Starting TRT with Primo

ad

Has anyone had experience starting trtwith Primo? I am on weightloss journet with reta, down to 235 Lbs from 268. I dsicovered my test is the low end of normal at best, but not diagnosed. I got TRT from telehealth. I have not started yet, but after a lot of research I feel I would like to have some primo on hand to bring a bit of control into any aromatizing i may do as a fat user, and just in general. I would not want to get an AI if I was, I do not want libido hits, and feel Primo will really keep this in check in general, but especially if any problems. Let me know if my line of thinking is wrong, or if this is overthinking for just trt doses. I would be starting at 160 mg 3x a week. Sprry for such a newb question.

Make sure to have aromasin on hand and just use that to control any potential e2 issues while you get familiar with testosterone. That is what I did and its quite easy to manage when you know what to look for as far as high e2 symptoms. Dry skin, achy joints, "flushing" under the skin when touching it, mood swings, itchy nipples etc. You'll get to experience some of them and manage accordingly. But don't be scared of using an AI like Aromasin, its fine

I am in the process of switching over to using Primo instead of Aromasin now and I'm glad I got to experience what I did with high e2 symptoms, it was a huge learning experience and now I catch the milder symptoms quickly and can deal with them before my mood starts to go real bad.

I think you’re overthinking it a little.

At true TRT doses, I’d start the testosterone by itself and see how you respond before adding anything else. A lot of guys assume they’re going to have estrogen issues and start planning AIs, Primo, caber, etc. before they’ve even taken their first shot.

You’re also actively losing weight, which will likely reduce aromatization over time.

The problem with starting TRT and Primo together is that if you feel great, feel terrible, have high E2, low E2, libido issues, or anything else, you won’t know which compound is responsible.

Get on the TRT, give it 8-12 weeks, pull bloods, see how you feel, then make decisions based on data instead of assumptions.

Also, 160 mg/week isn’t exactly a tiny TRT dose. Plenty of guys do very well on less than that, so I definitely wouldn’t assume you’ll need estrogen management before you’ve even started.

Congrats on dropping from 268 to 235. I’d stay focused on the fat loss because that will probably have a bigger impact on your hormones and health than adding Primo right now.

Thanks a ton for the detailed response man. I will start the trt dose. I have had labs all 3 months I have been on Reta, so am ready to check on those levels. I am an extremley good candidate there, as all my lipids and meabolic panel are in range insanely for an obese man (thank you reta losting weight) ewithin 10 days.
My trt clinic is mid level telehealth with me not minding doing the work, and them able to prescribe a good deal, but their monitoring is not terrible, but not what they are known for.
I love the advice, I am most worried about teh jump and something like Gyno if I aromatize nutty, and having primo to balance it without an AI.
Thanks a ton, this has helped, and I think I am more in my head about sides at just trt doses.
