+ 2 Anyone wanna tell me what bf% I look like?

ad

So I don't have calipers to measure myself yet but could anyone maybe help me try to guess my body fat percentage?

I'm still really unhappy with my love handles but I feel like losing nearly twenty pounds has helped a lot.

Are you getting enough fat in your diet. I have found that if my fat content in my diet dips below 5% my body really holds onto fat and I can't lose it. I like to keep it around 20% in my diet now. When the body senses it is not getting much fat in the diet it seems to want to hold onto its fat stores for dear life. Seems weird I know, but eating more fat in my diet helps me to lose fat easier.

wanted's picture

My fats 90 to 100 grams. Ur thoughts on that number
I see the almond butter i didnt write down from my pre workout bowl

Makwa's picture

That would be enough I would think. 8-900 cals from fat should suffice. I have been as low as 20-30g and that throws the diet way off track with fat burning. Cut carbs before cutting fat.

JakeKO's picture

Please excuse my ignorance, but what do the numbers mean. I can always use a better diet plan.

wanted's picture

96 % lean ground beef
99% ground turkey
I didnt add the ounces of meat and the grams of cream of rice cause everyone needs a different amouth tonhit there macros.

Thanks! What kind of rice do you use? I switched to jasmine and feel that it doesn’t weigh me down like the long grain did. I can’t stand brown rice, rather skip a meal than eat that shit.

wanted's picture

I like jamine. No bloat or feeling overly stuffed
I used to do basmati but jasmine is my favorite

I figured your numbers were referencing fat content, I use 80% 20%. The fat is better for the system.

I honestly believe it would be helpful to many who are up in the air about a diet.
And i think even without asking. MOST need alittle help in the area

So it all depends on goals but for myself in particular I’ve had many food allergies so I stay away from food that makes me feel ill, no cakes or starchy products like pastas, rice etc. No alcohol or sugary drinks, just water with lemon.

So a typical bulk diet for me consists of

  1. 630 am- 6 eggs/3yolk avocado and a cup of oatmeal. Usually 2 hours before training.

  2. 10:30/11am Post workout meal (meal prepped) 8oz ground Turkey (or ground chicken/beef), 1.5 cup of squash and leafy vegetables “broccoli, spinach or asparagus.

  3. 2 pm Midday snack tuna packet with a whole avocado(I have to watch for mercury poisoning as I have a history with that) or optimum nutrition natural chocolate 24 grams per serving with water and a cup of oatmeal again. I’ve been told there’s a special place in hell for people who consume protein shakes using water.

  4. 5:30 pm I like my fish

Salmon with boiled potatoes seasoned with rosemary and two table spoons of olive oil, broccoli rabe.

Or

Bronzino With asparagus with garlic olive oil and sweet potato. I don’t weigh out my dinner, I have a fish market by my job and usually grab whatever is fresh.

930pm casein protein.

If I’m on a cycle, I gradually increase in 250 calories increments every 2 weeks. My cycles are longer, 16 weeks so once I reach that 1k limit I maintain that.

I usually snack on grapes, blueberries, strawberries or raspberries. Good antioxidants and low in sugar except grapes.

Cut diet

If I snack on fruit, it’s only berries.

6 eggs 3 yolks avocado

Post workout meal stays the same as a bulk along with midday snack

Dinner is usually the same but I cut my carb intake in half gradually until the final 3/5 weeks where I’m strictly carnivore. When that happens, I increase fatty meats and fishes to compensate for lack of carbohydrates.

I don’t eat pork.

I hit cardio minimum 2/3 times of week fasted of post workout cardio days

1-30 minute stairs slow pace
2- 1 mile run at 8mph followed by 10 minute walk at a high incline
3 15 interval sprints with 30 second walk, we used to call these suicides in school-

The cardio can be overkill but I do it for my mental state. There are guys that run 4 miles and don’t lose muscle, I lose it fast if I do it too much which is why I like high intensity for short periods. I also work a desk job so it’s imperative for me to get steps in.

Carnivore and fasting are good ways to detox and reset microbiome in the body. Carnivore includes No added flavoring or dyes to foods.

72 hour water fasting every 6 months to reset.
