+ 3 Damn Tennis Elbow
Ok. So my damn tennis elbow is at about 95% pain free. Which is good. But damn it was bad the past month. Took me out. I just got back from Visiting my daughter in NYC for a week and half. Of course my diet suffered horribly during that time because I had to stay with my ex for that duration. It was pretty much just pizza and Halal truck. Yup. So good yet so bad for me. But it was worth it since I got to see my kid. Sucks having to leave her and see her sad. Breaks the heart ya know.
Ordered a brace for my elbow and gonna start back to gym tomorrow working my way back up. Gonna have to push my Prop/Test/Eq cycle back a month now in order to get my routine and diet back on point
Any of y’all ever have to deal with tennis elbow? Hopefully my brace helps. I’ll be wearing it for the workout for next 6 months to be in safe side
ps. Gettin old sucks!

Ouch man sorry to hear that. Family is everything, especially our kids.
I have had tennis elbow for 5ish months. Got it from using those ball throwers for my dog. I have not been able to get it to feel better even taking time off, so cant help you there. Hammer curls are impossible, picking anything up out of the back top of the fridge hurts too.
Curious to see if the brace helps. Good luck man let us know if anything works.
I've had it a time or two myself. It took months for mine to fully heel. I tried to avoid any direct movement that effected the elbow. I feel like this an area too where HGH really made a difference.
Yea. I was thinking that. But I’m gonna hold off on GH till I’m 40
Congrats on seeing your daughter. Family is the most important thing in life.
I have had it several times. Tried stretches, different exercises BPC157 and a couple other holistic routes with no success. My Doc was right. The only way I ever got rid of it completely was to stop working out for 3
+ months, fucking sucks because you lose gains so fast.
Also, slow and controlled positive and negative reps seem to help. When I was feeling strong and went HAM it usually caused a flare up that made things much worse. Also when on cycle, keep in mind your muscles may get stronger but that doesnt mean the tendons do too. Something i never thought about when the adrenaline was pumping and veins were popping out.
I have a solid year without any tennis elbow and not doing explosive reps seem to help me out big time.
And getting old definitely sucks. But dying young would be much worse. A blessing some people never get to experience. Good luck.
AnonSome take a collegen supplement while on cycle to assist the tendons while the muscle is getting bigger and the tendons just hang idle. It also makes you look younger in the face, reduces wrinkles and eye puffiness.
Oh snap. True. Didn’t think of that. Thanks man
True. Thanks man!! Yea. It’s 98% pain free. Taking it slow back in gym. And holding off on next cycle for another month or so
Glad to here. Make sure to do a proper warmup and even put an ice bag after a good workout as a preventative maintenance. Hope it stays away for a while. Brother I am busted up! I get knee, shoulder, finger, neck, and back pains, but I hate me some tennis elbow! Good luck
Yes getting old really sucks! Your heart is in the right place with your daughter; that's cool. I had a bout with Tennis Elbow a few years ago and it was brought. The brace will help a bit. I also used TB500 and I think it did help a bit as well.
Doing reverse wrist curls with a really light dumbell can help also, but don't overdo it! Avoid Winny! I believe it was the combo of Test and Winny that gave me the issue. +
Thanks man!
StevebLook up BPC157 for Tennis Elbow and you'll see a lot of people have used it to treat that problem. They even show where they were injecting it.
I get this also. Itll come and go, sometimes worse than other times. When I'm weightlifting I usually can get by with just a good ice down. But then theres times, especially after a jui jitsu beatdown, I have to heat up and ice down. Hot Epsom salt bath followed by a ice down.. I also notice that when my girl sleeps on my arm it can sometimes flare up. I will be checking out this a.r.t. process, first time ever hearing about, thanks for bringing up this topic...
Have you looked into peptides for it, I heard tb500 in particular can be good for tendon/joints, and heard bpc 157 is miracle for inflammation.
I haven’t looked into any of that yet. I think it’s almost all healed. Took a month tho. But i think I may be good with the compression sleeve
I’m gonna look into the ART if it ever comes back and I’ll read about what you suggested
I've dealt with it for years bro..here's what I do..when it acts up I will consistently use neoprine elbow sleeves especially when benching or curling..any time the elbow is really under stress..then I realized that ice for at last an hour at night helps tremendously..i know that an hour is a long time but I'll do it at night when I'm laying down..I'll ice both for half hour and switch for a half hour..really helps me..the only other thing I can say is some exercises really hit that spot when it acts up..i honestly avoid those exercises till it passes..good luck bro I been there
AnonI get it every 6 months or so and I get it in both forearms but not at the same time, I saw a doctor years ago who gave me a "BAND-IT", it worked great to help you through your workouts, especially arm day. I've been through 3 of them now, but you can order that off Amazon or Ebay. Luckily it comes and goes.
https://www.ebay.com/p/ProBand-Bandit-Therapeutic-Forearm-Band/172953228...
Yea. I’ve seen some of those. They work really well? I ended up ordering a compression a compression sleeve.
AnonThis band is the only thing I have found that works and fits. It also saved my forearm when I low sided my bike.
low estrogen makes it very much so worse, make sure you are not riding estro too low
A.R.T. can fix it by releasing the scar tissues/adhesions that are putting tension on the tendons and pulling them from the bone.
Voodoo Floss for maintenance.
I don’t think it has come to that. This is the first time I’ve ever had it. I think I just irritated it when doing certain forearm exercises. It’s almost all pain free. Maybe another week. But I’ll be drawn pre labs with next two weeks anyways to see where I’m at. Thanks man. I’ll be posting my next cycle for review soon too. But it will be basic Prop/E/Eq for 16 weeks. Well not the prop of course.
If its the first time you have had it, it is probably not disease of the tendon. Just means by lifting you have caused knots in your forearm which are pulling on the tendon.
voodoo floss should see you right, but seriously.... just 1 session of ART.... costs next to nothing and just 1 session can free that scar tissue right up
have a htink about it.
I got so bad, started like you, but got so bad I couldnt lift a cup of coffee (ego curling the 30kg DBs of course! yep; am an idiot), but the ART literally sorted it enough to manage it with voodoo floss, just 1 session.
all the big boys are getting ART now regularly. muscle adhesions are impossible to avoid. the scapula is the other big one that ppl keep getting them in. right by the shoulder blade, right nasty little nots. rotator cuffs too.
anyways!!! Good luck with it!!
Couldn't agree more about ART. I've been seeing an ART chiropractor for years who's treated several soft tissue injuries of mine. Since this is your first flare up of tennis elbow, it's unlikely that's it's something more serious, such as a tear.
I've had both tendonitis and a tendon tear of my tennis elbow tendon, which I had surgically repaired this past September.... so I've got quite a bit of experience with it. The best advice I would give is give it rest, see an ART practitioner which I believe will speed up recovery, and lay off any AAS until your 100%. Otherwise, your setting yourself up to have a setback and prolong your recovery
Good luck with your recovery pal.
Yea for sure. I figured in a week I’ll be pain free. And I’m pushing back my cycle for at least a month or so. I bought a compression sleeve I’m going to start wearing now too. And I’m def gonna look Into the ART y’all suggested
Yea. I looked up the VooDoo Floss. I like it. Yea. My right shoulder is jacked up ROM 90%. Had bad dirtbike accident years ago. And then two years ago went in again to cut up scar tissue. Damn Doc messed up and my bicep came off. Then had to go back and fix that too. So that side has a little Popeyes effect. Bastards. But strength and growth are good
I’m reading about ART now. Thanks man
Check out aflutop man. It helped me out
Just looked it up. I’m not at that point. It’s 95% pain free. Figure one more week and I’ll be good. Plus with this compression brace sleeve I got I should be good
Thanks tho man!
For sure brother, best of luck. Nothing more fun than a badass pump and a pain free workout lol
jayiskI have neoprene, single and double ply sleeves for elbows and knees depending on what I'm training.
You can also get a can of Icy Hot.., or some other brand.., and spray it on before you put the sleeve on. Helps a lot.
Oh yea. Didn’t think about the icy hot
Anonhaha, watch out and dont be like me I put that stuff on my right shoulder once, within 30 minutes after a hard sweat, I had it in my eyes, mouth and on my freshly shaved nuts "mental picture for all". I decided I'd rather have the other pain over that pain.
jayiskthe spray is better then the cream/gel for not getting it your nuts. done it several times with icy hot..,ben gay is worse cause it has camphor in it also.
yeah they warn you not to put in on after a shower cause your pores are more open. same thing if you are sweating.
AnonYeah I was expecting my sweat to make it travel that far. I use it at night laying on the couch now.
jayiskI meant with the spray you dont really touch it. with a cream you use your hands to apply it. and have to thoroughly wash your hands. even with that you just need a little left on your hand and when you take a pee it can get on your nuts.
Goodness Gracious. Great Balls of Fire
I've said this many times bro 2 bananas a day or a potassium supp heals it in 2 weeks. I had bad tennis elbow I couldn't even lift a 20lb dumbbell. My doc told me this including a friend of mine doctor. I run a jackhammer all day and that fucker is 90lbs not including the hose I had to fix my elbow
Very True bro potassium really does help a lot
Yea. It’s no joke.
It sucks ass man I could do some stuff but normal bicep curls no way. Honestly get some potassium and pound that shit down
