+ 1 Semaglutide, Tirzepatide or Retrutide?
I’ve been reading up on semaglutide, tirzepatide and retrutide, and I’ve been trying to decide/figure out which of the three would be the best to use if you’re on a budget. From what I’ve read, retru has shown better results than the other two, but the doses you have to take on retru and tirze are pretty high. They’re also more expensive than sema. Sema, according to studies, has shown the least amount of weight loss, but you take so much less than the other two. Sema maxes out around 1-2mg, where as the other two max at around 12-15mg. Even though sema in the studies showed less weight loss, it didn’t seem to be that much less than the other two. I do know retru and tirze both have more to them besides just targeting GLP-1 receptors. In anyone’s opinion, do you think that either tirze or retru are that much better than sema that it’s worth the very high price that they cost vs semas pricing that is already lower than both of the others, and will last a lot longer because the max dose is a lot less?
Thanks for any advice!

I started using tirzepatide in May 2025 weighing 103kg and using 3.5mg per week in two doses (mon, thur), within 8 weeks I'm down to 93kg with a significant amount of fat loss and slight muscle loss.
After finding a much cheaper option I have now been using semaglutide for 2 weeks at the started dose of 0.25mg per week but weight has maintained and appetite suppression isn't as good as the tirzepatide on that dose so will be at 0.5mg this week.
it seems to be that Tirzepatide has the strongest appetite suppression, whereas for retrutide being a triple agonist is extremely effective at enhancing the body's metabolism, as well as sugar and fat utilization. Only limited retrutide studies are present right now, so it should be exciting to see.
I can only speak from experience on sema and reta, but I think it depends on your goals and what you are going for because for me they have had a much different effect.
I started with sema and I think that was perfect for me, sema has a much stronger appetite suppression factor but the margin for play before hitting side effects is much smaller. I physically could not eat at times on sema, this was good to force a big deficit in the start of my journey.
I got to a point where I needed to slow down the weight loss to prevent Ozempic face and too much muscle loss. I switched to reta. I know the max dose on reta is shown pretty high but it seems that a lot of people have had positive results with lower doses. I'm on 3.2-4.5mg a week, I've had very few side effects on reta. What I like about reta is that I can eat without ever really feeling physically unable to but I have an edge of control. So, it really seems to allow me to hit my macros.
Low dosed Reta is amazing 0.5-1mg e3d.
There’s a source on here does sema stupid cheap mate
Can you share who?
I made a comment in another thread where I disagree with alot of Big Pharmas recommended dosing. Start low. If you have progress keep it there. Why titrate up if you are still having progress. Sure Big Pharma says 4 weeks bump it up. But why? More isn't always better. In fact a few articles are now coming out saying low is the way to go.
I agree 100. My wife has been on sema for around a year and she’s still at .75mg per week
So many diffrent variables to look at. Reta is the newest on the market. SEMA is the original one and does what it needs to.
Quick points.
Reta targets the diffrent fats the best on the body better then tirz or SEMA.
Reta doesnt control hunger cravings as much as Tirz or sema. Meaning you will be still be hungry.
Tirz does kill cravings and has less side effects as SEMA
Tirz and sema target the same fats.
Sema is original, works likes tirz but has more side effects.
This is all based on so many diffrent studies and researching.
As far as dosage. Throw that out the window. Start small and only increase when needed, not when they suggest. If your loosing weight at the smallest dose, there is no need to increase.
Once you understand how they work, and how long they last in the body. You can actually stagger 2 diffrent ones
Shots are supposed to last a week but 5 days in they start to wear off. You can split the dose and do half Monday and half Thursday for the same one.
Example
Monday 1.25 tirz - Thursday 1.25 tirz =2.5 min dosage
Overlaps and hunger in control
Staggared
Monday 1-2 Tirz - Thursday 1-2 Reta = 3 small dose
Helps control hunger while other glp 1 helps to better target fat.
(More advanced method)
If you want more reading, online there are many other sources and even on reddit a page for woman explaining more in detail.
I help female friends get dialed in on these glps. Been doing this for 2 years now.
I think I found her threads on Reddit, great info! Could I message you?
Im into almost into my 4th week on Retatrutide.
I take 1mg x 2 per week.
4th week to week 8 I will take 2mg spilt 2 per week.
I started really low dose for rera and worked my weigh up.
Not really noticed sides other then the following
Hyper sensitivity in sides legs.
Huge increase in smell
Lol i have the same sensitivity on the side of legs. What about heart rate increase?
No, not really
I do take 50 Lozarten tabs though but my heart rate seems to stay the same this fair.
My smell is what has really been noticeable, I can smell my neighbor smoking 4 houses down from in my house. Haha
Im also down 5lbs
Sweet. Keep an eye on the heart but if your doing good, you will be fine going up the way you are. Like I said, breaking the dosages into at least 2, helps not get one big shot.
Yea I'm following your advice. Working well.
I was also going to order more stock from a different place but my mind tells me to stay with my current place.
You know best. If its working, I dont like messing with it.
Semaglutide is actually very effective if used correctly. My wife have been using it for the past year with great results. After giving birth there was about 40 pounds she couldn't get rid off. I practically tried everything with her and even though she was giving 100% of an effort, she could barely loose a pound or two. After a long research we decided to go with Semaglutide and it was the best decision for her. In one year she lost a little more than 40 pounds and she feels like herself once again. There's a few tricks to keep Semaglutide working and a few things to avoid.
First, people want to get results right away and jump the gun at 1mg right away. Big mistake. You will get sick and nauseous from such a dose and shorten the life of the compound in your body. You need to start at .25mg weekly for about 1 month, then go up to to .5mg for another month and so on. It will take a while for you to get to 2mg. Once you get to the 2mg if you see that after one month results are diminishing, go back to 1mg for a week, then to .5 for another week and stop completely for a month. Then you can start again with the process once again.
One thing, my wife just want to be thin. She doesn't care about muscle. I say this because if you're looking to build muscle while on Semaglutide it will be almost impossible. Just looking at food will make you wanna puke. It makes your brain think that you have a full stomach even if it's empty and building or keeping muscle without food is impossible. Also, I have noticed that the willingness and motivation for doing exercises also gets affected because your body is in a weak state. I would never use it because of the fact that I prefer to be in an anabolic state instead of a catabolic one, but for someone who just want to loose weight, like my wife, it was indeed a powerful tool.
I can see a use for it in a competition setting when you are 4-6 weeks out. But the amount of protein sparing compounds would need to be huge in order not to loose muscle tissue.
This is were Reta would come in. When they dont care about muscle its easy. As long as protein intake is there and excerise, its doable.
Sema especially will do that with food. Also these glp have a tendency to change certain food taste a little.
I personally would recommend Free&Gentle Tide. It’s powerful, hypoallergenic and free of dyes and perfumes
Bing!
You get me Patches
Tide Pods! Boy, I thought that Gronk dumb persona was just a thing for publicity, but after seeing the Tom Brady Roast ... well, you know... Tide Pods!!!!
With all the promos here and UGL, budget shouldnt be an issue anymore. Thats the benefit of UGL. I thought Sema was pretty cheap here working in a nursing home knowing what residents are paying for just the pens. And Jax i think is the best warrior out of them all
It’s so much more than a weight lose tool.
