If you could no longer Train - What would you replace it with?

ad

If there was some reason whereby you were no longer able to train or lift weights, what would would you replace it with to fill the void?

I've sat and thought about this for quite some time and its difficult to come up with anything that comes close to the same feeling and experience of a good training session.

I think maybe Motor racing or clay shooting - not sure though.

I'm interested to hear what others would do :-)

If its something of strong interest to you I would highly recommend investing in a cheap electric guitar and amp for couple of hundred bucks, getting online and learning to read music tablature. I got my first when I was around 8 and had to learn to read bloody music books Lol but since then its become so much easier to learn and get good at. It can be frustrating at first trying to get your timing in with both picking and the fret board but once you have mastered a few basic riffs its one of the greatest feelings in the world. I'd self isolate myself and play for hours on end through my teenage years, you'll get a great amount of enjoyment and self satisfaction from it. And seriously - chicks love it. It probably attracts them more than going to the gym does LOL.

If you end up liking it you just upgrade your guitar and gear over time, effects pedals etc.

ever listen to Danzig? That dude was a beast. Always thought he was too big for a rocker.

That’s the plan tbh. Problem is it’s been the plan since I was young lol. Something more ‘important’ comes up, bills, kids, work etc etc.

What do you play and what gear ya got? Figured the Jackson Dinky js22 is a good buy, like the way it looks and sounds and it’s cheap. Again. Been on my list for a while lol.

I've got an Ibanez Jem with the Monkey grip in it Lol I use to be a Steve Vai fanatic but they aren't really in vogue anymore - and a Hughes & Kettner amp. Jackson are a great make - I had a black one as my second guitar! My first was a Charvel who I think then got bought out by Jackson. I'm not really up to date with all the gear anymore but there are all sorts of shapes and makes to choose from nowadays. You can literally record yourself on your laptop now too. There are online tutorials and all sorts on Youtube.
