Blood Work Results Pre Diabetes or Insulin resistant?
ad
Im sure a few of you are familiar with blood sugar and insulin...
i've always been hypoglycemic so i was rather shocked when my fasting blood sugar
came back 115 (range 61-104) and my insulin below low 6.6 (range 9.3-29.1)
So can someone tell me what this means...i wont be going to the dr for a few weeks i managed to get the lab to fax me my blood results.....
My dad was diabetic and his mother my grandmother died from diabetes so could this mean im pre-diabetic or worse insulin resistant? and what exactly does insulin resistant mean?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated

Also i've been dizzy a lot idk if this is related but when i eat i feel better
That sounds like low blood sugar.I would get a blood glucose meter and check your blood sugar when you are dizzy.Wal-mart has the ReliOn.The test strips are the cheapest of all the brands.
I know and i've also had a prob with low so thats why i didnt understand the results but isnt the low insulin a problem
The early test may have affected that also.
Hmm slight hyperglcemia you don't deviate very much from the norm I would definitely keep an eye on it getting it checked again at the Dr. in a few weeks is probably the best thing to do to get a good idea of your levels over time because it could be a fluke.
but what about the low insulin isnt that bad?
AnonYea but relax dnt freak out bout it
At least ur catchin it early
but what is it? lol im still confused :(
AnonWell diabetes type 1 is where your pancreas just has a totally low or no insulin at all.
Diabetes 2 means you still have insulin sometimes low or in range but your cells in ur body dont respond to it like they should.
So as oldhead said maybe type2 but i dont wana scare you. Relax maybe a repeated test could be done
well that can be treated with diet and exercise i can live with that lol i just dont wanna take insulin as you can imagine why
AnonItll make u super muscular LoL
Yea just stay away from high glycemic fruits cuz i know ur a healthy person who eat fruit. And all other high glycemic foods and re do test like OldHead said.
haha yr right i am a healthy person who eats fruit in the morning like peaches or papaya or mango....and i will do what oldhead said and thank you for yr help very much
p.s. insulin makes you muscular???
AnonYea u kno insulin drives the protien and glycogen to muscle cells and increases uptake of amino acids to start protien synthesis. People who use HGH use insulin to grow like a mofo
But insulin also send nutrients to adipose cells(fat cells) so it can make u fat too.
There's those 3 letters that no woman wants to hear FAT! lol ill pass
Did you have your A1C tested?Your blood sugar elevates shortly after waking up,if you got your blood test shortly after waking up,that would do it.
Anon+1 cuz i saw u said b4 Oldhead lol
Thank you for the validation Batman!lol
yes i did it a about a half hour after i woke up....i have to check but i think i had that A1C test
Also you aren't supposed to have the test done right after you wake up it affects the test it's called the "dawn phenomenon"
hmmmm the dawn phenomenom...why didnt the dr tell me that? do they know about this dawn shuff
AnonIts not insulin residttance cuz that means u still produce enough insulin just thst ur cells dont respond to the insulin.
Try some cinamon and alhpa lipolytic acid
Or even glymetrol
That's actually incorrect... Insulin resistant means that the cells don't respond to insulin very well; therefore, insulin-carried glucose remains in circulation until excreted rather than taken up by the cells.
Doss can you speak english i dont understand what all this means
AnonU just said what i said? People wit insulin residtance still produce insulin
Wat do u not agree on my friend?
Edit u gave more detail to the explainstion im txtin n drivn
I def read that wrong... I thought you said "don't produce insulin". My bad.
The fact that glucose is still marginally
High during a fasting state could indicate resistance.
AnonKool
Next questiom to her is how long did she fast b4 test
14 hours
AnonDam i was hope u would of said like 9hrs
14hrs is more than enuff to have ur glucose at normal ranges
But ur glucose is not dangerously high u can still save ur self, but talk to ur doctor
Avoid high glycemic foods and fruits for now untill u go see ur Dr.
kk tks
