Why are so many of the pictures posted sideways?

ad

Is this a power move I still have to learn? And not just sideways, but 99% of the time turned to the left, not the right. I feel like I'm missing something.

It's because when the picture is uploaded through the site it strips the Meta data on certain phones that dictates how it should display, to fix this you need to open it in an image manipulation program such as 'Gimp' LMAO and open the image and then save it again. It will now upload and display correctly Daniel Son.

You can take your pics horizontal on the phone and it works, or you can crop your pics, or you can take a screenshot and all will fix it.

So this trick works every time. Take your pic then screenshot the pic and use the screenshot pic

That's what I have to do to get a straight picture

A good habit to use to erase the geo-tracking. Used to do it overseas all the time

It also obscures when the picture was taken

I have been doing this, but more so to meet the file size limit

Will also only accept pics below a certain size. Whenever I post a TD pic, I take it from every angle, up close, further away, phone turned right, left, center. Then, I begin uploading until one fits. Lol
I've heard other guys just crop it out rotate it. I've had no such luck with that. So now, I'll snap like 6 or 7 and one of them fits.

Like the guy above said, I found taking a screenshot of the pic works every time

The upside-down photos are an eroids epidemic. I've tried multiple attempts to fix my photos by resizing, taking of geo location, intentionally flipping the photo to correct itself, etc. If you figure it out, please share the knowledge with us

So you're saying the photo is the correct orientation on your phone?

You need to take the picture horizontally, and not vertically.

Actually I think with my next TD I'm going to put the stuff on the floor and then just lie down on my side to take the pic

Well then wouldn't the image be turned to the right after it gets posted? lol idk why, but thinking about this hurts my head.
