+ 5 Crashed My E2 Levels.
Being the occasionally over zealous person I tend to be, it would seem I may have kamikaze'd my E2 levels into the dirt. I had to cut my workout short today due to some serious joint pain from the downward spike of estradiol. I also should've known by the early warning signs of super-dry and itchy skin, and dry, chapped lips. I am also retaining a good deal of water which was my initial reason for dosing my AI heavier than usual and crashing my E2 levels. From what I understand low E2 can incite an inability to hold sodium therefore resulting in fluid retention thus mimicking high E2 levels. My pumps that are usually pretty insane were very lame as well and I was left feeling rather flat and unfulfilled after yesterday's session. Lethargy is a bitch too. So all in all I just wanted to remind you guys(especially the newer and/or less experienced users) to take it easy with your AI because low estradiol is just as bad as high IMO. And as always bro science (such as demonstrated in this thread) is no substitute for blood work and attention from a qualified medical professional. I just wanted to share this as a cautionary tale and to remind you guys that crashing can be as bad as having high E2 levels. Our hormones need to be in balance and you will not gain muscle without the presence of estrogen. Be safe and smart.

first off great post, I definitely learned quite a bit from it.
Now for the noon question; because of my where i am working (middle of no where) I cannot get any blood work done until I get back home. which will be in 2 weeks and I'll be on my 11th week by then..I'm afraid it will be pointless then?
only thing I have noticed is some soreness in my shoulder but not enough to prevent me from bodybuilding. Pumps are still the same , strength is through the roof .. I take arimidex .25 EOD
so the question is whether I crashed my e2 or am I just paranoid.
GearofWarGood questions, all. But the presence of pumps, and strength are a pretty strong indicator that E2 levels seem in order. The joint pain can be from overtraining, and/or the specific AAS you're using i.e. Winni can make your joints very creaky and unhappy. It could be a touch of paranoia, lol!
As always, keep in mind I'm no MD, just some dude on the internet spouting bro science and as such my advice is just that, advice. There is no substitute for a trained doctor and blood work.
thanks for the reply! I will get bloods done when I get back into town .. I am taking anavar for the last 6 weeks, I decided on the var last minute so I'll see how it goes.
should I maybe drop arimidex for say a week and see if I get any sides and then go back on it ?
I am 25 and this is my first cycle.. the only sides I have seen so far is bacne, this I had from my boxing days and aas just agitated a bit.
brother I'm jazzed you too the time to remind everyone what a real bag of downers crashed e2 is, Gear I've had a few discs fused in my back and the second to only last time I fucked up my estrogen was the same time I had one of my rare ra flare ups, holy shit I couldn't get out of bed for 2 days and I felt as if the world was crashing down on me. REALLY guys doing the right thing with your ai and serm protocols is just as important and deserves the same thought and attention as the rest of your cycle.
GearofWarJust as a little follow up guys. I'm at the gym as we speak cranking out a few miles on the stationary bike because I dumped myself so hard that the joint pain is nigh unbearable. This is a major setback in the middle of a cycle and wanted to reiterate how important it is to be careful with your AI's. My shoulders and upper arms are useless at the moment. I'm not feeling a whole lot differently as far as depression goes other than being bummed over losing time and progress due to my own stupidity. After this I would definitely prefer to have high E2 levels over these crashed levels. Low symptoms are much harder to deal with IMO. This joint pain is debilitating. I've dropped all AI's and will continue to use my compounds as before in hopes the aromitization of the Test will bump me back up into normal(I'll take HIGH even ATM) ranges. And yes my libidos has suffered as well. In a big way. Please play it smart guys and learn from Uncle Gear's moronic mistakes. This shit sucks and can't wait to fell like a bitch again with water retention and excess emotional baggage..
As iFit said below, people have a tendency to panic with AI doses and go over the top at the slightest sign of sensitive nips etc, him and I were talking about this exact subject a few weeks ago. Low estro is way more difficult for me too, it inhibits gains, lethargy, mood swings and the biggest issue I get is I get a real short fuse. The typical AI protocols could be considered a little antiquated and do not necessarily work as a default IMO.
Very good reminder. Controlling Estrogen can be so damn tricky. Once you think you have it figured out it can still throw you a curveball. Learning to control E2 is also why people need to start out with simple low dosed cycles so they can figure out how their body responds to the AAS AND what they as an individual may need to combat E2.
Great post (+1) and excellent comment (iFit, +1). Like iFit said, everyone is different and need different doses of AI and even different AI compounds. I think we get set in a cycle with our mg. doses with our gear and think that we need to do the same with the AI. I hope many people see this and realize it's a variable thing and to learn as much about AI's and how we personally react to them and to adjust accordingly.
This is something I talk about pretty much every day on here. Problem is that guys follow the "standard protocol" for AIs but everyone is different so you need to find your own personal sweet spot. Also see too many guys panic as soon as the nips get a little sensitive. Crashing your estro is a miserable experience and not something I ever want to do again.
Good post GOW, reminder to us all. +2
