Underactive thyroid.
ad
Just got my blood work results. My Dr says I have an underactive thyroid (I can't remember the number but when she emails the results I'll update). Anyway, couple months ago it was "borderline" and now it's officially needing treatment. She prescribed me Liothyronine.
Anyone ever take that? Or know what I can expect from it?
I feel completely fine so I'm not sure why I'm even needing to treat it.

Before going to prescription route I always try to address any root causes. It will be best to rule out in iodine deficiency. If your doctor won't cover it just pay out of pocket it's like 50 bucks last I remember.
Trace elements are huge when it comes to thyroid function, zinc, selenium etc...
Some people can make that condition worse by unknowingly supplementing selenium while having an iodine deficiency. Not good. It's best to get those levels up to par then incorporate selenium as they both work hand in hand for proper thyroid function and balance.
As you probably know seaweed is one of the best sources of iodine. Brazil nuts are an excellent source of selenium. I eat three per day my wife eats two. The best way to cover all of the bases and bring things into a nice balance of Trace elements is to consume beef liver. You can get it now in dry capsules, I once had a zinc and copper imbalance, which I had to correct to resolve a few issues. The importance of trace minerals is huge when it comes to overall health and preventing disease.
Might want to look into some of that good luck
My partner has the same issue, uncommon for males I thought -
Something you're not telling us?
About my gaping pussy? Thought I mentioned that...
Feel like posting up some photos of it might help us diagnose this issue further -
Fatigue, feeling cold, dry skin, hair loss? No symptoms?
Nothing wrong with taking the treatment though, if it puts your level in a healthy range you might notice some difference you never even knew due to having it outside range for such a long period it becoming normality?
Ya. I mean I'll give it a go. Only thing that sucks is I gotta take it on an empty stomach and wait 30 mins to eat. Maybe it will make me swole AF who knows. I'll report back.
I mean are ur bf levels high?
No. I mean not stepping on a fuckin stage low but 17%. I dunno if that's high enough to break my thyroid. I hope not. I'm kinda happy with my dad bod.
Na that’s not high at all. Yea I have no clue lol, sometimes readings are off for so many reasons
Fuck it. More drugs it is.
What are you on? There is some Gear that can affect Thyroid levels.
At the time of test:
200 test/week
100mcg igf1-lr3 daily
3mg reta/week
500mcg HCG/week
Cialis whenever.
Also worth noting that my thyroid levels have been getting worse and worse, starting from when I wasn't on ANYTHING. so while the gear might be affecting my levels to a degree it wouldn't explain the full scope of it. I'm inclined to believe it's a legitimate problem, but I dont know what to expect from the treatment.
If I was a betting man, it's the igf1-lr3 that is reducing your TSH
Hmmm. Im gonna do some digging on that.
