+ 1 Lean bulk/recomp cycle options

ad

For starters I'm 28, 5'10", 180lbs.
First cycle was 500mg test e ew for 12 weeks.
Second was 500mg test e ew for 16 weeks and 25mg anavar tapering to 50mg Ed for 10 weeks.
I want to do a 3rd cycle as I'm at the end of a bulk I've done, I have 2 options I'm debating.

1: 300mg test e ew and 300mg EQ ew for 20 weeks with 50mg anavar for the last 12 weeks.
Or
2: 300mg test e ew and 300mg EQ ew for 20 weeks with 50mg var the first and last 8 weeks with a 4 week break in-between.

Goals are to maybe lose a small body fat % and gain lean muscle but mainly want to gain without adding any body fat, will be cutting naturally for 3 wweks before i start anyways, also dont want the issue of any water retention, I will be following the same diet, on cycle and pct plan I did on my second cycle which was very successful but was more of a cut only.

All advise and research I've gotten is from the forums on here by people who have "pro" as a tag, almost all of then say to run eq for no less than 14 weeks and var no less than 8, not saying I know it all just been reading on here for months and that's what I've gathered but wanted to make my own post about it, thanks for the advice tho, wasn't trying to seem like a know it all

They might not be taking your age or health into consideration or asking any questions about you. Just giving blind advice based on their own experience. I’ve met some pros that are dumber than a bag of rocks. Not saying that about any here.

Just think of this. Friend of mine goes to compete at a big national show this year. Masters classic. Been competing for many years and surely looks the best condition wise he ever has. But, No one else shows up. Boom, wins pro card by default.

Now, this is a good man. Dedicated to the life and sure as shit trains his ass off. We don’t discuss gear much. But I know from my coach that he has run a LOT of it. Very large cycles. More in one cycle than I’ve run collectively in over a year ever. He has been cutting down over the years as he’s learned more. This isn’t a cut against him but I’m saying look at his trend. Less is more

Pro doesn’t mean you know everything or even that you necessarily won that competing against a lot of high quality men anymore. You could’ve just shown up that day. So you can’t just take knowledge from one person and apply it to yourself is what I’m saying.

Ah ok ya I get where you're coming from, I do like to play it safe which is why I overkill on on cycle supplements and vitamins lol, but what was suggested was 500mg test e and 600mg eq a week for 14 weeks, I cut the test and eq dose down by almost half because I see no need to take that large of a dose but that's just my opinion, I like longer cycles at a lower dose so I slowly gain and I keep most of the gains at the end, not trying to get huge, just increase strength gradually and endurance and if while doing all that I lose some bf % then cool but I'm not focusing on that aspect of it

Gain is more relative to training frequency and intensity alongside the rest required and food necessary to put you in a caloric surplus relative to energy expenditure, to promote anabolism. You could do all of it without AAS. They’re just a tool. Albeit very effective when you have the foundations covered.

I'm also not opposed to staying natural either, ive been natural bulking for 3 months now, if you know of any otc or natural supplements that would give that boost effect I'd be open to looking into them

Ya I trained for a year and a half to get down from 250 and about 20%bf to 145 and 6% bf but I was to small for my liking, my last cycle I was at 165 when I started and ended at about 175, now I really just wanna harder/dry up a little, I know they aren't a miracle or anything but it does help boost my strength and endurance to allow me to train harder and longer than I do normally, just wanting that boost and was told to try EQ but was told not to go below 14 weeks, personally I was gunna run another 12 week test e and var cycle and use var the last 8 weeks until I heard of EQ

I think you’re doing it backwards imo. You don’t need more gear to lose body fat or look “harder/dry up” that’s all sodium/water manipulation once you’re lean enough.

AAS imo are best utilized to gain lean tissue in a caloric surplus because that is hard to do once you’ve hit your natural limit. Which I can almost assure you based on your stats you probably have not. Keeping lean tissue while cutting is not difficult as long as you’re still weight training and keeping protein intake adequate and not starving yourself. It just requires the knowledge and patience and dedication to do so.

Anavar isn’t required. But can be a useful tool towards the end once you’ve done most of the work. Test levels only need to be slightly elevated imo, if that.

Honestly that's what I'm leaning towards, seems the better of the 2 to me, just wanted some opinions
