do just because.
This was probably the worst article I could have posted tied to this story to make my point lol. Other news articles talk about the amount of counterfeit prescription drugs. Which is what most of the shit we buy here falls under. I just meant to point out this incident specifically regarding all the gear.
This shit goes on everywhere, over here in the uk there called bonded boxes. There literally customs sealed containers and there left sealed and moved off site to make room for more containers coming in. They get picked up by the haulage company who pulls the job and then drove to and through the scanner by haulage company where the customs official cut the seal off replace it with the customers seal. The off site premises are owned by haulage company and when in there seals can be removed and replaced with counterfeit ones
You guys got ir sweet over there with gear. You can pretty much bring a packed bag full of good through customs, right? As long as you can prove personal use?
I'll bet that a good portion of those goods weren't all "material" items. Let's just say I won't be placing any orders from China anytime soon.
Im not trying to tell anyone else what to do. I'm more worried about not getting a pack and losing money than getting in any type of trouble. Aas are not high on the list of concerns for anyone rn. However... counterfeit pharmaceuticals probably ARE, right?
Exactly! I was also thinking though that it's probably the same manner In which our legit items from China slide through as well. Know what I mean?
Thats what happens at ports. Italians been doing it over hundred years.
Greasy Greesers
Lol!! Smart business. Until ya get caught
