I regret to inform you that Rusty has been banned from eroids and would like to extend my sympathies to those who considered Rusty a friend. His toxic attitude, coupled with his disrespect and inhospitable treatment of newcomers, has escalated to such an extent that he alone is damaging the reputation of this website.

Lifted-presence92I would always find is little disputes entertaining at first but he would always cross the line.
I told him many times to take a break, I had to take a few myself as I found myself getting ready to foam at the mouth as well. As I grow older I grow wiser and realize people are people. He made a lot of posts sometimes contradictory but we all have and some still do. When you start to take things personal and think impressing strangers on the internet becomes you then step away and get some fresh air out of the gym and your house.
I haven't been here too long but have made a few observations about his behavior.
The good: Advocated bloodwork regularly. Encouraged lower dosages albeit worded differently. Had made some helpful content creator posts over the years, sometimes info a bit dated or opinionated though. Overall wanted people to be responsible with steroid/PED usage which is good for harm reduction. "Drunk uncle who knows some things from experience but you can't always take him seriously" vibes.
The bad: Weaponized voting by downvoting your old posts if your downvoted him. Often rude to new users asking for help, gatekeeping makes people feel unwelcome. Policed others about "the rules" while breaking them himself. Lots of medical misinformation posts which I refused to engage with knowing it would not change his mind. Instigated confrontations in comments by looking for things to shit on people for, making interactions more hostile/personal than they needed to be. Generally unaccepting of opposing viewpoints, if he agreed with you it's all fine and dandy so you get an upvote, but if not then prepare for a negative rant of some sort which was often incomprehensible.
It's unfortunate that this was the way it had to go but if he was warned repeatedly and there was no change in behavior then so be it, you only get so many chances. Maybe the silver lining for him is that by stepping away from the site he'll realize how much negativity he was engaging in and be able to work on improving mental health.
This is very well written. One of my biggest issues with him was his dated ideas about the science of what we do and his refusal to acknowledge things may have evolved since he learned whatever it was he had learned in the past. Clicking on his avatar to read his old posts was his answer to almost everything, but his info is incomplete & outdated (in my opinion). It often seemed to me he was looking to be a valuable member here, but his method of bullying and demeaning people, especially if they were new, is low rent.

Nail on the head right there. I haven't been here long either, but how one operates here regarding how to interact with others shouldn't differ too much from real world scenario. Basic principles apply and treat others as you'd like to be treated etc. With that being said, given we are all on various PEDs/hormones, it's understandable we are all not always going to be in agreement and will sometimes butt heads. Keyword SOMETIMES, but to be negative and toxic MOST of, if not ALL the time...is a different matter altogether.

I hope he gets help with whatever he's dealing with. Steroids and bad mental health are a recipe for disaster.
I’ve been a member of this community for a long time and have Rusty as a mod, a solid contributor and friend to the community as well as a flawed human being as we all are. I know this site means a lot to him but maybe he’s going through some life challenges as some are suggesting that require professional assistance. I know he’s a married man and a father and I hope if this is the case, he receives the help he needs. He’s a villager of this website and I’m sure he can learn from this and I know most of the people who’ve debated with him were taking the of constructive criticism. Good luck Rusty, hope you come back better.

Never had any issues with him but I did notice that the whole Covid and vaccine subject did make him a different person. It made a lot of people different and not in a good way. It’s a shame because it’s over and done with. A distant memory. Life is good again.
mental illness or alcoholism or whatever his actual problem is shouldn’t be tolerated or socially accepted by any community…..and who gives a shit how this must be making him feel….how many people did he run down with his ignorance and intolerance I never had beef with him but absolutely couldn’t stand the way he conducted himself
Absolutely right my man. It's about principles and selfless advice to help our community not only grow but be better. I don't think we understood both of those attributes very well.
I also had my run-ins with Rusty that got out of control..
But we all need to learn to tolerate eachother and ousting people here and there should not be what this community is about.
Intolerance is weakness ... hopefully he will make it back one day a better man!

Intolerance isn't always weakness, just like tolerance isn't always weakness. There's always a fine line my man. Hope all is well with ya.
And it is not. Over the years Rusty has been warned, coached, banned, and stripped of karma. He was a longtime founding member and had a lot to offer. But there's a tipping point. A point where the negative outweighs the positive, where a cell becomes cancerous, where the immune becomes autoimmune.
Should we tolerate Rusty's intolerance of the newcomer? The inexperienced? His negativity spreads to others until we all start acting like him. The host (eroids) endured the cancerous cell for years trying all sorts of therapies. The host always went into remission for a short while, but the cancer always returned. After "14 years", it was time to have it surgically removed.
I don't believe I've ever had a negative encounter with him but I also try to be respectful and play nice to everyone. I have seen him get rough with some newbies who ask for advice and when they don't hear what they want they get pissy.

I’ve been reading ER for a long time, I just recently signed up; otherwise I wouldn’t have voted. I do personally think he had it coming.
In his defense, people do ask some stupid fucking questions that could easily be answered by searching. I get it, not everyone is used to forum technology, but asking how much test to use as a first cycle is so common, it deserves being talked down upon. Do some research, it’s not hard.
There's a difference between a little razzing, snark, and sarcasm, to outright cynicism, beratement, and intolerance.
I agree, I've never been a fan of talking down to people, even if they're idiots with the exception of people who truly had it coming.
i've always favored building a community that educates and guides rather than belittles and insults.

I’ve had my run ins with him. Got pretty hot a few times. I have to admit that in between the his snarky remarks, there was a lot of good information he put fourth. I recently took his advice on how to run Tren correctly, and I can’t even express how good it is working out, with little to no side effects, on the surface that is.
Overall, I think a serious warning and a week’s suspension would probably be a better punishment. I know that when I got suspended from eroids because of a clash with Rusty, I felt fucking lost, and all the other forums out there really suck. I don’t do any other form of social media, so I was pretty miserable. I can only imagine how he feels right now. It’s gotta really suck for him. It’s not like we can discuss any of this shit with our real friends. Shit, I don’t have much in common or even really like my real friends. All about how I can help them, no one does shit for me, so Eroids is my only outlet to discuss my interests with likeminded people who actually know what they’re talking about. Over the past few months, Rusty and I haven’t had any beef because I mind my business if it’s not directed at me.

To clarify, he wasn't banned because he got I a disagreement with me. He got banned because of his belligerence to others. Ending in that last post he made, and he ultimately took down.

I think he was a valuable member to the community, although he did go overboard sometimes, he was very knowledgeable and did contribute a lot of well written content to the site. I do hope he comes back with a more open persona but I also get where this is coming from.
There is a part of me that kind of feels bad. The dude loved the site and he lived it every day. He was quite helpful at times and a dick other times.
I do wish him well. I suppose he will be back under a different name but it won’t be the same for him.
Hopefully the adjustment will make for a positive change. In his own personal life. I don’t have any ill feelings for the guy.
