Do you feel good about being the smart guy??

ad

Congratulations, you know the answer to a question. Does that mean you should be ginving it? In a lot of cases the answer is most certainly NO. This is a topic that I have seen here on eroids several times since I have been here but I think its time to put it out again. As of late I have seen too many people just handing out answers to a question that is not ready to be answered yet. I would like to take a second and discuss why. How is it possible to answer a question without all the pertinent facts. Recently there was a post were a guy was thinking about starting his first ever cycle. The post title was "Proper dosage of Winstrol" or something real close to that. Several people gave the answer to the question without asking important questions that could help to lead this individual down the right path. What are these questions you may ask. Before I answer that question I would like to switch gears and talk about the concept of creating a dialogue. First lets understand what a dialogue is. According to Websters dictionary a dialogue is defined as "a conversation between two or more persons resulting in the exchange of information on a particular issue with a view to reaching an amicable agreement or settlement." That being the case when someone asks a question would the correct way to create a dialogue simply be to blurt out an answer? Or is the answer given going to depend on many factors which have not been revealed yet? I believe the later. So how do we create a dialogue... Start by gaining all the pertinent facts by asking questions and waiting until a response is given which in all probability will lead to another question creating a back and forth "dialogue" in which both parties learn valuable information which will then lead to the previously mentioned amicable agreement. Now that I have talked about what a dialogue is and why its important lets go back to what questions should be asked.

Here are a few off the top of my head and without a doubt there are many more.
1. What are your goals?
2. How long have you been training?
3. What does your diet look like?
4. Have you used AAS before? If so what have you done?
5. What are your stats (Age, Weight, Height, BF%)

As these question are asked an answered undoubtedly there will be more that arise.

For those of you that replied on the post I mentioned above, I am not trying to call you out personally by any means, that just happened to be the latest one I saw. I wrote this simply because I am fairly new to AAS and my first consideration was to do a dbol only cycle and had I asked a similar question to the one above and was simply given the answer, that is more than likely the path I would have taken and possible had things go horribly wrong cause I would have never bothered to research things like liver support, checking blood pressure, water intake, all the things it takes to play this game the right way.

That being said, thank you to everyone here on eroids for the contributions you make to helping others, lets make the new year even better by having everyone on the same page.

I agree but I also believe that people just blurt out what's considered "protocol" on that specific topic. Because they've had it pounded into their heads over and over, they consider it gospel. This doesn't mean they're right or wrong. It's best to take the course of action you're describing when giving advice but it's going to happen over and over. New people all the time who may have googled a bunch of shit or even come from another board and again, have had this info drilled into their heads. This issue is directly connected to a bigger problem. One that makes me absolutely fuckin crazy! PARROTING!! If you don't have an experience using something, Then why are you giving advice on it? This is something that will probably always happen unfortunately.

You should attach this post to that post as reference. The data dropped on there wasn't correct IMO. This goes back to the "stats, goals, priors" of olded times. If OP isn't participating then no answer. +1

thank you for defining what dialogue is...LOL. I am indeed now a smarter man Smile
I guess some folks need that kind of thing?

Sorry man...I am just being a smartass, but I completely agree...ask pertinent questions BEFORE pulling the trigger and dishing out an answer.
