+ 11 Karma Karma Karma its poison and I dont want it
how do I get more
please check to see if someone downvoted me
please give me some karma
please dont take my karma
im so sorry i wont do it again, JUST DONT TAKE MY KARMA PLEASE
MODs are on a power trip
took my karma for nothing
MODs got a hard on for me
I posted a pic and didnt get no karma
i write reviews and no one gives me karma
so many times users have got a bunch of karma and think they are the shit, untouchable, can tell MODs what to do. I dont know how many people on this site have been banned after getting some karma and breaking rule after rule, started treating people like shit cause they got a tag.
Karma is poison to this site, it makes me sick that people think its worth so much. im tired of the whining, crying, manipulation, lying, dealing, promoting sources, repping, karma bumping clicks, and every other fucking thing that shit promotes. its just a fucking number next to your name! it doesnt make anything more then you are!
I just donated 2118 points to the site, the shit makes me feel like we working against everything were trying to do here, it damn sure isnt making for a safer site. the bads out weigh the goods, all we see is corruption from it.
Im sick of it. I hope we find something better as a site cause this is killing us!

AnonWe have to think about the basis of these questions
Will they be based on bro science or actual studies ...or....
You may be on to something
I like this idea
Why not just put a stop to karma based promotions? if that's judged to be one of the main reasons why people hunt karma it might be a way to reduce a % of that activity. Also seems it would be easy to implemeant and monitor. Idk.
Help I have the shits LMFAO I miss you when you talk like this (No Homo) I want those days back Vike when we all were a happy fkn family and we were able to help each other out and we were able to help the clueless rethink there "talcum powder dbol" only cycles and they listened to us. It's winter almost here so I have free time on it's way to come back and help again.
You know whats worse than all the karma threads? All the hypocrites that start posting in them. If you have ever posted a review just to get in on a promo you shouldn't be on here bitching about others doing it. If you have ever intentionally gamed the karma system maybe this isn't the thread to be feigning indignity. There are plenty of other examples but you get my point.
BTW, I am not casting judgement on anyones past transgressions just pointing that ya'll have skeletons in your closet too.
AnonMaybe no more karma for pics..... only gain karma if you help someone in the forums..... I saw someone say this and I agree with it..... maybe just do away with it all together and find another way to identify a member by their experience and time spent on site
People are acting crazy over this karma thing and I must agree with this post
Something needs to change
Honestly the best way to reduce is make it harder to get karma from posting pics. That's where these karma whores come from. It's a shame because people like feeling that they're doing a good job(physically and advice) and so they appreciate the karma, but then we have guys with +200 karma and it's all from pics
I just responded to another post, Lately hasn't it seemed like any posts coming up are just about karma? I don't see any informatives, no more science, no more helping others. All i see is how do I get more karma? I dont want to lose all the karma I spent so many days getting, please dont take my karma away for doing the wrong thing, Can we just get back to the way it was when I joined where everyone was worried about helping the helpless and not worried about helping themselves? I'm starting to believe they do it so they can get freebies from the sources and that is the only reason. We do have some vets here that are still here when I started that make an effort to help but as of the last year we have the guys and girls more worried about themselves because once they reach a certain level they become arrogant little pricks, especially the ones with 1 cycle under their belt and tote themselves like fkn pros. The only integrity that is gone is those peoples. How do they live with themselves is beyond me.
AnonI've seen it
It's another reason why I haven't been around as much
Biting my tongue to keep from snapping on somebody and getting banned
AnonAmen. Brother its just that some individuals are irresponsible. When fanboys stay on a SI and become "buddies" they tend to bump each other karma up on pics, comments. I have literally seen people who are "EXP" and in under a year lol. I have gotten great info from members with 8, 60 and 180 karma points.
lol don't get me started on the si pages; I have never seen such irresponsibility and recklessness in my life. I would have been banned a long time ago if I commented on even 1/4 of the the asinine idiotic things I see over there. If a mod had to stay on the SI fanboy pages for 3 days they would go fkn bonkers. At least some of the sources have the balls to call these morons out and those are the ones I do my business with.
Which clown thought it was smart to down vote this?
Oh the irony.....
AnonNo shit .....ironic as hell
AnonLol. I upvoted than I was like damn he doesnt want karma wtf am I doing. But I didnt down vote it, I was the 8th upvote.
2 years here, 200 karma. Works for me.
It's very refreshing to see a mod with low karma for once. Time to abolish the system in my opinion.
ClassyChassisI have seen a member or two with a huge amount of karma, and it came entirely from posting gear pics. I wouldn't doubt but what a lot of that gear was free, with the understanding that a pic/review would be posted by a high karma member. It makes a mockery of the whole thing. Full disclosure, I have I believe, 3 points from posting a pic of an order I placed and paid for because I believe in the source and didn't mind helping to promote him, such as I did. lol. I don't know what the solution is, but maybe if you capped it at 30 points..... Ha ha, I can hear the howls now. (-:
AnonI made a post months ago or a year ago about doing the karma system over that showed three points totals which were the reviews you wrote, years on site and I cant remember what the last number was going to represent maybe pics uploaded.
No fucking way in hell should anyone be a registered member for a year or a year in a half and have 900 karma points. I've been here nearly three years and just earned an advanced tag, and I respect the fact that it took that long to EARN!!!!!
There should be a 3 point limit of posting gear pics (I have received points for gear pics but have not posted a gear pic in almost a year and I wont). There should be a 20 point limit on a self shot. I literally have seen a bicep pic earn 40+ karma points for some people (usually a high karma person with even a higher number of fanboy followers).
Finally, Karma on this site is a great thing it just becomes an issue when people misuse and abuse it. Again, karma is a great thing but often abused most people on this site (myself at times, I'm sure). One more thing, you should have to put in a full year of membership before you can upvote a point to someone.
2 be honest bro your one of the advanced members I really do respect and Your definitely an advanced members in my eyes for what ever thats worth....Not kissing ass just being straight up with you
AnonThanks man, I've made my mistakes here but this site has changed my life for the better. I lost 148 karma points at one time and guess what, I dusted off my pants, picked myself up and still contributed to this community because this is a place I respect. This community helped me through some crazy times in the last 3 years, thats why I'm passionate about maintaining its integrity and have a low tolerance for bullshit that may occur.
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkI made a post as you saw also. Its intent was not to start arguments , pissing matches , or singling people out , even if i or others have poor views of other members on this site we are all entitled to our opinions but does not mean we have to voice hate. With that being said i made the post to help open peoples eyes that sure is the system a little flawed by us as members being able to award soo much karma for pics and posting pics after pics, after pics, no matter what kind whether it be pics of progress, pics of gear, ass shots of your girl whatever, or being able to award soo much karma for funny comebacks , jokes , or just down right stupidity, sure its a little flawed. But, with that being said we as a community , as members are more to blame by awarding said karma no one made us hit the button it was us as members choice. soo many people have a lot of ideas, i say look in the mirror because many of us are to blame for just hitting the karma button. Instead of having a war on what should be changed as far as the site goes , why cant all of us members whether your a guru tag, pro tag , exp. tag, adv. tag, level 1,2 or 3 change the problem we as a group can change the problem. The mods cannot be expected to fix everything, BFG cannot be expected to change everything. Is it easier said then done but it can be done. If you see some posting pic after pic after pic of gear , selfies , say something nicely and than report it, if you see someone just running around awarding karma for retarded shit say something to the person nicely and if it gets out of hand tell a mod, if you see a group of guys or girls giving a circle jerk for dumbass shit say something, there is no need for us to hit the button , you see some shity advice down vote it and tell the person why you did it easy enough, i just don't understand how people can blame the system 100% when if we didn't hit the button the fucking karma would not be awarded in the first place. you wouldn't have people who don't know jack shit about things running around with high tags, you wouldn't have people who just aren't liked having low numbers even tho they have good knowledge and share it often but because he isn't witty he doesn't get karma. People who bitch that guys under 25 (no pun intended dudebro you made a solid point) are giving and receiving advice than say something to them and than if they argue like a fuck wit tell a mod if it bothers you. I try often to help guys around my age make the right choices the guys who are younger i reason with them and try hard but if they don't get it and act like a cocky cunt i tell a mod simple right? i try to police "my generation" god that sucks to say lol but if another member sees em put in work and defend what your site stands for period. all of us can make a change if we really want it, but 10 members cant quite a few of us have to regardless of our fucking karma. sorry for blowing up your post noid just felt i had to voice that.
Another idea here:
Eliminate the karma entirely, and make a rule for the SRCs that all promos are meant for all users, and let them limit the amount of slots they can fill for the promo. A good way to prevent users from creating multiple accounts just for promos, is after 3 months, your tag changes from NEW to REG, and no NEW members can be in on promos, and REGs need to have a certain posting frequency to qualify, and then the tags can change based on time here. The only tag that matters anyway is MOD truthfully, the rest are just based off of numbers that don't matter.
IRISH1234I just wanted to say Noid, respect. Even though I think you're a Fuck head. What you just did for this site, much respect.
I just wanted to say something and you can ban away.
I think any member here , who's here for the sole reason to help, leave honest reviews , offer their input and experiences shouldn't care about karma.
Absolutely right. Let's face it , any logical thinking source would. I know I would. Why ? Cause all the new fish in the pound are going to flock to the guys who have high karma . This results in fan boys, scams and all sorts of sneaky shit I've witnessed the past few years.
My opinion on the matter sir, ( as if you care right ;) lol)
Get rid of it. Those that are helping daily will be recognized. Award them as you see fit. Or appoint several vets that you know will be respectful in giving out certain "badges"
Bare minimum, reset everyone and make it so you can only earn so much in a month. Tell every src , you're not allowed to promote karma amount sales PERIOD. YOU DO YOU'RE GONE.
Let's face it noid, the system is broken. Been broken for awhile. You and bfg know this. Time to start thinking differently. This right here is a big big step forward.
anyways.
Peace out fuckas
Uncle Irish
=)
Not saying I don't like karma .. But karma can be like money and corrupts people causing them to do things they normally wouldn't do.. Karma can be a powerful tool in the hands of a person deserving of it and shares is or hers knowledge
This is a good point. Karma is VERY useful for us, we all know the higher your number, the more promos you can get in on, which is excellent being you get free gear out of it. The ones that deserve the free gear however may not always get it because they don't post enough pics of their orders. I have done this in the past and stopped putting up almost all of my orders because I want to get my karma the right way. I plan on having my ADV tag eventually, however long it takes, ONLY by getting thumbed up on my comments. I will stop completely posting gear pics just to prove to myself and others you can get a higher tag by your opinions, thoughts and advice....
I don't recall seeing any promos that were strictly for high karma members. Usually it is like 30. Not hard to attain at all.
They pop up here and there, recently there has been some promos that were $x amount over 100 karma, $x amount over 200 etc. these aren't the normal promos, but they do pop up here and there
RustyhookerMost promos are fairly easy on karma. I actually avoid promos. Most promos give ya as an example.....30-10Mg dbol tabs. How the hell can you stake your reputation on 10days of dbol?
Because they know about the "3 days into test e cycle and I feel hungry, stronger, libido is up, 10 pounds gained" guys are the ones in those promos most of the time. Those are truly the guys they look for, can you blame them? Then they leave a sparkling review and say they will shop there forever even though we all know they will never buy anything and only look for the promos in the 1st place. The only reviews I look for is from the guys I know here and the advice they give. I would fkn LOVE to see pics of these guys that worship the 20 dbol promos and swear they gained 100 pounds of muscle. We could start the top 20 dumbest aas users.
I gotta give u a +1 for that, spot on comment bro. These same jerk offs putting up reviews before they even start the gear just so they can vote and recieve the next promo has left our ranking system very unreliable
I also will say I LOVE when someone receives 50 dbols and puts pics up and says how "yummy" they look (dumb), then asks ON THE SI PAGE why no one gave him karma lol. I swear man.....
I agree, although it took a while for me to get my head on straight (I've taken part in lame promos when I first got here)...now that I look at some of these promos through different eyes, why take a risk and break the law for literally 15 bucks worth of dbols, or a bottle of prop. It amazes me how some people act in the promo threads, practically begging for free gear, or the karma so they can get the free gear.
That's very true. I never thought of it like that.
RustyhookerThe good part of s promo is when you're going to buy from that source anyways. Get a full supply and go cycle. But it's just uncredible to review a small sample.
Pros and cons to everything.
And truth be told brother I don't pay close attention to promo's. I think I have actually looked more lately than ever.
That's probably why you didn't see it then, like I said those types of promos don't occur often, but they're out there.
nah man there was one recently that gave out huuuuuuuuuuuuge for high karma guys based on what level they're at. i think the top prize was $500 credit for users that have voted on that source and have karma over 1000... or something like that.
this is another part of the problem. sources use karma as a means to promote themselves, members do anything necessary to make that karma in order to get the promo. take out the karma and none of this would happen.
That is true, no denying it.
edit
I totally heard this in Jan Brady's voice lol
Karma is only as important as people make it. But clearly you know this.
Well it obvious A lot of people put much importance behind it I seen 1 guy start crying and join Muscle Gurus over getting docked like 200 points....or guys that have a year or a year and half with aas and they have an EXP tag its like cmon really it goes straight to their head....but again it just needs to be re designed with bumpers on the lane so to speak
HA!
Some people do take it too seriously, nothing over 50 really matters anyway.
people are living in a fantasy world!
Wait, you mean I can't pay my bills with karma? I am so screwed.
AnonI fucking applaud you for this. I stand beside you on this one.
Set me back at zero. Let these kids have all the karma they want. Fuck ya Ese
Zero?!?! But Ese, you're so close to 1,000!!! ;-p
AnonDelete your account and assume a new name, that is the only way to erase karma. Simply using the same profile but with 0 karma, wont have much of an impact its more symbolic than anything. If you want to go to 0, delete your account and create a new name.
What about the notion that the only ones who can see our actual number are ourselves, MODs and SRCs (verified ones, only for promo reasons as many promos are based on the karma range)???
The other users will only see our tag, which can be restructured from what it is now so the LVL1, 2, adv etc. aren't the same point range. If you are level 2 everyone knows you're between 100 and 200.
Also, in an attempt to limit karma whoring, how about the possibility of having a limit to what you can give out per day, and if you go over the number it comes out of your karma? See how quick the BS +1's for a pic of a bottle of prop stop...
Just a few suggestions that will keep karma as an important number without the dick swinging you see on the threads and forums. Too many times you see a new member bashed by someone saying "yea you joined 3 days ago, your advice is useless", when in reality you aren't hatching out of some giant steroid egg when you make an account here, most of us have plenty of knowledge and know how without this site, and it is up to us to bring it to the table and share with everyone else.
This is my 2 cents, I'm sure the MODs will do a good job of fixing this, so we can keep a good thing going here!
great idea
I really like that idea.
And I totally get where we all get a little too consumed by karma. I almost feel guilty sometimes when I get it these days. It really shouldn't be that way but it is. I like Nitti's description of what karma actual means on eroids , an EXP tag don't make me an expert on AAS or even Eroids, it just means I have been active on Eroids. Nothing more. All that being said I think most people here also wear there karma like a badge of honor, especially if your points were not through shady methods. It is completely ridiculous of course but it is the way people feel.
