This is my first cycle
ad
I'm new to all of this.... I have lifted weights for 20 years, and never touched a PED in my life. However, I'm getting to the age where my drastic physical decline is just around the corner, and there are still things I want to accomplish. Which has lead me here. For my 1st cycle, I'm planning on running test E only. Start out at 250 mg a week, and if my body responds well, with no problems, I will up the dose to 500 mg. I'm not planning on being on for more than 10 weeks. I have pct mess on hand, and have done hours of research but would still enjoy some solid advice from first hand users

What are your expectations and goals? Not enough information for anyone to give you appropriate feedback. Furthermore you need to get bloods done before and after as the impact of running even a test only cycle will go far beyond your physical appearance in the mirror or obtaining a new PR. Also, what is your layout for PCT. Furthermore, having an AI in your hand is a must.
AnonWould just like to preface this by saying that I probably came across wrong a few months back when I first posted this. I didn't realiz this was a body building site. That probably sounds retarded, but it's the truth, that's all I've got, lol. I powerlift, so my goals and how I'm gonna get there differ from a lot of fellas on here. And that's fine, to each his own. Since the time when I first posted, I have done a shitload of reading, and have a better understanding of what the vets usually have to deal with. And I'm not one of those dudes. My goal is to bench 600lbs. I've gotta 20 years wrapped up in this deal, and it's pretty important to me. I began to consider AAS usage because I'm not a spring chicken anymore. I've been putting off an elbow and shoulder surgery for several years because I don't want to lose the time. I can't have both of the surgeries done at once, some I'm looking at loosing 24 wks of training time, or at least that what the forecast from the doc was. But to answer your question, I've got PCT meds. Anastrozole, exemestane, cloned, and nolvadex. Also some letro. Not planning on running all of that together, but having them on hand was a no-brained. My gear is hear, just got my bloods back today. Still haven't pulled the trigger on AAS. Some of the vets rubbed me the wrong way, but that doesn't mean I didn't take their advice. I've just been reading, training, and waiting. Also decided I should probably drop a few pounds too. Hope this novel answers your question, lol U
Brother, I was in your shoes not very long ago. I would suggest that you get much more specific goals, diet & workout plan. Furthermore, post a pic... let's everyone know you're being honest with stats. Based on your post, you're going to have a difficult time getting the feedback I think you're looking for. It can be tough for noobs on here; they don't just hand out the advice... Cheers! and best of luck.
AnonThanks for the advice. Sure hope I didn't piss that guy off, looks like he's been around a bit.... Ill keep reading, post some pics, and we will see what happens. My gear hasn't shown up yet, so there isn't really any need for to get too worked up yet.
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkCan you post an unidentifiable pic? What are your goals for this cycle? How successful do you want this cycle to be? Post your cal/mac plan.
Welcome to Eroids....glad you're here...
AnonAs far as my diet goes. Man, I've been eating like a dog for years. The same thing everyday. My diet doesn't stray too far from chicken, brown rice, cabbage, eggs, and sweet potatoes. Combine them however you want, that's what I eat. I have never really counted calories, I just never eat so much that I'm bloated, and I never let myself get so hungry that I pig out.
Your diet is going to be a big problem here. Steroids don't make up for a poor diet. Believe it or not, even steroids can't build something out of nothing. You have a lot of nutritional basics to learn first before you should start a cycle otherwise you are going to be severely dissappointed in the results and blame everything on bunk steroids when in actuality it was your diet.
AnonI am very capable of taking criticism and learning from this e that know more than me. I powerlift, and as far as that goes. These types of foods have done me a pretty good job. If you're asking for specific amounts of carbs, protein, etc. I try to get close to 300 grams protein, and 400 carbs a day. But as I said, AAS is new for me. How about a solution, instead of only citing problems. I'm an empty notebook, let's fill it up.
Read my forums. That will fill up your empty notebook.
AnonAlright makwa, I think we got off on the wrong foot. Can I get a mulligan? Lol
AnonYeah, I can get a pic up here one of these days. As far as my goals, that's a difficult question. I don't really know what I should expect. I would say my number 1 goal is just to get through this first cycle with as few problems as possible. I would like to see a strength increase, but like I said, getting the first one done is number one for me.
That is not a goal and a piss poor reason to run a cycle. Until you get your head on straight and actually have a meaningful goal you want to achieve, I would suggest not running a cycle.
AnonWell I was sure I would run into this at some point. I have never done AAS. Do I have goals, of course I have goals. But I don't have a lot of hefty expectations when doing something for the very first time. I came to this board for advice, not for a condescending rant from you. Im pretty sure you were in my spot once too.
Pretty sure I wasn't. My main goal was to step on stage and all my cycles were geared to helping me achieve that overall goal. Never was my main expectation just to make it through my first cycle. lol
Sounds to me like you are setting yourself up for failure. My condescending rant is over. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
unreal89Not trying to argue with you irishmack but recommending 8 weeks is that worth the shut down when test e or cyp dont really kick until week4-5 i wouldnt waste shutting down for 8 weeks seems pointless .
unreal89I would run 500mg for 12 weeks thats a starter cycle
unreal89I wouldnt start and bump up thats just gonna roller coaster your.hormones what kind of ai do you have on hand and what are you using for pct??
AnonI have aromasin, anastrozole, and letrozole. Along with Clomid, nolvadex, and some hcg. I'm not planning on running all of this at the same time. I just wanted it on hand. I still have a lot more questions to ask
I'm also still fairly new to AAS usage, so please keep in mind this is just my opinion based on my research and talking to more experienced users.
I would go ahead and start the cycle at 500mg per week. As test is natural to your body, you shouldn't see too many sides other than to find out if you are prone to aromatising thus leading to possible gyno and water retention....and to whether or not you produce DHT from the extra test at a higher rate. You'll know from the oily skin, possible acne especially on your back, and hair loss if you are prone to male pattern baldness already. You won't be able to tell much from 250mg per week unless you have some type of adverse reaction to the test which is so rare it virtually doesn't exist. If you already have an AI, start it also with the 500mg of test. I've only ever run test cyp, but it is almost the same as test e. It will more than likely be at least 5 to 6 weeks before you feel anything from the injections at 500mg per week so a 10 week cycle might be a little short. It's okay, I just might would take it to at least 12 weeks or maybe 16 weeks. Like I said, this is all just my opinion and I'm sure others with vastly more experience than me will be glad to help you out. You made the best move you could have by coming here and asking first. Good job on that!
You ARE still new to this, suggesting a 12 or 16 week 1st cycle is pretty stupid, he is an older gentlemen and you very well could set him up for trt.
OP if you plan on doing a cycle start off with 8 weeks of 500mg a week split twice. You need to do a bloodtest before you start to see where your test levels are. After 5 weeks its a good idea to do another one as you have no idea if you have high estro, high test, or any other numbers that could be good or bad. About a month after pct, do another bloodtest to see how well you recovered.
Start your ai at the fourth week and if you take adex take that .25 a day up until your bloodtest. If it is aromasin its 12.5 a day til the test. That should tell you if your estro is in check or high/low and you can adjust it from there. Stay safe.
Curious since I myself have always though long esters at that length to be a bit of a waste... I understand he's an older gentlemen so he will react much differently that us younger folk, but wouldn't it be better to run a shorter ester in this case, seemingly get more out of it? The pinning would suck of course...
AnonWell questions like yours are exactly why I'm here. Everything I've read has told me that the slower acting compounds usually have sides that are less severe. That was my main reasoning behind the test e. I don't have any kind of fear whatsoever about pinning. And I've accepted that there will probably be some pip. This is the game I'm playing, and I'll deal with it. So what are you trying to say? At my age, do you believe cypionate or prop would have more advantages?
I am on TRT and believe me, pinning all the time gets old fast. The reason behind a longer ester 1st cycle is to get you used to pinning, then after you have that under wraps you can use prop. Saying you dont mind and actually doing it are 2 different things. With pinning prop; you have to inject at the same time every day or every other day because it is a fast in and out. You will then have to have a 7 point rotation of sites to use and you cannot pin the same spot more then once in a 7 day window. With the longer ester you can use 4 spots so the spacing is further away from each other. It requires a lot of micro management and on your 1st cycle you want to concentrate on gains and diet and training. Although any cycle you should but for this one its more important.
AnonHey Mack, got that blood test scheduled, wanted to talk some numbers with you. I know you don't owe me any favors, but you sound like you have some knowledge. Friend request sent
I have a little knowledge, enough to be deadly and not enough to not be curious. Aceepted.
AnonI completely agree. That makes good sense. Well as soon as this shit shows up, I'll get this show on the road!
You figure the 4th week is when the long esters start to work, now you have 4 weeks to shine. If everything is proper there will be growth in that window. After the cycle he can see how he reacted and based on his bloods he could run another and extend it a little. OP is nervous enough and if we say use prop and pin everyday he might drop entirely lol.
Makes sense then. At his age and with the risk of TRT it's better to run a shorter "test" (flashes pun gun) cycle to observe how he reacts, recovers, etc.
Basically a don't put the cart before the horse approach. Appreciate it Mack, always learn something from you.
AnonThanks for the concern Irish Mack, but I'm solid! Lol Yeah I'm nervous, maybe a little scared, but like I said, I still have goals. So I'll walk through the rest of this shit. I'm sure you guys know right where I'm at! Lol
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkAnonWould you suggest a blood panel for anything else prior to starting?
Thats entirely up to you, if you have any underlying medical issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney, high cholesterol, e.t.c. If those are pre existing then it could become an issue.
AnonWell I'm just trying to stick the basics on this first one. And I want to do the basics very well. I just want to have my bases covered, I don't want to be surprised by something I didn't see coming. I'm a little nervous, if you couldn't already tell!
Get the bloods done and then your worries will be a little less...unless something pops out lol
AnonYeah, I'll get it going. I work at a hospital, so it's not like it's inconvenient for me, lol
As someone older than him, I fully understand the risk of causing the need for trt.
And due to my lack of experience is exactly why I told him that it was just my opinion, basically take it with a grain of salt, and that others, such as yourself, with more experience would surely be happy to help.
WOW! And I see you hit my karma for trying to help. Thanks. That's certainly a way to keep new people involved and trying to help.
You were helpful, up until you decided to give disguised advice. People only see or hear what they want to and any advice intentional or unintentional can be taken as such.
See more and more of it lately. Won't be like ng before the hammers come back out for a clean up
Understood. I shall "step a little more lightly" and carefully from here on out. As I said, I learned something and that's always a positive thing.
But then, I learned something so that's always worth the cost in karma.
It is always best if you are unsure to sit and watch. Ill give it back to you.
I understand and will definitely keep that in the front of my mind BEFORE replying to any post. Thanks for the lesson.
