Big Ramy and Neil Hill Y3T

ad

That’s an interesting move for Ramy as Neil seems to be the only guy Ramy has not worked with.
Neil keeps showing great improvements with their athletes lately.
Anyone thinks this move will work for Ramy or he’s going to end up back at Kuwait again??

Darkhorse777's picture

Hes farther from the olympia crown than ever his shoulders and legs are way out of proportion to the rest of his body if they are going more aesthetic than hes like the next markus ruhl just a freak not a mr olympia...if he can get symmetrical than we can talk about his crappy condition..hes got alot to work on

ashop's picture

Looking forward to see how this transpires. For show condition RAMY should contact Chad Nichols. He got a massive RONNIE COLEMAN onstage with paper thin skin numerous times.

dextetherdog's picture

That’s a good point

Think Rami has good potential with Neil Hill, only thing he really needs to listen to his trainer and follow the instructions

Dr.BroScience's picture

Are we supposed to beleive that it was Acetos' problem, or Farah, or Bodai"s, or any of the other multitude that have worked with him?

Ramy's issue is with Ramy.

There is an obvious lack of focus and resolve when it comes to his conditioning that stems from no other than himself.

Perhaps he has classic Bigorexia. Perhaps not. But the Ramy clearly has a Ramy issue. Not a "guru" problem.

From what history has proven so far, you could tell me today that Ramy signed on to train with Jesus Christ and I would not believe that he will come in diced , seperated, detailed, and hard as nails.

johnmarshall12's picture

Like others are saying Rami is too big and gawky looking. He needs to get better proportioned and conditioned.

dextetherdog's picture

Think Neil can do it?? Even Chris Aceto didn’t nail it

Dr.BroScience's picture

You mean, Ramy didnt nail it.

dextetherdog's picture

You’re right, I should have asked if Ramy will be strictly following Neil’s directions, that would be the right question

Still amazes me that pro bodybuilder's need to use a coach to get stage ready. I'm sure they don't come cheap.

As for Ramy all he has to do is forget about size, he's going to be the biggest whatever he leans down to, come in 20lbs lighter and diced. It's always his condition that let's him down.

I genuinely doubt he'll ever get the Olympia title, he must realise that his condition is letting him down and if $400k isn't enough motivation to do whatever it takes then maybe he just doesn't have the genetic potential to reach that point. Time will tell I guess.

Coach is always great to have. Once you start dieting, your mind starts playing tricks with you, especially coming closer to a contest.
One morning you wake up and you think to yourself shit I’m so shredded and full, that looks amazing. Next morning you look in the mirror - what a fat pig.
That’s the reality, been there myself.

I think it’s impossible to go on stage for pros without coach, for example I sometimes forget what I need to pin or eat while on cycle

Write down and track everything in a large style desk diary, thats what I do. Injection times on the hour, oral dosages taken, whats being pinned and also if I have a very good session I record everything that was eaten and drunk for the 4 hours prior to it. Its very very useful as a reference point a week or year on when you are wondering how you were performing so well at that point.

Making notes of your training and PED’s are great tools for the future progress, agree on this 100%

Lol My fitness pal is all I can handle.

Bet that’s cheaper than having a coach lol

Ramy is just plain on too much stuff. Too much size, too much site enhancement, not enough detail and separation (yep, even I still follow pro bodybuilding, even if I’m
not interested in it). It’s hard being told that he has to lose lbs of muscle to be competitive in today’s era where Shawn Rhoden is the Olympia ideal. I’d imagine Neil won’t have been the first coach to tell him so. The Camel Crew only made things worse, pushing him towards size for size’s sake. The move might work if Ramy has learned what the judges want by now and puts his trust in his coach.

Dr.BroScience's picture

The delt oil was off the charts this year. He looked more "site enhanced" or as normal humans call it
"fake muscle that looks totally stupid " than Nasser did in the early 2000's. Keep Ramy away from an open flame because all that oil could go up any second.

Sam I Am's picture

I was glad to see Rhoden win it. He actually looks like a human..

Everyone is saying the same thing: “Kai must still be kicking himself.” I don’t think that look is what the judges are looking for. Rhoden still would have won even with Kai on the stage. They’re sick of the distended guts. Even Roelly reined in the gut. It’s a changing of the guard in bodybuilding

Dr.BroScience's picture

Totally disagree. A diced Kai smokes Rhoden all damn day, everyday.

I preface this as a diced Kai. At this point of his career who knows if he can accomplish that again. But all things considered Rhoden is nowhere close to a 100% peaked Kai.

This years contest went down to simplistics. Rhoden won a conditioning and abs contest vs the most disliked reigning champion with a blown out gut. Rhodens strengths were Heaths glaring weaknesses.

Rhoden however as a point of fact, owns the weakest back and the most pitiful triceps of any Olympian in history.

Rhoden is a transitional champion bridging the gap between the Heath era and the next one...

Rhoden however as a point of fact, owns the weakest back and the most pitiful triceps of any Olympian in history

Chris Dickerson might like a word about that

Dr.BroScience's picture

Chris Dickerson did not weigh 250 pounds while sporting the triceps of a Bantamweight.

In fact, Rhoden had the worst triceps of any competitor on the Olympia stage in 2018. There is a reason the "side tricep" pose for Rhoden morphed into a clear and obvious "front abs and thighs" pose

Very smart move to attempt to hide the weakest of weak points while accentuating his greatest strengths.

Rhoden won the conditioning, abs, and the psychological game within the game. And kudos to him for it. But I have never seen a more incomplete Mr. O in my life other than Franco-gyno in 81 and a totally blown out Yates in 1997.

Sam I Am's picture

That's bodybuilding bro. It's all opinion. I'd love to look like Rhoden but not Ramy. Condition always outscores size. The pitiful thing is Rhodens Mr O and were all talking about Ramy...I'd wager Ramy will earn more than Rhoden this year. So who really won?

Dr.BroScience's picture

The Olympia is always the circus side show where everybody loves the freaks...hence all the never ending Ramy hype and talk.

Rhodens win is a breath of fresh air because lets really boil it down to brass tax...nobody comes in shape. I have seen so many bloated messes where they dont even look dieted down. No sunken cheeks, no deep grooves on the abs, or roadmap rock hard muscle.

The taboo compound we dont talk about here has ruined bodybuilding to the point where all everyone cares about is being big and full. Well biggness and fullness means nothing if you are fat, bloated, out of shape mess. Rhoden came in full, seperated, and completely diced. And while his physique has obvious flaws, the flow and conditioning was second to none. THAT is the story. Someone actually coming in shape and being rewarded for it. In that sense, to be honest, in 2015 I had Dexter winning that show due to the qualities that lead to Rhodens win...

I agree with you. It is Rhodens moment. Screw the hype. Ramy has gone backwards and has a long way to go. If anything we should be talking about how incredible the improvements that Roelly has consistently made the past few years culminating with this years O placing. Roelly has much better odds at actually taking the title than Ramy does.
