Sub Q Testosterone vs IM
So I've noticed the use of slin pins is becoming more frequent in testosterone administration and wanted to share some interesting info on sub q which is becoming more of a common trt practice these days. Please excuse the subject matter of the study (not saying its good or bad just different) but it's findings are interesting ...
Benefits of Sub-Q
Stable T levels often at doses lower than required for IM injections, reducing patient drug costs.
Injections are more easily self-administered than IM injections. Not just a convenience, self-administered injections are also a money saver for those who have been paying to have injections administered at a clinic.
Shorter needles used with subcutaneous injection are ideal for trans teens, with their smaller musculature.
No build up of muscular scar tissue as with IM injections.
No risk of sciatic nerve injury from dorsogluteal IM injections.

Even better is slin pin IM. I've been like this in my quads and delts, where the muslce is lean, and dense. I've always been told you need to get that oil deep, but that's where most PIP seems to dwell on forever. On the surface, I've never experienced any PIP, and have experienced much less scar tissue, etc.
Yea same here bro. 5/8 pinn in the quads
Yeah i like it
SlamhamsWhat is this...This is JUNK.Stealing someone's Work and post it as your own...TROLL
EVERYONE KNOWS TO DO IM SHOTS.
Do you see the link in the post, like a footnote giving credit to the source?
I tried subcutaneous once in the belly. It took two months for the hardened fat to return to normal. I guess the burning when I started the injection should have been my clue to stop. I now use a 1" 25 gauge for any ester longer than Phenylpropinate and 26 gauge for Phenylpropinate and Propionate. Too short of a needle might invite the oil getting between the fat and muscle creating the potential for a cyst. I never really noticed a difference between using a 1ml, 2ml, 3ml or 5ml syringes, though.
I've never had an issue with the test that is prescribed to me. Only with the UGL stuff.
I have a script for test...was contemplating trying a subQ shot but I've been doing old school IM for decades.
You mentioned prescribed test likely working best and curious if you know/heard of anyone subQ with any particular brand specifically?
Didn't want to break any open forum rules so if you require PMing me with the answer that would be appreciated as well.
Thanks
My prescribed brand is W****n
My presumption is that it would be OK for any prescribed test.
If I were you, I'd let the doc know you heard about subQ injections and just ask him about it as an option to see what he says.
Same brand as I am prescribed.
From the rest of the reading on this thread it appears that this may only benefit those using HRT dosages which would eliminate the reason for me to do so.
I've just not ever tried to get any formulation of gear through anything smaller than 25g so was just surprising to see others doing so with it.
Appreciate your feedback
Lots of gear with high EO percentages tend to be real thin I've pinned several popular brands with a 29g 5/8 syringe IM as well if your doing everyday injection of mast or test prop it can be used cycling but with long esters or just thick oils I used 25g as well. It's all preference really but as far as trt goes I'm not saying sub q is better but their is benefits like the article speaks about.
Like they say many ways to skin a cat lol
I was using top rated UGL Test based oil when I tried it. Maybe, it was because it was straight Test? I am all for subcutaneous injections. If one can get their shots with no PIP and tissue scarring then it is a good thing.
Unless the FDA is rating them I'd consider it suspect.
Try using other "top rated" UGL's. You might come across one that has no issues. There's no need for me to experiment so I havn't tried.
I will give it another go. I'll try some Prop next time.
Same.. just gotta get the good stuff!
I like im for oils.
29g 1/2in slin pin for anything i can draw into it and under 1cc.
25g 1in or 5/8in for any thick oils and over 1cc.
X2 that's the page I'm on right now and good point with higher ml's it's just more practical to have 3 ml 25 g
Testrogen_PropC...Awesome post OP. I tried 2 subq test injections and didn't care for it. (Burned like a MFer and left a huge welt) but what I have been doing lately is using 2 slin pins to pin 1cc instead of my usual 1.5" 23ga 3cc syringe setup. And I take those slin pins I.M. I like it quite a bit, no scar tissue to worry about, literally can't even feel the needle going in etc.
Yes exactly bro I don't personally prefer sub q (definitly still an option for me) but one of my main points was that a lot of people still believe a slin pin is to short and actually it works really good for all the reasons above. Yep I'm on the same page +1 bro
Testrogen_PropC...Agreed bro I'm fairly lean so I can pin pretty much anywhere with slin pins with no problem at all. I just make sure I'm pushing pretty firmly into the muscle with slin pins before I inject. Works perfectly and no issues at all. I think I'm done with 1.5 23ga. 1" or shorter is perfect for me
Yeah exactly, I don't touch 1.5 inch anymore, I got some 1 inch 25 gauge that I like.. I have some 23's here but prefer the 25g
Testrogen_PropC...Exactly I think 25ga 1 inch is perfect for a 3cc syringe. And man is it nice to use a 29 or 28ga slin pin. Literally can't feel a thing lol. Makes me wish I started doing this WAY sooner, I have quite a bit of scar tissue from the 23s
+1 to both of you for adding this info.
I've only used 25 1" pins, and they leave a little PIP every time, despite "the tricks to eliminate pip." I don't mind it at this point cuz the pip is tolerable, and my quality of life is so much improved compared to before pinning. But still, I've never considered going smaller than 25g. Hmmm....
If you decide to switch to a slin pen make sure to research back fill proceedures. They are not difficult but when you draw with your 3cc the extra steps may Increase risk of contamination. I keep the slin pin plunger in my off hand and never put it down. Others may have hints on how they backfill as well.
Please forgive my ignorance. Do you fill a slin pin differently than a normal syringe? (I simply assume I'd draw with a 22g, then pin with the 27g slin pin, but hell if I know.) I'm sorry for asking instead of just searching the site. I'm being lazy as fuck this morning on my computer, so tell me to go pound sand if I'm being annoying asking something that might be rudimentary!
Some folks like to pull the plunger out of slin pin and fill it with a larger 3cc syringe from the back. Kind of a pain in the ass and a higher risk of contamination. Little patience drawing in with slin works fine for me. Warming the oil helps draw it in to.
Any draw with the pin your injecting may dull the needle, bend or weaken it. I always use a different needle to draw and one to pin. Had an issue with 22 ga not piercing skin after drawing 3 different compounds. Backfill on slin can be done safely but any contamination you need to toss the pin and may lose your compound.
Testrogen_PropC...You'll love the slin pins brother. You can't go much smaller than 25ga with a 3cc syringe because of the syringe barrel diameter and oil viscosity (too much back pressure to push the oil through) BUT, with the small diameter of slin pins the oil goes right through a small needle no problem. I've used as small as 30ga slin pins with success for test
X2 that especially if its thin like EO it flows with little effort
Testrogen_PropC...Yes sir it does. Also incase he buys them I should add for him these are all .5cc slin pins I'm referring to. I'm not sure how small of a needle you can go with on a 1cc slin pin but still smaller than the 3cc setup for sure. With the .5cc 1/2 inch I prefer 29,28, and 27ga. The 27ga flows super smooth but I still feel just a pinch when it breaks the surface of the skin, with the 28 and 29 I literally don't feel a thing lol
The 1 ml's work good imo i got some 1ml 29g ones that works ran some thicker oils than EO thru them it no problem
I simply assume that eventually one day, I'll need to pin 1ml of 200mg/ml test cyp, but currently I'm at .5ml weekly. It's changed my life for the better, no doubt. Honestly, I never researched slin pins cuz I always associated them with insulin (which I have no use for, let alone that it's a taboo subject on eroids since so many men inadvertently kill themselves trying to use it). However, a slin pin is just a syringe, and any syringe can technically hold any oil, assuming the oil viscosity can fit through the needle.
Again, this info has a lot of value to me, as well as our brothers on this site. Thank you both! +1 for you both for the great addition.
You shouldn't have to pin more as time goes on ... your body does not get used to endogenous testosterone so it won't get used to exogenous testosterone.By get used to I mean develop a tolerance to where it becomes less effective. (For trt purposes)
Slin pins are a good option for sure
I did not know this. Thank you for sharing!
Good read bro
Glad you enjoyed brother interesting to say the least
I have heard of some people doing SubQ TRT. Some like it some don't. Anything over 0.3ml for me and I'm stuck with a painful welt for 3-4 days. I have to go IM.
BarneyFifeI agree.
yea I mean even when I inject HGH there seems to be a lasting bump before it all disperses I feel like testosterone would hurt a lot more and stay there a lot Longer
I find 1ml+ of Wat(Censored)son Test Cyp to be almost painless, ..........it's just a pain in the ass to have to do it every week.
Thanks sharing was hoping to gets some wheels turning for guys who were unaware or maybe we're aware but hadn't seen the study and might spot something new. Also to open up some discussion on the topic. It's you know interesting to read when they do these studies.. I posted another one about that quick pen as well.
Here's one of the top trt clinics in the US summarising the benifits of sub q and some studies on the subject:
http://defymedical.com/blog/item/8-
subcutaneous-administration-of-testosterone
CONCLUSION: Therapy with weekly subcutaneous testosterone produced serum levels that were within the normal range in 100% of patients for both peak and trough levels. This is the first report, which demonstrated the efficacy of delivering weekly testosterone using this cheap, safe, and less painful subcutaneous route.
+1 for sharing info to our community. Thank you, brother! (And for those who are male, female, or trans on our forums, I really, really hope that this info helps us all. We're all fellow travelers to the grave, so we might as well help each other live as healthy and stress free as possible.) Again, great info to share here.
BarneyFifeLMAO Maybe Bruce Jenner is on here. + 1
I almost spit my coffee up when I read this
BarneyFifeI had that wrong. It would be Chaz Bono. Looks like one of those old Russian Olympic lifters. Ay comrade. lol
X2 exactly just making are way thru life as healthy and stress free as possible. Np bro
Have you hear about TESTOSTERONE PELLETs? they are implemented beneath the skin and disperse over a months time or so? This was mentioned to me recently so I don't know much about it
BarneyFifeHavent seen those. We used to get the old Raw Gro pellets years ago.
Yeah those scare me reminds of the birth control in girls arms, I believe they last like 5-7 months ( don't quote me) it's a bunch of em implanted but there can be complications and if they have to be removed they have to be takin out surgically. Also adjusting dosage can be a issue. Lots of down sides imo but some really like it especially those that hate injections and dislike creams... but I don't know a whole lot other than that.
