-4 3 Questions you should ask yourself.
Before you even consider buying a gym membership, Before you buy those gym close.
And defiantly before you consider AAS.
Ask yourself three questions.
1.Can I do 30 correct push ups without stopping?
2.Can I do 3 unassisted pull ups?
3.Can I run a mile without stopping?
If your answer is not yes to all of these questions, in my opinion you are wasting your time and money.
Being able to do the push ups , shows the muscular endurance and core strength for that particular muscle group necessary to lift weights correctly for at least an hour, i.e. bench press etc
The pull ups represent your ability to handle your own body weight of course ,but more over your bodies muscular endurance in parallel to your body weight. Meaning is it even gonna show when you build muscle? Are you even gonna be able to work that muscle group correctly for an hour?
Being able to run a mile with out stopping, represents your cardiovascular endurance of course. And It really does not matter how quickly you run the mile, it matters if you can do it without sopping and I do not mean on a tread mill. I mean in real time. Again it shows your cardiovascular endurance which will help you immensely in being able to last at least an hour in the gym , but it also shows your thresh hold for pain.
The above list represents the lowest standards, in my opinion that is.
I hope this helps everyone who is just getting started, and maybe a few who are not making the proper progress.

You're jerking my chain now, lol, no way that's true.....????
No homo
All jokes aside. my friend goes to one. he said they do it every week. Sometimes even cake.
Folks at work didn't mention that, but honestly now that I think about it I can believe it.
Thanks bro. My first real gym experience was at an American Fitness Center in Jax Fl 1980. I was a skinny kid. I could only use 50 lbs on the press part of the Nautilus double shoulder. I guarantee there’s quite a few pencil necks in Planet Fitness that will surpass anything I’ve accomplished. You have to start somewhere and you can get a good workout anywhere...I encourage all people to get in shape.
Lmao... ya I don't think they're letting me in either lol..
Your always welcome in my basement. Its known as The Dungeon. No girls allowed. Keeps the wife out of my tool box .. : /
That's hilarious my whole gyms in a basement too lol. . it was a garage gym at one point but we moved.. I'm now know as the cellar dweller lmao
One of us needs to start a home gym club. There’s a lot of us on here. My basement is all free weights and plate loaded machines. I have 11 retro Nautilus machines in the garage. A couple of them are semi rare.
That's awesome bro sounds just like mine.. my father was a bodybuilder in the80s and90s so I grew up with the gym right in my yard.. we've built it up over the years to a respectable level for a home gym.. the only time I go to a gym now is if I wanna use the hammer strength machines or do real heavy leg presses.. besides that i have everything else I need to keep the gains coming man...I love it.. never waiting on equipment or being able to do giant sets with no one in way.. it's how I like it.. the gym is my zen and im all business in there..I don't wanna be waiting on some kid sitting on a bench texting and posting selfies on Instagram or some shit lol
