ad

Okay, So no Doubt this post is Generate some REAL Hate fuelled Anti Covid Vaccine Backlash!!! LMAO

Because I Hate getting Covid with a passion, and when I do it hits me in the lungs particularly badly - I will do anything possible not to come down with it Smile It also does my head in not being able to eat anything for a week followed by coughing and gagging up mucus for another 10 days.

Missing out on 2.5 weeks of Training each time also does me cannister in - So I have just paid £85 for a Jab (I believe its $140 in the US if you want it).

I am not expecting many to reply YES to this poll - But am still interested as to who has got it anyway.

Remember to click 'Vote' so your vote gets counted in the titty tally

So, I clicked yes that I got it, but it was paid for by insurance

I have never heard of paying to get the vaccine, it's been free for me for every booster I've gotten. I am immuncompromised, and it trust UGLs to provide me with safe gear, so naturally I personally trust science with vaccines. I don't personally get sides from vaccines aside from soreness. On top of that, anabolic steroids absolutely do compromise the immune system, especially at supraphysiological doses. I understand everyone absolutely has different opinions, and I respect everyone's right to have such. But personally for me, I'll continue to get vaccinated for whatever I can to try and keep myself healthy.

press1's picture

If you are in the UK mate then yes you can still get it for free if you are immunocompromised, over 75 or live in a care home. Those are the only people who quality for it for free now.

What would be interesting to know is if running TRT still compromises your immune system, or if its purely cycling and stacking at higher levels. When I think back over the years now, I have definitely been more ill than when I never used Gear - even when I was an alcoholic and never had any kind of hand hygiene or washed them I caught less viruses and illnesses, makes ya think lol.

iamorme's picture

That's crazy, but I can't say I don't see why. It cost an unfathomable amount of money to develop the vaccines. Fortunately I've been eligible for 5 of them in total (initial 2, + 3 boosters.) I know I'm paranoid, but rather that than dead.

As for TRT, I'd be interested as well to learn more about that as well. From what I've read, it seems TRT (true TRT doses) can actually improve immune response. But I'm sure it's dependent on the person. So it's certainly bound to be case by case. I've been fortunate enough that I've never been ill on cycle, and I dread the day I am. Nonetheless, I will now fixate on learning about this, haha!

Originally, my job forced all of us to get it. Traveling a lot by plane and doing hospital and resort/hotel construction/remodeling. The gov threatened us by saying you can’t fly if you don’t have it. Load of bs - that shit was never enforced ever in any country or state I went to. And it was a lot. I fly for work 3-5 times a month.

So I got the jab 3 times in the first 2-3 years. Never got covid, never got sides from the shot, working in hospitals and flying all over the world.

I get my flu shot every year. Mandatory to work in hospitals. I’m not a medical professional but my day job brings me into healthcare settings and they require frequent visitors to be vaccinated for the flu only. If that doesn’t tell you something about the covid vaccine I don’t know what to tell you.

A FEW INTERESTING THINGS FROM GOOGLE A.I:

Yes, anabolic steroids can affect the immune system, and the effects vary depending on the specific type, dosage, and duration of use.

The primary impact of anabolic steroids (AAS) is often an immunosuppressive effect, which can increase the risk and severity of infections.

How Anabolic Steroids Affect the Immune System

Immunosuppression: Many studies indicate that supraphysiologic (above therapeutic) doses of AAS can reduce immune function, including decreasing antibody formation and the number and function of T and B lymphocytes.

Increased Infection Risk: This dampening of the immune response makes users more susceptible to various infections. A 2022 study linked current anabolic steroid use to a nearly five times greater chance of contracting COVID-19 and increased disease severity.

Inflammation Modulation: Anabolic steroids can influence cytokine production (proteins that regulate immune cell communication). Some AAS types can enhance pro-inflammatory cytokines, while others inhibit anti-inflammatory ones, leading to complex and sometimes contradictory effects on the body's inflammatory response.

I was forced to get it serving in the Marine Corps and was threatened I would get dishonorably discharged if I refused it. I caught covid before getting the vaccine and I've caught it after getting the vaccine. I do not get my annual covid vaccine, but I do get my annual flu vaccine though. I definitely agree with you though brother, that covid sickness is a different breed. Shit blows

No jab for me this year or ever ! However I do respect those who elect to get the jab for whatever reason they decide. I was fortunate not to have it mandated by my job or for health reasons.
But truthfully, do you guys/gals feel thsy the virus itself had degraded, for.the most part, to a mild cold ? Last time I had it my sides were minimal for some. Now with what press1 explained with his sides I am assuming h that some still get slammed with the vid.

press1's picture

When I had it this April gone - it was the worst of all the times I have had it. Sore throat, fever lasting days, horrendous lung inflammation etc. TBH the way things are currently over here - FLU is the biggest problem we have right now. Many people in my building currently have it and all the Hospitals are recording the highest rates seen in decades I believe. Luckily I got that Jab also LOL I'm fully jabbed up Lol

CHIMAIRA75's picture

Not only did I NOT get the jab this year. I've never received even the first one. I'm cool with that. Got sick a few times, and all of a sudden I was impervious to it. I will absolutely jab myself with plenty of ugl. Crazy that I feel safer with ugl, than I do government somewhat mandated shots? They tried to pay me several times to get the shot but nah, I'm cool on that. I'd rather take my chances naturally than trust anything the gov has in store for me. They don't have my best interest at heart. That's a fact!

Will never get covid vac again. Got it twice when it first came out and still got covid twice. I do get flu shot and pneumonia vac every year.

Big Paul's picture

Don't think I know anybody that got the vaccine that didn't get Covid including myself.

I know a few people and family that didn't get the vaccine and have never got Covid.

Got the vaccine out of fear when it first came around. Never get it again.

Tbh. Flu jab as well, like you says, why fuck yourself up and miss out on training.
Same as a few have said, I got covid after the jabs as well but I want to believe the jab made it more tolerable Blum 3 copism?

press1's picture

Woah so you got the Jab also this year? Smile

Exactly mate - if there is something you can get that will potentially stop you missing out on a load of training time then why not? I did manage to do a session going into the second week of having the virus before but I was so weak there wasn't really any point in doing it, I also felt worse the next day.

Gannen60's picture

I got it through my work they paid for it for anyone who wants it.
2023 in the north east a lot of guys got sick ( various illnesses 2 of the older guys that smoke were hospitalised.
During the winter we grit the roads and can’t really afford to have the work force downed so they started offering the pins to mitigate down time.

I think I was 1/1 that opted for it though tbh haha

Family friend caught COVID after 2 jabs (he was in his 80s) I drove him to hospital no face mask or anything and was around him for hours he died I never even got a symptom. I never wore a mask, carried on working and ignoring the rules, no jabs and nothing happened to me - also the same for majority or my friends and family. COVID only seems to affect those who believe in it.

Charo12356's picture

Didn’t want the vaccine at first. So for the first 8 months I skipped it and I didnt get Covid once. Then I wanted to travel so I got it. proceeded to get Covid 4 times after the jab. For me it was completely useless and I definitely won’t be wasting my time again

Same, I never got it until I got the vax.

UncleYoked's picture

I was forced to get it due to my day job.
I caught Covid as soon as it came out, then got it again after the jab and again after that.
Jab did nothing for me.

To anyone who keeps saying the Vaccines increase risk of Blood clotting - Here are the current FACTS:

The primary vaccines currently used in the US and UK (Pfizer and Moderna, which are mRNA vaccines) have not been linked to an increased risk of blood clots.

Here is a breakdown of the facts regarding COVID-19 vaccines and blood clotting:

mRNA Vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna): The vaccines used in current seasonal booster programs have not been associated with the rare blood-clotting condition that raised public concern earlier in the pandemic.

AstraZeneca and Janssen Vaccines: A very rare condition involving blood clots and low platelet counts (known as Vaccine-induced immune thrombocytopenia and thrombosis, or VITT/TTS) was identified as a potential side effect of some adenovirus-based vaccines, specifically the first dose of the AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccines. These vaccines are generally no longer in use in the UK or the US.

Risk from COVID-19 Infection: The risk of developing serious blood clots is significantly higher from an actual COVID-19 infection than from any of the vaccines. The vaccine provides protection against the more severe outcomes of the virus, including infection-associated blood clots.

Bigstevety's picture

Do you trust the government in regards to anything else thinking they have your best interests at heart?

Bigred_152's picture

The fact that it coagulates your blood, no fucking thanks bruh. Already running EQ to help me out there lmao. Not too mention, everyone who has gotten every shot and booster still somehow ends up getting it lmao, yeah I'm good. Good luck.

Of Course Yes - An 87 year old all of a sudden getting cancer and dying, what else could of caused it at that age - HAS to be the Covid Vaccine doesn't it!!! I mean there is nothing else during his 87 years of age that he could of ate, drank, breathed in etc that would of made that happen LMAO From now on - I think we should ALL just assume anyone that dies who has had the vaccine should have known better .....

RobertB80's picture

I think there are lots of deaths attributed to both Covid and the vaccine that are dubious. Very elderly, sick people, alongside probability. We all die. Young, seemingly fit people, professional athletes and sports players have died from unknown conditions. I don’t think the vaccine should have been mandatory. There is a lot of conspiracy and misinformation on both sides of this but ultimately, nobody should be forced to vaccinate themselves or their children. If people get ill after that’s their prerogative either from getting vaccinated or not.

I caught the original covid variant in early 2020. Got loss of taste/smell but was generally fine otherwise. Still good enough to train and do P90X while under quarantine. Taste/smell started coming back after 1 week. Then despite me having caught it and gotten over it (natural immunity), my employer all but forced us to get the vaccine. I did the 2-part pfizer vaccine. Part 1 was fine no issues. Part 2 wrecked my shit. Fever, vomiting, chills...way worse than anything actual covid did to me.

So I'm good. No more of that nonsense. I do methylene blue, NMNH, and high dose vitamin C during respiratory season to fight it off that way.

LukeNukem's picture

Ironically, shit itself smelled different after that. Most other Things smelled the same.

BillyBear's picture

So mRNA vaccines have been around for a long time, just never pushed like the government did with Covid. There are side effects for sure, including death, but I’m not surprised we saw that given how many people got the shot due to mandates.
That being side I haven’t had a Covid booster in a long time. I do get the flu and generally suggest most vaccines.

SeeOhShow's picture

Why would you pay for it? Do yall gotta pay for vaccines over there? Like the flu shot…yall pay for that?

press1's picture

If you have a prescription for certain illness's from the Doctor such as High BP then it automatically gets you free Jabs such as Flu etc and use to qualify for Covid too so I use to get both of em for nothing (even though the script is effectively for Steroid related high BP Lmao) but the last few months they have now said only over 75's and people on immunosuppressants can have it. So yeah now the bastards are charging for it if you want it - its meant 12 million people are now not entitled to it. Our New Government are shit pal - they are hiking TAX rates also on every little thing. Millions of UK residents are quitting the UK and moving to Dubai, Australia etc. We are becoming like the US LOL Soon we will lose the NHS too at this rate!!!

SeeOhShow's picture

I got my flu shot this year at Publix (grocery store here in the US) and they gave me a $10 gift card lol.

press1's picture

No wayyy!!!! So they pay YOU to get it done over there?? Lol
