Summer cycle help
What's up everybody?! I am taking a break from doing taxes to think about something enjoyable. I am planning my summer cycle and I got great advice from you guys that made the cycle I finished about a month ago a successful first blast. I tried posting a new pic but eroids seems to love my original pic and put the old pic back up instead of the new one even after I deleted it. Anyway, here are my current stats so you don't have to look them up:
Age: 32
height: 6'3
Weight: 247
BF: 16-17%
This cycle is going to be a bulk. I am looking for quality mass and strength. My plan was to do a 12-14 week test and bold cyp cycle with a tbol kick. However, I had ordered some mast e to add to my trt for the next couple months until I started my summer cycle. Long story short the source ran out of mast e so I had to choose a replacement and I chose eq because I already had a pretty good stash of it. I will have enough eq to run up to 800mg for 25 weeks. I am not saying I want to run it that long and to tell the truth I am a little intimidated by a cycle more than 12 to 14 weeks. So here is the layout is was contemplating:
Test c week 1-20 400 to 600mg per week
EQ week 1-20 600 to 800mg per week
Tbol kicker week 1-5 50mg per day
My questions about this cycle:
Would it be a good idea to add something else towards the end of the cycle? Usually after 12-14 weeks my body feels like I need to stop or change up my dosages or compounds. I haven't ever continued past that time frame but I think I would have to shake things up to keep making progress. Is that not the case with eq since it takes a while to get in your system?
Training has been great. I've been using makwa's giant set workout the past few months and I love the results I am seeing. I unfortunately tweaked an old back injury and I am stuck on machines until it stops bugging me currently.
Lastly.... my diet. This is where I usually struggle. I would give my diet during my last cycle a C+. Cutting during the holidays was definitely not my best idea ever. I give props to all you guys that keep your body fat so low and are swole to boot. I have been hanky as a mah trucka while cutting but having people tell me I am looking skinny and don't have a gut has been a change.
Here is my typical non cutting diet:
Meal 1
16oz smoothie
8-10 egg whites
1 1/2 cup oatmeal, granola, or 3-4 whole grain English muffins
Meal 2-5
6-8oz protein
Sweet potato, baked potato, Japanese sweet potato, 2 cups brown rice or whole wheat pasta- depending on time of the day and workouts.
Meal 6
16oz smoothie
3 organic rice cakes w peanut butter
My smoothie contains 3 cups fage 0% yogurt, 1 cup of each- carrots, cilantro, Italian parsley, spinach, 1 whole beat, 1 banana, juice half of a lemon, and water for 32oz. I would encourage everyone to make smoothies. Makes eating veggies easy.
I am still a newbie to tracking macros so I am open to all your suggestions. My goals are to keep adding size and strength while keeping extra body fat added during the bulk to a minimum. Let me know your thoughts and critiques. Back to taxes.... Ssshhheeeeiiiiittttt!!

RustyhookerStop the eq a week earlier...gives 3 weeks clear time with long esters. Eq really ramps up after week 9. I know what ya mean with the flat spot. That's where you bump calories up and see if it jolts ya. Can intensify workout with drops, pauses etc to spark growth.
Definitely chat on catalyst forum in general. This will be all about food. Long cycle and food will get boring but add spices etc.
Im not a fan of orals as kickers. Oils hit fast and less liver stress. Then tail end I can pick oral that matches where I am at. Bulking can hit tbol the last 6 up til pct when cycle is booming. Or var as example if you're coming in full 6 pack, trying to lean out. 400/800 is plenty strong but gotta have foods for recovery and the volume in lifting has to be top notch.
Back pumps...eq hits them hard. Taurine 1000 pwo and sometimes 500 at work til pumps are managed. Redbull is excellent in emergency.
Hey buddy Thanks for stopping by! I am trt so no need for stopping eq early. I am actually sitting in the endos office as we speak. So week nine or ten I should calculate my new tdee and ramp calories up from there? I could do a prop kick like my last cycle and use the tbol the last six weeks. That is why I was wondering if I needed to switch up doses or compunds mid way to avoid a sticking point. This would be my first run longer than 12 weeks and I want to cover all my bases. Would you run bold cyp first so you could stick to a 12-14 week timeline and save undec until a later eq cycle or does it not make a difference which ester you run with your first experience with the compound?
I will post in the diet section and see what their advice would be to optimize my foods for that length of time. I love the giant set workout. It keeps everything progressive in strength and endurance. I like to throw a couple weeks of 5×5 workouts like I did before I found this workout after a couple months to switch things up for a bit and then hit the giant sets again. Thanks for the extra tips for back pumps. Any other changes you would make? Thanks for taking the time to reply.
RustyhookerBold cyp would give you the faster boom to your cycle and alleviate a long cycle. I've been wanting to do the same but keep on with the eq I have. So, sure!
Sounds like your workout plan will keep the body guessing and changing, forcing growth. Excellent!
Makwa has a good forum on calories as well. So yes, bumping up as needed to fuel the new growth is good.
I think you're fully on the right track and will have an excellent cycle. Eq is one that can be manipulated easily. High test or low test works well without loss of libido in me at least. Some times I run test even with the eq for the full bulking effect. Or lower test so the eq does its shine. Adding mass but not having bloat or estro worries.
That was my intial thinking to stay away from the long cycle but I have so much regular eq from the out of stock mishap I am torn.
I've saved a bunch of makwa's posts and none of them have steered me wrong. I am still working on manipulating my calories and macros. I used to always use the lose it app but it, myfitnesspal, and tdee all gave me different maintenance calories. I have been sticking with tdee. I have been doing much better being aware of my diet but I still have a long way to go.
I like the versatility you described. I want to stay away from 19 nors for the time being since I imagine they were a large part of me being in the trt situation I am in. Going to the doc is so frustrating I don't know how anyone could think this is something they are looking forward to. I feel so good with test and I think bold is the right hormone for my next step. Now which ester to choose?!
RustyhookerLol...the joy of planning. So many options that work. Kinda like a Christmas though
It really is! The goal is the same but the strategy to get there is open to interpretation.
RustyhookerBingo!
What compounds do you have experience with?
I have run test c, e, sust, deca, dbol, and provi
bigmurphI have a question the eq your going to run is it og eq or bold cyp. Im just curious myself about the bold cyp i have never ran a cycle for 20wks so I can't be to much help. I would like to hear from the people who have ran it if its just like the reg eq and running it that long is still a good thing.
Hey buddy it is og eq. I was going to run the bold cyp but the out of stock issue I had kind of made my choice for me. They were out of stock on pretty much everything lol. Only thing I was interested in was the eq and all I could get was 500mg per ml. Hopefully if I cut it the bite won't be to bad. The cycle doesn't have to be 20 weeks. It could be any where from 15 to 20. It will be my first really long run and that is why I was asking about dosages and if I need to tweak them mid way. Those are the same questions I was curious about as well and why I wanted the cyp version. I can still buy the cyp since this is a few months away if others think it is a better idea to run the cyp version before the undec or vice versa. Thanks for the reply.
