So I don't have calipers to measure myself yet but could anyone maybe help me try to guess my body fat percentage?
I'm still really unhappy with my love handles but I feel like losing nearly twenty pounds has helped a lot.

Honestly I've never been in your situation so it's hard for me to give my opinion on your situation. But for what it's worth I would want body fat down a bit because estrogen does have a tendency to creep up more easily on someone with more body fat. But that's just my thought. @NWApatches makes a good point though
That's what I was thinking anyway, that's what a lot of people told me at first and even though it's tempting to just start I'm going to continue the cut and once I'm down some more weight go for it

I would like to think he’s saying go ahead and do your cycle, eat at either maintenance or very slight deficit, and hit the weights hard. Like a recomp situation. I’d hope he’s not suggesting you go full on bulk mode. I personally would not recommend that.

No not full bulk but don't continue to keep cutting more and more weight. The guy isn't horribly out of shape here but I can already see him 8 months from now and what that heavy iron is going to do to him. And @Shitsy43 brother I ran 100miligrams test c once a week for 9 months. I was 254# so bad out of shape wasn't funny. Got back in and pounded HEAVY WEIGHT and cleaned up my eating, dropped the partying and crazy shit and cracked back at 31 years old. Fuck the drugs, the heavy weight is going to do more for YOU than ANYTHING else
Good for you brother. And you know age definitely helped you. 31 is pretty much arguably a man's physical prime but some say about 40. In sports it's definitely not 40 lol. The older we get the harder it gets so guys better appreciate those prime years.

Oh you and I are absolutely on the same page on the heavy weight thing. But I do that whether I’m cutting or bulking. It’s a hard thing to tell someone over the internet though. Most people gotta train with someone who trains like that to understand what it really means to push yourself. Majority of people think failure is when they feel like quitting mentally because there’s a deep burn. Not many people truly know what real mechanical failure feels like.
He can do that now even at a slight deficit, like 1000 cals a week total deficit, and make solid gains. Especially with 500mgs. I cut on 140mg/week and can still manage minimal progressive overload. These drugs really can do wonders if you already have the mindset to train hard.

I have my own gym. My wife has sometimes texts me to ask if I’m ok because she can hear me verbally accosting myself to not be a bitch and grind another rep out. Then moaning in agony once the set is over. She gets worried I’ve hurt myself lol

You could run the cycle like a jumpstart recomp. At your current body fat, even in a slight deficit you could build a solid amount of muscle while cutting some fat with 500mg a week. More muscle underneath absolutely can give a look of being leaner. Fill out the frame better. Like more of a strongman body than bodybuilder body. End of the day it’s your personal goals that matter. This definitely won’t be your first cycle and if you want to use a cycle to help recomp that’s totally fine. Then take a break, cut some more, and cycle again to build some more muscle. Could have iterations of that and you can reach your goal. Would it be most ideal? Not necessarily, but who cares? Are you happy with the results is what matters.
Everyone I hear says a recomp is basically a waste and rarely works. Idk I've just been listening to the people who seem like they know things. Started off pretty ignorant and I know I still don't know too much I'm just worried about gaining fat if I start now. Everyone was saying that not being under 20% bf was just asking for estrogen and fat and that kinda spooked me lol
You might not gain any fat but estrogen issues will be nailed on guaranteed. Worse case scenario, bitch tits. Gyno is a look nobody wants and it's shows through clothing so not just a problem when topless.
Do the hard work now and in due course run a cycle.
But right now, train hard as possible with free weights and if you can manage a couple of fasted cardio workouts a week then all the batter.

That's what I'm going to do. My reason for posting this wasn't to be encouraged to start my cycle lol I was mostly just curious. But I want to lose another 10 to 15 lbs before I do my cycle. Maybe even twenty more.i am hitting the weights almost daily and walking every day and jogging 2-3 days a week. I want to do it right
My favorite cycle was a recomp. Started at 195, ended up around 190, and looked the best I’ve ever looked. Not saying you should do a recomp cycle. I’m just saying people make a lot of generalizations on these boards, but results will vary by individual based on a multitude of factors.
So diet dictates if you gain more fat. If you go full on bulk mode even with the enhanced nutrient partitioning then yes you’ll gain additional fat on top of what you have. If you monitor your diet well and don’t stay in hardcore cutting mode while having that much test in your system you absolutely can grow. Look at it this way. If you gain 10lbs of muscle and 2 lbs of fat during this cycle your bf% would actually go down, right? That’s how percentages work. You build up enough muscle under there then the increased metabolic demand all that muscle requires then makes future cuts easier.
This is what NWApatches is saying with the push the heavy weight and build your base stuff.
With that being said you have enough fuel stores that with a high protein diet, even in a very slight deficit, you could build muscle. If you build muscle over 12 weeks and maybe lose 1-2 lbs of fat during the process, is that not a recomp? Recomp doesn’t mean you go from 25% to jacked and shredded in one cycle.
And yes higher fat = higher aromatase = so more E2 conversion on cycle. That can be mitigated with AIs.

You never want to rely too much on AIs though. That's where decreased body fat would help a bit.
Brother heavy iron isn't going to make you fat. It's going to make you harder than fucking stone. No hit it fucking now. Starting tommorow you need to be taking in enough food and lifting fucking heavy. I'm talking heavy brother. And your last rep range for anything your doing hit 20-30 on a solid weight. If you've gotta rack it and take 10 seconds do that but get 20-30 on that last set. Know what I mean? I promise you listen to me now lift heavy weight. Everything, everyday, heavy weight.
