+ 48 Kidney & Liver Supplements list

ad

I thought it would be helpful to both New guy's and established members to have a list of Health supplements that are easy to view all on one page that help the Liver & Kidney's and the best dose to take them at for this purpose. As someone who has had extremely high Liver values in the past from Not taking supplements while on gear - as I simply thought they didn't really do much, I can honestly say they will make a huge difference between feeling well and healthy on cycle or possibly ending up in the ER like I did with crippling stomach pains.

Its often stressed that maintaining a Healthy Liver is the most important thing while on cycle especially if you like your orals or Toxic oils such as Trenbolone, BUT equally if not more important is also running a healthy set of Kidneys as if these start to decline its a spiralling path of no return generally as they cannot regenerate and repair themselves like the liver can - I have seen cases where people have managed to get their Kidney filtration rates (GFR) back up from dire levels and Creatinine levels down unfortunately you can never fully restore them back to original health unless you get a Kidney transplant. Never think this won't happen to me either as I have seen many stories of guys ending up on Dialysis machines because of years of High Blood Pressure, never ending trenbolone cycles, High blood sugar resulting in Diabetes and not drinking enough to keep the kidneys flushed and hydrated.

It can be very easy to get into taking supplements to counteract the toxic sides of steroids, and then end up taking so many different ones that you can forget to keep buying or taking the original ones that you started out on which are often the most effective ones so I thought having this list makes it easy to have a check on. Hope this helps someone out there Smile If there are some that I have missed please feel free to add them in the comments and I will add to the list.

Here's a Very interesting Article I have recently come across about how L Glutamine significantly decreases Acute kidney damage and increases Kidney function (eGFR) - Something that everyone running Anabolic Steroids should have an interest in. We already know how important Glutamine is for helping the gut and digestion system when on gear and now it seems it helps kidneys too!

Here is another study showing just how important Glutamine supplementation is in regards to your own Glutathione production and how well it protects the Liver against injury in a Chemotherapy based study:

Copped a couple kilos!!! Astragalus extract powder is literally pennies on the dollar compared to buying capsules. Just going to measure out 5g a night and wash it down. Probably do the BCAAs in the morning just in case they do have any other benefits besides liver regeneration.

Yeah dude, after getting my bloods back and seeing that I’m healthy even after putting my organs through a hypothetical mosh pit at the heaviest death metal bands concert, I’m sold on Tudca and astragalus extract. I’m taking vitamin D and a little milk thistle too, but I think the formers are the heavy hitters here. I have my homies convinced and ordering this stuff too. Shit, I’m about to make my own proprietary blend on sell them myself!

lol and yes, Trump apparently has been shot. I question everything and currently having a ball on FB with people who are outraged that I would question if this was political gain. People are freaking out and assuming my party affiliation just because I said “what if it was for publicity?” We can talk about that in DM though, let’s keep this golden organ protection master list clear of political and other muddy BS. Thanks again, @press1! I truly think the list has kept me from shaving off years from my life.

You know thats not such a bad idea mate - releasing a supplement line specifically aimed at reducing the dangerous side effects of AAS, but really hammer home on the marketing side that ALL of the ingredients are in the effective dosages required to keep you healthy. If you could get some good prominent marketing behind it then it would be a winner! Initial Investment and backing would be the main hurdle then once it becomes well known it would do well.

You could also aim it at people who have to take a lot of medications daily that can be dangerous to organs, Big disclaimer on there though to check with their Doctor first that there are no adverse risks to using it alongside their meds LOL

Only problem is the astragalus extract alone is 5g and even when I was taking it capsuled, I had to take 8 capsules a night. After adding Tudca and other stuff it’ll need to be 12 caps a day lol.

I’m down on the Hawthorn Berry for about 2 years now. Typically just one per day in the AM for its cardiovascular benefits. Great to see it also has positive effects in the kidneys!

Yo @press1 have you looked into chanca piedra for kidney support? It’s AKA stone breaker because it’s been shown to break up and/or make kidney stones smaller. Supposed to be good for the liver as well.

Side note: I have been taking 1000mg Tudca, 250mg milk thistle, and 4g astralagus root extract for the last month. Getting bloods tomorrow. Hoping my kidneys and liver aren’t dust.

I've never actually heard of it mate but will have a look! Should be interesting to see where your levels are on those, I am excited to see. What have you been running whilst using them?

Test, NPP, and low dose tren. Only 150mg tren weekly. I ran Anavar for quite some time a few months ago so I’m curious to see where I’m at. I’m sitting on a cycle of tbol that I’m itching to run but my liver enzymes have been quite elevated at times from orals and poor diet, so I’m praying I’m doing okay right now. I will keep you updated for sure!

@Patshiv7 here’s the golden list for organ support.

Sackbird's picture

@press1 do you think one serving of this will suffice since it’s an extract? Allegedly equals 15 grams.

In a promo × 1
press1's picture

Anything that is quoted above mate or indeed any advice online is always meant to be taken as an EXTRACT value, this is where supplement companies try to act sneaky and impress ya you see by saying its 15g on the front per serving, but in fact in terms of extract which is the value that matters its 500mg in reality. So buddy it means you need to take 8 of those capsules per day to get 4 grams worth. This is why I always buy Astragalus and Milk Thistle in powder form as its much easier to decant into a drink rather than taking a number of capsules. It should work though if you twist open the capsules and empty the powder into a drink or protein shake. Companies do the same thing with Milk Thistle where it will say 5000mg per capsule, look on the back and where they have to legally declare what that is in extract it will be something like 200mg lol

In a promo × 1
Sackbird's picture

Brotherfu*ker I was hoping that wasn’t the case lol. There was another bottle that was 20:1 extract but I think it said it was only equal 5000mg which this math ain’t mathin, but whatever. I can take 8 capsules, I don’t mind it. Think I should take all at once or split morning and night?

I just take 4g's all in one go mate in the evening, in there is also Grape seed extract, Pine Bark extract, Curcumin 95% and Cranberry extract. You can literally watch your eGFR go up on that lot next time you get bloods done lol

Awesome, thank you. I wasn’t sure if they were ranked or just all put on the list randomly. I wanted to at least grab something because I’ve always been good with Tudca/milk thistle but sort of neglected kidney supplements.

Hey I see dosage for NAC. I took your suggestion and bought glutamine and glycine but how much of those two should I be taking for the increase in glutathione? Also do I have to take them at the same time?

press1's picture

When I take Glutamine I always use 10g per day, I feel that is a good dose daily. Then in the same drink I put the NAC and Casein Hydrolysate and Collagen Peptides (Collagen contains a lot of Glycine) so I just assume all those in one sitting will work together. I would take them together so they all digest at the same time bud, not sure on the dose of Glycine but just take the typical serving size listed on the packet.

Why take NAC and not just inject Glutathione?

ForeverFitBod1's picture

Questions are good. You're on the right track. This is a very valuable posting by press1. I'm glad to see you visiting here

When some hit a stall, they tend to use more gear. Keeping the liver in tip top shape, will allow you to process and make use of the compounds more efficiently. This is key to keeping a healthy balance without taking a further toll on your body or wallet. The NAC will "also" help in the respiratory department. Getting a good night's sleep consistently, with proper oxygen intake. Can do more good than one thinks

Kind of like keeping your car tuned up so you don't get shitty gas mileage

Impressive work yet again my friend, the combination of those three and the inclusion of ala, I found to be the most powerful combination for their synergistic effect.

Went to go buy ALA and there is ALA and RALA options. Looks like the study references RALA, right?

Yeh bud I keep hearing about how good ALA is in terms of an antioxidant - I had a big bag of the stuff which I ordered by mistake instead of DAA Lol So I threw it all out but now wish I kept it.

Yes. But can injecting be more beneficial for liver protection vs what your body can produce with NAC?

In a promo × 1

Glutathione is $90 for 200mg vial. Injecting an optimal amount would be very very expensive --

press1's picture

I've never run injectable Glutathione so can't comment on it personally, to me though injecting more oil on top of steroids seems a bit crazy when they are so many other options that can be swallowed or put into a drink. I already use Glutamine ED and NAC along with a host of other things so its just not something I would buy. Not seen any studies or bloods on it to see how effective it is either.

I'd still say TUDCA is the most effective Liver supplement there is.

What are the BCAAs for? Specifically organ support? I’ve found that most research says they’re quite ineffective in terms of protein synthesis/muscle building but have a positive effect on liver, kidney, spleen & heart health - with the liver benefiting the most.

press1's picture

I put this comment up but it has been moved to the 2nd page now - you responded to it too buddy!! lol

I have read in the past that BCAA's can help the Liver but never really took much notice, recently I have just come across how good they are again:

BCAAs were reported to stimulate the production of hepatocyte growth factor[13]. Taken together, these findings indicate that supplementation with BCAAs, by reducing hepatocyte apoptosis and promoting liver regeneration, may result in rapid recovery from liver injury. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov)

BCAA treatment induced the activity of AMPK which downregulated lipogenesis-related enzymes such as fatty-acid synthase (FAS) and acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), and improved fat accumulation in the liver. (www.nature.com)

The results of BCAA supplementation were quite dramatic. Blood levels of a liver enzyme called AST, which rises as liver damage intensifies, were an average of 22% lower for the group given BCAAs than for the control group. And levels of the CTGF protein, a marker of liver scarring, were an average of 75% higher in the control group. (www.aminoco.com)

I just love this post by press so I'm going to revisit it, I really really like a product called N2guard for organ protection. If you ever plan to dance with the devil, I would suggest some cardarine (tren support)

Correct. Also you know that feeling, sometimes you get that you climbed a mountain although it was just a staircase while on tren?

It greatly helps to alleviate that. Try it. I apologize for a late reply

Hello my friend,

Nice post !

About N-Acetyl-Cystein it's better to take this on empty stomach and 600 / 750mg twice day are great (but the effect a more better in I.V)

About Milk Thistle, lot brand sell underdosed stuff, you need to have a good ratio alkaloids (70-80% Silymarin & 20-30% Silybin) and depend the results of some study the posologie are around 1G to 1,5G daily minimum (around 350mg 3 x daily).

Milk thistle are well used with other natural compound as :
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus)
Boldo (Peumus boldus)
Fumaria (Fumaria officinalis)
Yellow gentian (Gentiana lutea)
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)

The quality of the supplement food are VERY important.

Thanks for the list of the compound to help Liver & Kidney <3

Take Care my friend ! (^_^)

Great post!

for liver I'm a fan of #8, #9, #17. Tried true and tested. Personally I also take magnesium citrate and i3c. Especially if I'm doing any light drinking during that time. I3c and dim control my estro also

Kidney definitely #1, but I believe twice the water intake than the recommended really does help over anything.

Excellent invaluable info I live for this stuff. Choline is great, I don't need to be a slave to caffeine coffee or soda. It will give you that crisp clear clarity and focus, did I mention the energy? Definitely underrated. It also tremendously helps balance out the effects of cabergoline, for those impulse driven types. And I think this would be useful to add to the forum that another great compliment to NAC is theanine. It's a derivative of black tea. I'll take a 200 mg in the morning and then another one midday. Keeps me calm cool collected, happy. Oh and DIM. I love it. But that one I had to ramp up starting at 100 mg. Now I'm at 300 mg ed. I really do like that one. But not at first I started it way too high and I had some serious detoxification going on and headaches. My pee was so dark for like a month straight, After lowering the dose and ramping up I'm glad I stuck with it. I'd like to see it pushed for gyno control more often though same with i3c. But I do understand everybody's body is different. The funny thing is when my pee cleaned up I must have been urinating crystal clear for like a month then that kind of leveled out to a light yellow.

NaC is great also, many benefits. I prioritize my rest recovery and what good would it all be without proper oxygen. This one is a must. Actually everything you listed is really great to fight oxidative stress. But I will only run the NAC in 6 months cycles then take two off. I've learned to make the investment into certain supplements that I particularly need for proper balance in order to enjoy a good quality of life.
