Hi Hemoglobin but not on gear right now
ad
Hi guys just been told that my Hemoglobin is slightly high after having blood work, this was not for hormones. So im wondering what you guys do on cycle apart from donating blood that can help. I understand this should be in the diet section but i felt guys on gear would be better placed for advice.

You have sleep apnea? How's the hematocrit?
If your high elevation (low oxygen like jay mentioned) this always a concern i got mine down with regular blood donations and also you should stay hydrated drink more water and make sure you have enough sodium to retain it (for every 3 waters drink a gatorade/squencher)
Make sure you donate as already stated. Do you remember what the number was? I recently donayed and I was in the 17s which is on the high side. I take a high dose multivitamin which I think is playing into it. Do you smoke or have breathing issues? Low blood oxygen level can cause an increase in rbc. Of course see your dr. If its concerning you. Stay safe
It was my doc who told me my hemoglobin was slightly high, i was at 18 and she showned me a chart explaining i was on the high side of normal for my age. Didnt think anything of it at the time because my doc wasnt too concerned but anything i can do to lower it im willing to try.
If it's only slightly high don't panic. Go ahead donate some blood. Talk to your doctor about it. He will probably ask you if you smoke, then check your lungs with a stethoscope and then ask you about sleep apnea. It's generally a sign that your muscles are asking for more oxygen then your blood is delivering. Good hydration vitamin B12 and a blood donation are the short-term fixes.
How long ago was your last cycle? Did it contain Deca, Anadrol or EQ? Those things will keep your red blood cell count high for a while.
Havnt cycled for 12 months. It was deca i used last.
12 months is a long time, but deca does leave lingering effect for a while.
dont know about 12 months though.
what has previous bloodwork looked like?
any sleep apnea going on?
Havnt had bloods for a long time, never had high hemoglobin on any before. No sleep apnea. Ive heard reducing iron in your diet helps. Maybe some of you guys have had success with that.
i eat too much iron myself, chex cereals.
simple solution is to give blood.
Yes talk to doc, however donate asap. That is best way to lower quickly.
The first thing I'd do in this case is to show bloods your doc. High Hemoglobin can have many, also dangerous, causes!
