Adding mass with age
ad
I've seen some very impressive physiques here from guys that are in their 40's and I'm just curious as to how long we could continue to grow and improve given the tools we have at hand here, before we start to decline and our bodies give way to "old age." To cut out the variables as much as possible, lets assume total dedication and dicipline are followed. At 41, I'd like to think I've got another 20yrs to build if I chose to.

56tooHey brother I'm 57 and still growing, slower but still growing. I look better now than I have ever looked in my whole life!
Brother if you stick to it another 20 years that wouldn't be a problem in the least. Take my dad..He's 75 on TRT plus I'm giving him a therapeutic dose of deca at 125mg's a week.(his sweet spot) His arms just hit 17". He's doing great! Although him constantly telling me about his hardon's And blowjob's gets kinda odd at times lol. In the end..If your in your 40's you are still a young man. Oh I need to add that my dad doesn't miss a gym day either. He's my gym partner. We work out 2 on and 1 off. And he still handles that iron like a beast. Just don't give up!
Its a matter of goals. I'm 44 and have spent the last year in recomp and dieting down. I've been isolating core and legs cuz I've spent a lifetime cheating in those areas. I've stripped myself down to do a proper rebuild. Do I have plans or intentions to walk down the stage? No! But that doesn't mean I don't want to optimize and become the best version of me I can be. Now we may not have youth on our sides but we do have something the youngsters will have to wait on: PATIENCE AND MATURITY
Im 41 and getting thicker each year. Minor setback...but back on track. Will be competing next summer. Never give up. There's hundreds of masters bodybuilders with tremendoysly better bodies than youngsters. They're just not in all the magazines . Albert beckles was my favorite old fart. Huge, cut, proportioned. Competed at Gpa age
it all comes down to what you subject your body too and what you do to take care of it.. about ten years ago I was heavy into cycling. You would be amazed at what it does as far as keeping people looking youthful. I started looking around at other people and their "exercise" routines. It comes down to who stays active and eats healthy and takes care of themselves.
Well I asked this question because I hardly ever see any bodybuilders say in their 50's but I know priorities change, and someone my prefer playing with their grandbabies than going to the gym, but I would have to agree that it all comes down to how long your willing to keep doing what your doing.
Bro just look up Viking and SuzyB. Both have bodies of someone in their early twenties! So first genetics come into play with staying youthful looking. Next comes wear and tear. Live hard and fast and you age hard and fast. As u get older you lose ur natty test and GH. Supplement them both with a therapy protocol and watch father time skip u a few years in a row. The older u get the more important it is to have a Test/HGH therapy protocol in place. See I have a spine thats an old mans spine. I'm only 33. 3 herniations and two complete ruptures in my spine. I started a GH regimen this year and have loved every aspect of it. Get researching brother cuz there is plenty of things you can do to keep the clock from ticking
TRT is in place and I'm kickin around the GH, so I'll get it in there sometime. Ha, I was talking to a couple the other day and they were telling me about how they had to move because it was getting harder to climb the steps to their house. She said... "you know, we're getting older and we cant climb like we use to, we're in our 40's" lol. There's just something about hitting 40 that gets the wheels turning a little bit I think. All the more reason to keep moving.
