ad

Kill me now. I had to move back with the parents for a few months (had a house in escrow the deal fell apart)
and had to put my weights in storage I had everything I needed in my garage and was a happy camper. Had my boys come by and wrokout had kids from the football team I coach come out and form was the rule of the day!
So now i had to join a big Gym and today was my first day! KILL ME NOW! the place was cold as hell weights where thrown every place fools walking around flexing in the mirror who looked like Barny Fife .
kids (late teens ealry 20's) throwing shit around like they want an injury and then one of them told me.
"you should take of your sweat shirt and hood your going to over heat in that, its not good for you"
then later he tells me "you need to learn the rules around here you have to let someone work in, inbetween your sets" I take 30-45 second rest between sets.
gave him the 'fuck of look' and thought it was time to take of the sweat shirt.

For some reason after that everyone stayed out of my way LOL

I need to find a new gym,,,,,just a rant

I miss working out on base when I was in the military. I go to a LA fitness now. I love the hammer strength machines. But during busy times its like a singles bar.

Could be worse, it could be Planet Fitness. I go to a local gym which used to be a branch of Gold's but the rates were too high and they were forced to sell. My gym isn't so super big, but when it's crowded, it's packed. No room to work on the free weights with all the high school kids benching 65 pounds and struggling. I'm only 24, yet I've been lifting since I was 16 so I try to help them with form as much as I can tolerate it. The worst thing is when I hop on a bench, and almost immediately some kid with who came with 3 friends will SEE ME putting the weights on the bar, and they still ask "bro how many sets you got left?" I usually try to point to my headphones and act like "I can't hear you" but sometimes I just say "a lot" and give them a fuck off wait your turn look.

I just moved to a small town with a small gym a few months ago and I love it. I used to go to a very crowded facility watching people text or Facebook in between every set (5 minutes between sets) while sitting on equipment I want to use. Now, 9 times out of 10, I'm the only person in my gym. Occasionally a cardio person comes in and jumps on a treadmill, but its very quiet in there and no one is ever in my way! I love it.

Ya I walked into my gym the other day and it was cold as shit!! I asked the dude why you have the ac down so far and he looked at me funny and said you'll warm up to it. Kinda pissed me off because man when I run my mile before I lift I want my shirt to be soaked when I'm done. I hate it when people don't put their weights up. People don't realize that racking your own weights is good because your picking that weight up again. Ill have my own equipment someday....

Yup mine is filled with old people and little shots who think their big. Can't stand it certain times of the day either when it's so crowded

Hate commercial gyms. Use one part time when I don't want to commute. Luckily they know me there enough to stay out of my way

Sounds like a typical gym. Except for the cocky prick, most guys in my gym seem ok guys.
